From the desk of Steve Shultz:
I'm about to make a controversial stand, but it will be backed up by Scripture. First, let me say that I'm proud of our brave military. I believe that our President is correct in not posting death pictures. The Scriptures back me up on this.
Look at this: "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!" Ezekiel 18:30-32
God's desire is for everyone to be saved but each person has an option. In fact, the Godhead holds this position:
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Yet God gives each man a choice: He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. John 1:10-13
The end of the story is this: Though God calls many, not all will receive Him. But those who do will become the children of God. That's the beginning and the end of God's will. He is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End of the story.
In order to be prophetic, one must first start with Holy Writ. Enough said.
God is sad that some will not receive Him. We can't be prophetic if we don't start with the Bible.
