We all understand or we must COME to understand that God did not cause this awful tragedy at VirginiaTech. He, the Lord is weeping with those who weep.

Sometimes, since God sees all eternity from Heaven, past, present, and future---He is known to time the "good" HE will do--at the same time the devil does that which is beyond "evil." Again, God is weeping! And so are we all!

God is taking advantage at this time which Satan meant for evil--to bring good on the earth, even as HE weeps with the deep and horrific losses families have just suffered in Virginia.

May we, as the CHURCH, rise up and support with all that is within us---those who suffer in Virginia, be they parents or students, relatives, saved, or unsaved.

May God bless Virginia, and may God bless the United States of America at this 400th Anniversary month of the landing at Jamestown, Virginia Beach, VA.

Prayer for Virginia

Virginia is a state that has come to international attention at this time. All of us are troubled by the tragic killings at the VirginiaTech campus in Blacksburg on Monday. Travis Thigpen, our USGAPN State Apostolic Coordinator for Virginia, lists below a number of prayer requests for you to share with your networks and urgently pray into.

When the tragedy this week happened, it made me think of how the enemy uses time and cycles to keep trauma in place. I am working this week to finish the book, God's Unfolding Battle Plan. Many of you will remember I wrote a chapter on lawlessness in the book, The Future War of the Church before the events at Columbine occurred.

We must remember that we are not just battling with a stronghold of a religious spirit worldwide, but an anti-Christ force that longs to discourage us and wear down our minds. In this situation, please pray that the atmosphere and land of Virginia will begin to awaken to the power and presence of God.

Then on April 26-29, 2007, the eyes of the world will be on Virginia Beach for the large Assembly 2007 gathering to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of America. April 29, 1607, was the actual date when the Christian colonists who formed Jamestown landed in Virginia Beach and planted "a cross" to dedicate the new world to God, creating a covenant that has blessed all Americans and birthed a nation founded on the Word of God.

A "Consecration Conference" will take place on April 26-28, and then on Sunday, April 29, the Assembly will culminate with a large gathering on the oceanfront to renew covenant with God by rededicating this land to Jesus Christ. Virginia Report and Prayer Alert:

Virginia is definitely a focus in the US right now for many reasons, such as the Assembly 2007 gathering and the arrival of Queen Elizabeth in a month or so. Recently, there has been a shift for Teen Mania's Ministry "BattleCry." 20,000 youth are coming from Baltimore to Manassas for the BattleCry Event, which takes place in Virginia on May 11-12 (visit: www.battlecry.com for more information). They had great warfare and great breakthrough in San Francisco last month. So there are many things happening here at this time. I believe that God may very well use this youth meeting to spark revival. You may remember the "nutcracker prophecy" a few years ago that said that, "Baltimore was on one end of the handle and Hampton, VA was on the other end with D.C. in the middle."

I wonder if, in this season, God has adjusted the nutcracker so that the handle is, for a season, in Manassas and Virginia Beach with Blacksburg (where VirginiaTech is located) being the focal point to break open revival in America!

Here are some specific prayer requests:

1. Pray that hearts will be open to consider each person's mortality so as to be open to the Gospel.

2. That God will use this as a catalyst for revival in that campus and around the world.

3. The President as well as the Governor of Virginia were two individuals who spoke at the convocation in Blacksburg recently. Pray for each of them--and pray that all participants will come to know the ONE TRUE GOD--THE FATHER and His Son Jesus, The Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.

4. Pray for hearts to be protected and set free from fear, anger, and trauma, just like after 9/11.

5. Pray for protection for the youth attending the Battlecry gathering, so they will not be afraid after VirginiaTech, and that they will, indeed, be protected.

6. Pray that this massacre will not plant seeds of greater evil in the hearts of deceived people to match or copycat this event, as happens so often.

7. Our intercessors across the nation will be able to reconnect with their focus and assignment, just as the students, faculty, and parents did at the end of the convocation with "Go Hokies, Go! Go Hokies, Go!"

Let us rise to our task and not allow events in this world to distract, discourage, or halt us from our advancing the Kingdom! May we say, Go GOD!
