Will Ford: "Let's Ask God For The Rock!"

 Much
is being said regarding the basketball-sized piece of marble that fell at the
Supreme Court. The Lord has given me insight that I feel He wants me to share
related to this strange court happening, which I believe is related to our
prayer assignment for the Supreme Court and the judicial system. I believe this
was a very important day that marked a shift. The Lord began to speak to me
about the Supreme Court in dreams this year, one of which is related to current
circumstances.
THE HIGHEST COURT IN THE LAND
The dream came to me after feeling defeated
about the Supreme Court's decision not to hear Roe v. Wade on February 22, 2005.
This decision was by no means a final blow to the ending of abortion. Other
cases are coming before the court, and this fight will not end over night.
Nonetheless, that night I felt crushed and cried myself to sleep. But God
brought encouragement to me through a "basketball court" dream.
I dreamed that I was playing basketball against the
Supreme Court Justices, and babies and toddlers were my teammates. The Justices,
in their black robes, were scoring repeatedly and wearing us out. I even felt
weak and lethargic in the dream. Suddenly, I remembered who I was and that I
played college basketball. I began to exert myself on the court.
One Justice, David Souter, tried to shoot a
jump shot on the left side of the court, and I blocked his shot. Then, Sandra
Day O'Conner got the ball, and as she was dribbling, I stole the ball from her,
went to the other end of the court, and made a lay-up. The momentum began to
shift in the game, and then the dream ended.
When I awoke, the Lord told me that the basketball court represented the highest
court in the land, the Supreme Court, and the judicial system of America. He
told me that it may not seem like it, but we are gaining strength in our fight.
We must remember who we are and the power we have in fervent, effectual prayer.
He said we must stay in the court battle in order for abortion to end in
America. The Lord was saying to me, "The momentum is shifting, and they don't
have the last shot!"
SHIFTING THE ATMOSPHERE OVER THE SUPREME COURT
Needless to say, I was encouraged and
prayed over this dream for months. Unexpectedly (months later), Sandra Day
O'Conner surprised everyone and decided to step down. I remembered dreaming
about her and the other Justices and their positions on the left side of the
court in the dream. While in prayer, the Lord said to me, "I'm taking the ball
out of her hands, and if the Church will pray, I will raise up a Justice who
will block the shots of those on the left side of the court."
This basketball court theme has been picked
up through recent events. On Fox news, I happened to read a story about the
"Basketball-sized piece of marble that fell" (the reporters words, not mine). I
remembered that in basketball, one of the nicknames for the ball is "the rock."
I couldn't help thinking about the
consistent siege of prayers that is shifting the atmosphere over the Supreme
Court and about all of the basketball court dreams that Lou Engle, others, and I
have had related to the Supreme Court. I thought I was making too much of it
until I received a call from Jay Comiskey from CBN, who reminded me of my dream
and felt the story was related to our prayers.
Another confirmation for me was that the
day this happened, Lou Engle and the Justice House of Prayer in Washington,
D.C., who've been praying for the ending of abortion onsite at the Supreme Court
for more than a year, were being interviewed by ABC Nightline. One intercessor
told me that as they walked up to pray at the court yesterday, the
Basketball-size piece of marble fell down! The news crew stayed with them in the
House of Prayer and at the Supreme Court for several hours. You can watch the

THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION
IS TAKING HIS PLACE IN OUR COURTS
I believe this whole thing is prophetic--falling from the façade (new face lift
and the masks coming off the court by shaking), rupturing over the figure of
Authority and Blind Lady Justice (whose name is Themus, with the scales of
justice in her lap--representing authority figures coming down and God rocking
the false ideologies that are influencing perverted justice), and breaking into
40 pieces (generational breakthrough).
At crucial times in a basketball game, key players take ownership of the
opportunity at hand. In those moments, they don't say, "Pass the basketball,
please?" No, they demand the ball and say, "Give me the rock!" I believe this is
our cry, but we are calling for God. The Rock of our salvation, the rejected
stone, is taking His place in our courts. Isaiah 33:22, which this
nation's government was founded on, says, "The Lord
is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us."
He is calling our nation to look to Christ,
the Rock, from whom this nation was hewn. In humility, we must fall on the Rock
and be broken over our condition, or the Rock will fall on us, in crushing
humiliation. Because of all of the prayers in the court battle for the next
generation and our united cry of "Give us the Rock," God, the Rock, will answer
with Himself.
LET'S ASK GOD FOR THE ROCK
I believe now is the time for another
full-court press on the judicial system. We must provoke people to pray like
never before for justice for the unborn! Listen: they don't have the last shot,
but the praying church does! I love what another trusted prophetic brother says
about this: "The old is falling down before His Authority as we 'strike the
scales of justice' in prayer." Perhaps this is a small token and sign of what is
transpiring in the spirit realm. The authority of Christ Jesus is rising over
the Supreme Court. Everything will crash and fall in His presence!
Could this also be a warning to those who would attempt to stop the Lord's
counsel and plans for the Supreme Court? I don't know, but it's time to humble
ourselves and appeal to the court of Heaven, which is above every court.
I believe that the momentum is shifting.
It's time to strike the scales of justice again in prayer. This stone broke into
40 pieces, which could also represent the ending of a wilderness period in the
courts, according to Chuck Pierce. On November 30th (which happened to be my
40th birthday), there were two court cases related to abortion that went before
the Supreme Court which were very key. It's the first time in about five years
that the courts have heard cases related to abortion.
Starting tomorrow and the next 40 days, let's focus our prayers on the Supreme
Court and pray for the cases tomorrow. Let's also pray for the confirmation of a
justice who will block the shots of the left side of the court. Let's take it
out of their hands through prayer and put it in the hands of the Lord.
Let's ask God for the Rock!
