Never before in my life have I had such a fighting spirit! I want you to have it too, and I'm pretty sure many of you do. What a year for the Lord to show Himself strong amidst our own weaknesses!
For several months, God has been CLEARLY showing me that He's now beginning to send HIS angels to stir the POOL OF BETHESDA.
"Bethesda" means HOUSE OF GRACE by the way, and this is a picture of the HEALING GRACE that God so desperately longs to pour out. He does have one requirement though.
He MUST have our prayers!
I'm one of those people who has often been conflicted by this and ask, "Why would God need my/our prayers? Isn't He Sovereign?"
But lately, I've quit asking that question and started accepting the truth that when we signed up, we signed up for the ARMY of GOD--not an army against people, but against the devil's schemes.
Our annual conference here in Albany, Oregon, starts Thursday and is already sold out to 1,000 folks. BUT WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS! All kinds of prayers. Prayers for health, safety, traveling mercies, finances, energy--the "whole ball of wax" as they say.
I think I've reached a point of NOW asking, "When will we all come to such a place of unity that we actually believe what our God has told us--when will we believe in both our heads and in our hearts that we are FAMILY?" If we are THE BODY, how can a body be anything but part of itself?
Our love and gratitude for you all has no bounds. So many have written, telling us that you appreciate the ElijahList. You send us words of encouragement and you tell us that you are praying.
ON THIS VERY DAY, we need you now, through Sunday to pray nonstop for this conference. It ends on Saturday, but people will be traveling back home. Here is what I can promise you. Those who, in the Bible, couldn't go to war with David, but stayed back at the camp and watched over those who did go (I guarantee they were praying to God while their fellow soldiers went to battle, even though they couldn't go), they still got to share "equally" in the rewards, the booty--the spoils of war--that were taken when the enemy was defeated by David's army.
This translates to YOUR PRAYERS at this HOUR for this conference about: "What is God Saying for 2008?" Which is with Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets, Stacey Campbell, Denny Cline and me (Steve Shultz). Without YOUR PRAYERS, we will receive less from the Lord than He would like to pour out. We are told to always pray and NEVER GIVE UP!
We covet your prayers. We need your prayers. You will even receive from Heaven a great reward for your prayers. I feel a real intensity to tell you this.
In the "old days," when we had a pivotal ElijahList conference, we'd let you ALL know what we were doing and call for prayer. Those were very powerful conferences indeed. But the Lord just reminded me that we will need to get back to that several times a year--starting with THIS annual ElijahList conference. We'll let you know about the CDs when they are done, but know this: as the POOL OF BETHESDA begins to be stirred at this conference and you are praying for it, healing will break out, and this will probably happen in many of your own households! ALL TYPES OF HEALINGS. ALL TYPES!
Beyond that, we intend to let you know what the Lord is saying for 2008--by making those CDs available for purchase or download.
The time to pray is NOW.
The reasons to pray are for Healing and Deliverance and that the Word of the Lord would come forth for 2008 FOR THE FAMILY OF GOD.
The benefits of praying are that you will share in the reward from Heaven--WHILE HELPING US AT THE SAME TIME.
