1. An Assignment Through a Dream - Judicial Intercession

I received a dream around nine months ago where the Holy Spirit spoke to me concerning my next "Intercessory Assignment". He said, "In the past you have helped to re-dig the wells of the Watch of the Lord, Prophetic Intercession, Contemplative Prayer and Crisis Intervention. I am now giving you your next intercessory assignment. It is Judicial Intercession." I awoke from the dream knowing I had heard the Lord. I chewed on this concept for months - I pondered, meditated, prayed over it, studied and reviewed scripture. Then recently I have had the green light from the Holy Spirit to begin to release this message on Judicial Intercession.

(Please note: I am not saying I alone brought forth any of these intercessory truths. If something is authentically of the Lord, there are always multiple voices that bring forth a message along with a company of people from different places, backgrounds and experiences who partner in pioneering and polishing the truth into a more mature application. This once again is the case. The theme of "Justice" is being taught by many voices in this hour such as Lou Engle, John Paul Jackson, Cindy Jacobs and others. Some are encouraging intercession for our Judicial System in our Government. I give a shout of Amen to that! But I am presenting this is a broader manner with applications that are personal as well as corporate.)

2. God Presented as a Judge - Scriptures on Justice

We must have a revelation that God is the Judge and that we have a rightful position to present our case through our Advocate /Lawyer - Jesus Christ the Righteous! Consider the following verses depicting our Father God as the Judge:

1. Hebrews 12:22-24

a. First we find a description of God's dwelling place.
b. Second those who dwell there with God.
c. Third the presentation of God Himself.

i. God as Judge of all
ii. Jesus as the Mediator
iii. Blood that "speaks" better than the blood of Abel

2. Genesis 18:25 - Abraham's plea to the Lord: "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

3. Judges 11:27 - The Lord be the Judge this day.

4. Isaiah 33:22 - For the Lord is our Judge.

5. Luke 18: 1-8 (especially vs. 6-7) - Prevailing upon the unrighteous Judge and the Lord said, "Hear what the unrighteous judge said! Now shall not God bring about justice for His elect, who cry out to Him day and night and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them speedily."

As believers in Christ in Jesus, we have the privilege and authority to present our case for a judicial hearing in the court room of heaven carrying with us the injustices, pains and wrongs suffered whether our own, others, churches, cities or nations before the righteous Judge. Isaiah 41:21, 22 plainly tells us, "Present your case," the Lord says. "Bring forward your strong arguments," The King of Jacob says, "Let them bring forth and declare to us what is going to take place; As for the former events, declare what they were, that we may consider them, and know their outcome; or announce what is coming." Isaiah 43:26 adds to this, "Put Me in remembrance; let us argue our case together, state your case, that you may be proved right."

This is none other than an invitation into Judicial Intercession where we bring our well-outlined case of injustices before the throne room of heaven for holy invention. We seek an injunction on the lawless thieves of darkness and compensation for the wrongs suffered to be determined and released. According to Isaiah, God wants us to win!

3. Time to Identify and Capture a Thief

At the beginning of 2004 the Holy Spirit revealed to me that the body of Christ would learn to "identify and capture a thief." (See my message on Open Doors in 2004) Paul the apostle stated that we were not to be ignorant of the devil's schemes. Therefore, discernment will increase as we learn the patterns of the generational enemies that have plagued our lives, families, cities, churches and ministries. The schemes of the enemy will be revealed!

But before we can capture these demonic thieves, we must find them. Before we can locate these enemies of our soul, we must identify them. You must discern your specific enemy knowing our battle is not against people, but we wrestle against the powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:11-13). These powers will have a name such as the generational spirit of infirmity, poverty, rejection, abandonment, death etc. Often we will need to do a hunt and search approach down the enemy's trail using research as a tool in one hand and spiritual gifts of perception in the other.

After identifying and capturing the thief, then we can bring these criminal demonic forces into courtroom hearing to be judged. Many times we do not come out on the winning side because we have not presented our case or been convinced that God is a just God! God loves justice.

4. God Loves Justice - His Throne is Established in Justice

Isaiah 28:5, 6 - In that day the Lord of hosts will become a beautiful crown and a glorious diadem to the remnant of His people; a spirit of justice for him who sits in judgment, a strength to those who repel the onslaught at the gate.

Proverbs 8:15, 16 - By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By Me princes rule, and nobles and all who judge rightly.

Proverbs 21:16 - The execution of justice is joy for the righteous, but it is terror to the workers of iniquity.

Proverbs 29:26 - Many seek the ruler's favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord.

Isaiah 16:5 - A throne will even be established in loving kindness, and a judge will sit on it in faithfulness in the tent of David; moreover, he will seek justice and be prompt in righteousness.

5. What Happens When a Thief is Caught

Through the completed work of the cross of Christ Jesus, we have access to the throne of God to receive help and mercy in times of need (Hebrews 4:16). Through the blood of Jesus we can now approach the throne of justice and mercy to receive two main things. First of all, we present our case of the injustices received, and we ask the judge to release the penalty due the offender. The case is heard and the thief is then brought before the judge for sentencing. Secondly, we then file for the appropriate amount of compensation that is due to the same degree of the offense. If we would truly do this with a pure heart and clean hands (Psalms 24:3-6), then the recompense of restored relationships, healing of damaged emotions, stolen health, finances, hope, purpose, prophetic destiny and calling and so much more would be enormous! Let's proceed now with faith and humility to claim our rightful inheritance.

John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.

Proverbs 6:30, 31 - Men do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry; But when he is found, he must repay sevenfold; He must give all the substance of his house.

1) We must realize that we qualify for the benefits.
2) We must file our brief in full.
3) We must call forth the indictment against the enemy (the laws of binding).
4) We must persist until the repayment is fully made (the laws of loosing).

When the thief is caught - not only must this "force" go to jail - but it has to restore at least up to seven times what was taken away! It is time for the Body of Christ to arise and enforce the victory of Calvary and walk in our divine inheritance. Let Judicial Intercession be fully restored for such a time as this!

Father, in the great Name of Jesus, we ask that you teach us how to identify and capture the thieves that have been hindering our lives and destiny. Holy Spirit, lead us in this art of capturing these demonic hosts and presenting them before our Judge and Father to be punished. We choose life this day for our household and ourselves. We call forth the righteous vindication of God to be released against these demonic hosts and that repayment be made in Jesus name. We call forth recompense for all the injustices we have suffered. We declare the best is yet to come and we shall prosper even as our soul prospers. For the Glory of God! Amen!
