CORRECTION OF FLORIDA COUNTIES, AND JIM GOLL INPUT ON REPENTANCE THAT HAS HAPPENED IN FLORIDA!
Steve Shultz
Nov 25, 2000
I published a Word last night about the four counties of Florida a the sin
of turning back 1939 Jewish refugees.
This morning, as I woke, the LORD had inserted a song on my mind that led
me to believe I was about to have to go humble myself about something.
The song was from the old Candid Camera show. The words,
" . . .It's fun to laugh at yourself. It's the tonic, tried and
true."
"uh oh!" I said to myself. What am I about to have to laugh at
myself--for?
I logged onto my email to discover that the four counties that were in the
article I posted last night (written by Reuven Doron--who lives in
Israel)--were not all accurate. Some were counties. Some said to be counties
are actually cities. We've put the complete correction at the bottom of this
page.
I must take full responsibility for publishing something that was not
completely accurate. Fortunately, I take comfort in that God seems to be
telling me it's ok to just "laugh at yourself" about it--even though
the subject is, of course-- very serious indeed!
I do always try to get the facts right on what I post, and this time I
missed it. Again, my apologies to the ELIJAH LIST for missing that information
on the Florida counties
THE REAL STORY IS STILL THE REAL STORY
The fact is, the State of Florida (perhaps under the guidance of the
Federal Government) in 1939, turned away a boat called, "The St.
Louis" with nearly 1000 Jewish refugees. The State of Florida, or the
Federal Government refused to allow these Jewish people to land in
Florida---to have asylum in the United States. Instead, along with Canada's
refusal (for which they have just publicly repented), these Jewish people were
sent back to Nazi Europe where most of them died in concentration camps.
That's the truth!
The good news is that, as Jim Goll wrote to me this morning, much
repentance IS going on, even as we speak, TO A VERY SIGNIFICANT DEGREE---both
for that situation, and others, including the Seminole Massacre.
Here is what Jim Goll wrote on this issue this morning (My thanks to Jim
for bringing more clarity here):

JIM GOLL ADDRESSES THE FLORIDA REPENTANCE ISSUE
November 25, 2000
"Steve,
While the report is true about the St. Louis ship being turned away - there
was also one of the greatest Seminole Indian Massacres that occurred in Palm
Beach County.
But - it must be noted, that much intercession continues in that area. The
SWN sent out teams to pray in all 67 counties before the elections. People
have been going and standing with Jonathan Benz [Jonathan Benz, Emissary
International Covenant Centre International 10415 Riverside Drive, Palm Beach
Gardens, Florida 33410] and Esther Linck in their prayer ministries there.
Dutch Sheets was there recently and my wife and I were just in Broward
County.
So while the picture can be painted on the negative side - I want to say
that there continues to be more intercession for our nation than maybe any
time in recent history.
I have many thoughts on the whole process - but I just wanted to know that
on-site locational repentance has been occurring."

CORRECTED FACTS ON FLORIDA COUNTIES
Here are some actual facts on the COUNTY information that corrects that
information in the post last night. My thanks to Randal Cutter for bringing me
the correct names of the cities and counties.
FROM RANDAL CUTTER, NEW DAWN CHURCH: November 25, 2000
"Hi Steve,
I live in Broward County just outside of the city of Fort Lauderdale.
I have friends who live in Palm Beach County, just outside of the city of
West Palm Beach.
Your last posting stated that West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale were
counties. They are not. They are cities.
Fort Lauderdale is a city in Broward County. Palm Beach, Broward County,
and Miami-Dade counties are the counties in question. Dade County no longer
exists. It is now called Miami-Dade County.
Obviously, our less than stellar geographical whiz's in today's media have
helped to confuse this matter for those outside of Florida. I just wanted to
clear up the confusion geographically since it seems we are unable to do so
Presidentially.
For Geographical Precision and the Glory of God,"
