Dear Watchman on Guard:

This past weekend I was in San Jose for a Signs and Wonders Conference hosted by Barbara Wentroble. This was such a powerful gathering. The last morning of the conference the presence of the Lord descended upon us and a window of revelation opened. Even though we were on the West Coast and God specifically spoke to the West Coast, I believe He showed me a strategy for prayer for our nation.

FROM REVELATION TO REVELATION

So many of you participated in the last eight day strategic prayer thrust. Only heaven will reveal how the Wing of the Lord protected us because of your crying out. God is moving us from revelation to revelation, strategy to strategy, and victory to victory. The Body of Christ has not walked this way before. We must understand focused, strategic prayer. We are familiar with praying, seeing a circumstance taken care of, and then moving on with our lives. That is not the season we are in. The enemy has wiles to overtake and bring destruction to God’s covenantal people and plan at this time. Therefore, we as His army must stay focused.

Right now the Body of Christ must be on guard. Because of our covenant relationship with the Lord we are being sorely tested as a Christian nation. Really, that is what this war is about that we are in. Also, we are having to take new stands individually concerning our faith. You may feel that weapons of the enemy have been targeted against you. However, God is saying Jeremiah 50:25: “The Lord has opened His armory, and brought out the weapons of His indignation …� HIS ARMORY has been opened and His people have access to receive their weapons of war for the future.

THE SHIELD OF FAITH -- REDONE AND POLISHED

The one piece of our armor that I see Him dealing with NOW is the SHIELD OF FAITH. We must have our shield of faith redone and polished. Many shields are down, rusty and need of repair. The next three months we must rebuild our faith. God is saying “exercise your faith, experiment with Me again, and watch Me prove myself on your behalf.� Our mouths must be made like a sharp sword. At this time I see Him polishing us and hiding us in His abiding place. We must acquaint ourselves with His manifested Glory and get familiar again with the abiding place of God during this three month period. I just asked the Lord to release this polishing anointing on your shield of faith. Feel Him restoring you to new strength.

Now as you raise your shield of faith, let’s discuss our 21-day prayer strategy. Why 21 days? In Daniel 10, we find that Daniel wrestled 21 days without really understanding the extent of what he was accomplishing. He just knew he had a great burden. Sometimes a burden of the Lord will come upon us and we must stand fast for 21 days until we break the hindering sprits that are resisting revelation. The revelation Daniel had was a message “concerned with a great war.� He resisted the opposing spiritual force until the revelation of the future could come down. By his resisting, he opened a window of heaven and great revelation fell on him. May great revelation fall upon you at this time as you stand.

THE LORD SAID, "FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE 'WATCH'"

During the conference in San Jose the Lord said, “Find your place in the WATCH.� A WATCH is a division of time in which soldiers or others were on duty to guard something. They are listed as “evening,� “midnight,� “cockcrowing,� and “morning� (Mark 13:35 NASB).

Nehemiah set watches which may mean armed persons or just citizens on guard (4:9; 7:3). The Old Testament seems to have had three watches rather than four. There was the “beginning of the watches� (Lam. 2:19), the “middle watch� (Judg. 7:19), and the “morning watch� (Ex. 14:24). I want to encourage you for the next three weeks (October 23 – November 12) find your watch of the Lord! These watches run from 9-12 midnight, 12-3 AM, 3-6 AM, and 6-9 AM. I am not saying for you to set aside three uninterrupted hours for prayer. However, I would encourage you to be vigilant and seeking the Lord during your watch. If He awakens you at any of these times, ask specifically what He is saying and pray as He directs you.

PRAYER POINTS

Some prayer points to guide you are the following: (Note: These are EXCELLENT in my opinion! Steve Shultz)

1. I’ve had several prophets and intercessors send out an alert concerning Washington DC. Steve Shultz of the Elijah List was one. We must pray for our nation’s Capital the next three weeks. Ask God for a cleansing so “no disease� can take root and sweep this city and region. Several have picked up on a planned attack on the city.

2. Pray for the President of the United States and the Cabinet.

3. Pray for our soldiers and their families.

4. Pray for your airports, especially the nearest hub to you.

5. Water conduits. The Lord alerted me this morning to this.

6. Bind the enemy from your street. Actually go down to the end of your street or your apartment entrance or whatever, and anoint it with oil and declare the enemy forbidden to enter in. Bind disease from coming in your mail. Declare that the germs will actually be killed if they enter your street.

7. Pray for the largest bank in your area. Pray for the banking system.

8. Pray for the protection of bridges.

9. Pray for the four largest populated areas in your state.

10. Pray for any ship channel that is in your region.

Have a watchful eye! Be polished! Be sharp! Be bold!
