I met Leslie in Connecticut a few years ago. Shortly after that, she found out she had cancer but God has mightily worked miracles for Leslie in that regard.Maybe it was that her first name was my middle name, "Leslie."
Maybe it's just that I tend to hear God through the "bubbling up" things...sometimes I just know that I know that a connection has just been made.

On the morning of June 23, 2007, I picked up my guitar to worship the Lord, and instantly I saw a white feathered pen. I knew that He was about to download something from the Holy Spirit to write down. He then showed me a beautiful single flower, the most amazingly beautiful thing I have ever seen. As I opened my mouth, this song came out.
If you are wondering if God will ever use you, or if you will really fulfill that vision and destiny that you felt He has called you to, then read on, and let this word minister to you. I feel He is saying that it is a glorious season for many.

He watered it daily, very gently, being mindful that it didn't wash away and become lost.
He watched over it patiently, and fed it nutrients that the tiny seedling thought smelled foul. (What a face it did make!)
He pruned it with all the love in His heart, as it grew leafy and leggy. The little plant said "Ouch!" but knew it was best to trust the Master's hand.
He stood over it as it developed through various stages and carefully cupped His strong but gentle hands around the delicate new bud, so it wouldn't be blown about by fierce winds.
When caterpillars gnawed at its tender leaves, the King watered the brave little plant with His own tears. He then hand plucked the devastating creatures away (for He is an organic farmer, and would never apply poison to His very Beloved).
He then spaded around the delicate roots, so that the breath of life could revive the young flower, and heal it's scars.
Bees and butterflies came to visit and they drank the tasty, sweet nectar and then sped off to visit other gardens with golden pollen sticking to their tiny feet.

Then, this King of Kings bent over and cut His flower low on its stem, and brought it into His big house. Bewildered, the glimmering bloom was sad to leave its garden home.
But then, He placed it in a beautiful vase, a costly crystal vase, which merely enhanced the flower's vibrancy, and caused its beauty to be reflected like the sun did. The glass was so pure, that in it even the long, graceful stem was displayed. No part of the flower was unseen.
Then the great King set it on a large table, which had been prepared for many guests. It sat there, in the center of the table, and slowly came to a startling realization. The King had given this single bloom the honor of being the centerpiece of His table, so that everyone could marvel at the handiwork of the King.
Deeply grateful, the beautiful flower gazed lovingly at this King of Love, and a tear formed on a petal in the shape of a dewdrop. Then it drew a breath and deeply sighed, releasing a sweet fragrance, the fragrance of the Lord which filled the whole house of God.
This flower is you.
