Over the last year, I have seen a recurring vision
of ears enlarging. Sometimes I see the vision over individuals that
I am praying for and sometimes for the general Body of Christ. The vision
is in regards to an increased ability that is coming to God's people
enabling them to hear the word of the Lord with greater depth and accuracy.
He desires our prophetic revelation to increase. "He who has ears, let
him hear what the spirit is saying to the church."
Hearing from Him Directly
I believe He is clearly saying, "Do not lean to your own understanding
but in all your ways acknowledge Him." It is possible to hear from our
own mind, thoughts, and doctrinal/theological interpretation rather
than from His heart directly, but the Lord is calling us to a new level
of submitted posture in His presence. The fear of the Lord is going
to come to the people of God concerning the receiving and delivering
of prophetic revelation. It will be EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to hear the
accurate word of the Lord in the coming days � lives will depend on
it. The Lord spoke three things to my heart that are essential for growth
in our ability to hear.
A Call to Purity
1. The Lord is calling for purity of heart and lifestyle. Compromise
will clog the ear and make it difficult to hear with accuracy.
A Call for Your Time
2. Spend time with Him. Only in His presence shall we be able to separate
the voice of distraction and the stranger from His true voice. The Lord
spoke concerning the false prophets in Jeremiah 23:22 "But if they had
stood in My council, then they would have announced My words to My people
and would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil
of their deeds." Because they did not stand in the council of the Lord
but spoke from their own heart, they led the people into deception.
If we stand in His council we will hear the word that will deliver lives
and bring forth fruit.
A Call to Faithful Obedience
3. Obedience to what the Lord speaks. The Lord will entrust His people
with more insights concerning the mysteries of the Kingdom as we walk
in faithful obedience to what He reveals to us.
The following scripture came to me concerning David's posture of inquiry
before the Lord:
Psalm 27:4 One thing I have asked from the
Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all
the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire
in His temple.
Prayer directives:
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to release conviction concerning compromise
in our lives.
2. Pray for believers to be drawn to spend time in the Lord's presence
and for all distractions to be removed.
3. Pray for an increased ability to hear the voice of God in every believer.
4. Pray for a large company of prophets to be raised up who are hearing
the accurate word of the Lord. Believe for them to proclaim with boldness.
5. Pray for obedient hearts that will respond to the word of the Lord.
