The Lord Said He Is Going To "Tear Down That Wall"

It was the first time my husband or I had ever been to a Christian Korean fellowship. My husband, Steven, had been teaching, and then he invited the Holy Spirit to come and minister to all who needed a touch from the Father's hand. There was a great sense of anticipation in the room. Each person there, mostly young people in their twenties and thirties, was ready and poised for the Holy Spirit to move upon them. No one left either of the two services disappointed. The Lord came in a tender and healing way and brought freedom to His children.

By My Own Hand

As I sat there worshipping with our Korean brethren, the Holy Spirit quickened my heart and clearly told me that He was going to "tear down that wall." My first thought was to a very vivid picture in my mind of former President Ronald Reagan, using that exact same phrase, while addressing another dictator during his own time in the Oval Office. It came to pass, and when it did, it happened in a day! The Lord spoke clearly to me a second time, just moments later, and told me that He was going to "tear down that wall" between North Korea and South Korea sovereignly, and that the brutal dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-il, would be removed from power by His Own hand.

A Comforting Word To North (and South) Koreans

You can probably imagine how thrilled and amazed I was when I heard this from the Lord that Sunday morning nearly two months ago. I shared this with the worship leader who said it would answer the ongoing, day-and-night prayers of millions of people. I knew he was thinking to himself, "I pray this is truly a word from the Lord," even though he looked rather incredulous while he was listening to me as I shared this revelation with him.

I pray that this revelation will bring comfort and hope to millions of Korean brothers and sisters in Christ -- great comfort, and even greater hope that the Lord has heard and is going to answer the continual cries of His people calling out to Him night and day to intervene in the desperate situation taking place daily in North Korea, where just being a believer can mean your immediate execution, imprisonment, and unspeakable torture.

Believe and Intercede!

I believe we are going to see this happen, even as we saw the Berlin wall come down in a day and the former Soviet Union fall. I also believe this can be hastened if the saints begin to pray without ceasing for North Korea and believe the Lord that it will happen, even as it did when the saints prayed over the wall that separated Germany to fall and for freedom for the entire former Soviet Union. If we believe that the Lord will save Israel in a day as the scripture says, then surely we can believe the Lord to save these precious people, suffering so terribly in North Korea today, under the rule of another heinous dictator, by pummeling the heavens through our intercession.
