Who will stand for justice and righteousness in this day and age?
Judges 17:6 - "In those days, there was no king in Israel. Everyone
did what was right in their eyes."
This is a verse for today. But what do you call it when everybody just
does what is right in their own eyes? We call it Pluralism. Pluralism
is the belief that all truths are equally valid. It is the absence of
absolute truth. It's the same thing as Relativism. It's a rejection
of truth.
And what are we without truth? If there is no truth, is there any real
basis for law? Is there any real basis for history? Is there any framework
at all for our existence? What is man, but the search for truth?
Law and History are crucial for us to understand if we are going to
live together in any kind of society. Without law there is anarchy,
without history there is ignorance.
A people without history are easily swayed. Just look at Germany shortly
before the rise of Hitler.
That is why we are seeing such a battle being fought in the universities
over history. There are those who want to rewrite the events of the
past and put their own fingerprint on them. They want their professors
to teach their history, with a "spin" that is more favorable to their
point of view. It is a complete lack of respect for truth. It's the
same as saying, "My politics are not an extension of my beliefs." But
where will pluralism lead us if we do not resist? Pluralism leads to
anarchy, and anarchy leads to tyranny. That is why the election of George
Bush is so crucial this November. Without God's righteous man in the
White House, anarchy will begin in the streets of America, and the government
will respond by taking away our freedoms.
"Alternative lifestyles" will be taught to your children in schools,
and the moral foundations of this nation will completely collapse.
These aren't scare tactics to try and rouse you to participate in my
agenda. These are the beginnings of judgment coming upon this land.
If Bush doesn't deal with abortion and the injustice in the courts,
America will be under a curse.
God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. His ways do not change.
Look all throughout the Old Testament and you will see that time after
time He was forced to bring judgment in the face of blatant immorality.
Abortion, injustice, gay marriage: if these things are not immoral,
then what is?
But the Pluralist view is that these things are all right, as long as
they don't hurt anybody else. So the sin and immorality takes root
and begins to spread across the land, forcing God to react.
But it doesn't have to come to that. The church can stand for justice.
The church can stand for righteousness. If the church will stand today,
it can save millions of lives.
Called to
Accomplish His Purposes
It's easy to get discouraged. It's easy to look at the secular world
and the prevailing Pluralistic viewpoint, and say, "How can we ever
find any common ground?" Society has become polarized. Polarization
- we're in it, and the church must rise and provide a voice! We don't
need to find common ground. The bride of Christ needs to stand for truth,
without compromise or apology.
So what are we really talking about here? Nothing less than revolution... A revolution of holiness, justice, and righteousness. A spirit-led,
spirit-empowered Jesus revolution.
Ultimately, this isn't about politics, it isn't about economics...it's
about moral standards and truth. These are the foundations for any successful
society. Even early Rome was built on moral foundations and on a hunger
for truth. But those moral foundations were eroded, and they became
corrupt. It is no different than what we are seeing today, and if the
church doesn't act - if it doesn't vote and pray - then we will suffer
the same fate as the Romans.
Nobody thought that Rome could fall, but it was so eaten away by corruption
on the inside, that it couldn't stand in the face of Barbarian invaders.
That is why the decisions we make today are crucial for tomorrow. America
must be ruled by an agenda that promotes life. But if we let an agenda
that promotes death, an agenda that favors addiction to drugs, homosexuality,
assisted suicide, and abortion, not to mention pornography and sexual
immorality, then we invite judgment, and the destiny that God has laid
before this nation will be aborted.
We can sit in the Book of Revelations, comfortable in our Eschatology,
and not having faith that we can actually accomplish anything in these
last days, the whole time bemoaning that we were ever born, or we can
pray, we can restrain. Yes the Anti-Christ will come, but until his
appointed time comes, we can hold him back.
Why else does God have a church in the earth in this day and age, but
to accomplish His purposes? Why else are we here, but to find the lost,
and to pray for our God-ordained leaders?
The Call School joined me on the Cherokee Trail of Tears this fall,
and since then, we have seen huge things accomplished for the Kingdom
of God in the First Nations communities.
God wants to direct His church how to pray. He wants to give us authority
to shift things in the heavens. John the Baptist said, "Man can receive
nothing unless it has been given to him by heaven." So it comes down
to hearing God, and it comes down to being available to pray as He directs.
Mobilizing Prayer
To Change a Nation
Where two or more are in agreement, we can ask anything in the name
of Christ and it will be given to us. But we're not just talking about
two or three intercessors. We are talking about huge mobilization. We
are mobilizing all 50 states to pray for a shift in government on Labor
Day. We are urging the church to pray for President Bush to be re-elected.
Imagine if each state just brings 10,000 to pray. That's half a million
praying all at once. Imagine assaulting the heavens with the power of
500,000 fellow believers behind you. Who knows? We may even get as many
as 5 million.
But we can't just stop at praying for the President and our government.
We have to pray for our schools. The universities in this country are
governmental. We need to have righteousness taught in our schools again.
We need to have righteous professors in our schools.
That's why we are going to be mobilizing on college campuses. Already
the mobilization has started on campuses like San Jose State in Northern
California. We're going to be establishing Houses of Prayer on campuses
all across the state, and eventually all across this nation, commissioning
the youth to pray and turn back the tide of unrighteousness on their
campuses and all across the country.
A Prophetic
Generation For Such a Time As This
The youth are crucial to this. This upcoming prophetic generation has
a special anointing to break the back of abortion. God has brought them
into this world for such a time as this. But there is even more that
we must do if we are to win this struggle for the soul of our nation.
We have to get outside the four walls of our church buildings and take
Christ out onto the streets. We are in the process of linking arms with
a ministry called Saving Arrows. What Saving Arrows does is they send
young girls out to abortion clinics, not to protest, but to minister
to the hurting girls who are going to get abortions. These young girls
look for opportunities to abort the abortions, speaking life and sharing
the love of Christ with those who need it most. And God has anointed
them to save the lives of their generation.
By confronting immorality on the streets, and in the prayer room, we
hit the schemes of the enemy with a two-pronged attack, and we will
begin to see much more success than ever before. California Senator
Barbara Boxer - a leading abortion advocate - was recently quoted as
saying that, "Abortion is hanging by a thread," and now we're even seeing
Roe vs. Wade challenged in a court in Louisiana. If this doesn't give
you faith that this nation can be turned back to God, and that the church
can move in power and authority in this day and age, then what will?
