When I go "out and
about" teaching on hearing God's Voice, my favorite topic, far and away,
is teaching and showing those people who think they don't hear God's Voice,
that they DO IN FACT hear His Voice, even though they don't recognize it
as that. A sudden distraction that causes one to miss the bus, an
impulse to do one more thing which causes one to miss a plane that later
crashes. A "goof" not to properly set the alarm which caused you to
miss a deadly appointment. You never heard a voice. You didn't feel an angel
grab you by the sleeve. Yet the "voice" you thought you didn't hear, brought
life to you, instead of death. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my Voice."
(John 10:27). Whether you like it or not, if you are reading this,
you DO HEAR HIS VOICE. Now you just need to Deal with it! ; - )

THE ELIJAH LIST
This is something that I do in my mind from time to time when things do not
go my way. I thought you may want to take the time to read through this (It
is short) and adjust your thinking when things do not go your way this week.
Blessings, Kim Alexis
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting
dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't
get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you. Doubtful? Think about
Reports after 9/11 Twin Towers Attack
After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies
who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available
office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why
these people were alive...... and all the stories were just 'little' things.
As you might know, the head of the company got in late that day because his
son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.
One missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is
why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing
telephone ... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is
exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.
May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may
you remember their possible purpose.

Model for a Better Future"
by Kim Alexis
|In this deeply personal
and powerful book, famed supermodel, actress, athlete, spokesperson, wife,
and mother Kim Alexis tells how she escaped the snares and temptations that
destroyed many of her peers. With frankness and conviction, warmth and humor,
she brings you in close for a one-on-one conversation on how to build a
stable home, how to be an effective parent, and how to combat the moral
pollution that threatens families, communities, and the nation.
THE ELIJAH LIST also purchased from Kim and is making
available to our readers, Kim's book, "A Model for a Better Future"
where she describes her journey, beginning with modeling, but also
how she began to understand that God was speaking to her. She has
some great words of wisdom in this book.
