"Marriages
are Made In Heaven!"
(So is Lightening and Thunder)

mother had a little girl who was playing down the street at a neighbor's
house. A storm was brewing and the mother out of concern called the
neighbor and said, "Please send my little girl home quickly."
The mother watched
from the kitchen window as all of a sudden the storm broke loose and it
started pouring down rain with lightning flashing and thunder booming.
As the little girl was coming home about two blocks away, the mother
watched intently and noticed that every time it would lightning, the
little girl would stop and stand still and a smile would break out
across her face. Two or three times every time it would lightning the
girl would just stop and would start to smile. Out of fear for her
safety, the mother ran out of the house and picked her daughter up in
her arms and ran inside the house with her. As soon as they were in the
house, the mother said to the little girl, "Honey, how come every time
it would lightning, you just stood still and started smiling?" The
little girl answered, "Mommy, all the way home God's been taking my
picture!"
Child-Like in a Storm
Oh, how we need a child-like perspective when the storms are raging in
our lives. In our worst storms, when lightning is flashing all around us
and the thunder booms shake the earth beneath us. To know that God's
eyes are focused on us in our worst storms, and the lightning flashing
in your marriage today may be God taking your picture, while thunder is
Heaven's applause over you!
I sense many marriages are being bombarded by severe, raging storms like
never before. Did you know that when you were even thinking about
marriage, God was already thinking of miracles? God spells the word
marriage...m-i-r-a-c-l-e! The Lord actually created marriages with a
built-in need for miracles. The Lord ordained marriage to not only
require miracles but to demand them. Marriages demand miracles!
Marriages and Miracles Go Together
From Heaven's
perspective, here is how it works. The Lord will allow your wine in your
marriage to run out to get you on miracle territory!
Just like at the
first marriage wedding feast in Cana. Did you know that when the Lord
brought you and your spouse together, He knew you would need a miracle?
In fact, there is something wrong if your marriage doesn't need a
miracle sooner or later. Marriages and miracles just go together! Jesus
chose to create His first miracle on earth where He knew it would be
needed the most - at a wedding feast, so everyone will know they can
have a miracle in their marriage. Study the couples throughout the Bible
who had great destinies and you will find that they faced the greatest
impossibilities and nothing less than a miracle brought them through to
God's purposes.
Expect miracles in your marriage today! Lightning and thunder is
confirmation that your marriage was made in Heaven!
