Recently, I had one of the most powerful and poignant experiences during my prayer time for Israel, which gave me fresh and much needed revelation on how to pray for Israel and the vital spiritual significance of praying for God's chosen nation and people.
As the Holy Spirit led me in prayer, He took me specifically to Psalm 122 and then to Isaiah 62.
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.'" (Psalm 122:6–7 NKJV)
"For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns." (Isaiah 62:1 NKJV)
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." (Isaiah 62:6–7 NKJV)
I began to intercede for the nation of Israel, and as I began to cry out for the peace of Jerusalem—for righteousness, truth, and justice over the nation of Israel—I was suddenly taken into a powerful encounter where I saw the right hand of God come down, and He began to show me my own generational line. I saw what looked like a DNA helix, and I saw the intrinsic, spiritual, and covenantal connection that I have to the seed of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.
"Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all." (Romans 4:16 NKJV)
Restoration of My Generational Line
What I saw was not only profound, but much of what I saw I simply cannot explain in words. However, as I pressed into the encounter, I saw the right hand of God beginning to bring forth deep healing, deliverance, and divine restoration to my own generational line. A divine work of God began to unfold before me. I saw a gold thread that reached back even before the foundations of the earth—a gold thread that connected me to the Ancient of Days and to the seed of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob (Israel).
Now, as I continued praying for the nation of Israel, I began to see the Spirit of the Lord, the Ruach of God, moving powerfully and with surgical precision upon my own generational line. Then I saw what looked like strands within that DNA helix begin to light up. Threads that had once been void of light—that were fractured, broken and burdened—were now suddenly being infused and reignited with radiant light.
What looked to be twisted and even deformed by generations of brokenness, silence, and many things left unresolved and forgotten were suddenly receiving new life and the light of His glory. I saw the healing and restorative hand of God touching every strand, not one thread left untouched. I watched as what was distorted began to straighten and come into perfect and divine alignment. I could see places in my generational line that looked like they were bound tight, confined, and restricted. But as I continued to pray, those spiritual blockages and constrictions began to loosen, and a greater unraveling took place. (Photo via Pixabay)
Though we know God is outside of time, it was as if the Spirit of God was moving through time itself, time that spoke of ancient times, right up to the very present moment. The Spirit of the Lord was not just touching me in the present, but He was addressing and beginning to bring forth divine reversals and restoration to what had flowed down into me and through me and into my own children from my ancestral line.
I understood by the Spirit of Revelation that God was not just showing me time within my own generational history, but He was now uprooting and tearing down. He was realigning, rebuilding, and establishing a new thing. He was redeeming the times and seasons of every area of my life. What had tried to define my life through generational curses were being supernaturally reversed and fully restored.
"I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:3 NKJV)
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Psalm 103:2–5 NKJV)
As I watched and prayed in the encounter, and as I stayed in Psalms 122 and Isaiah 62, crying out for the peace of Jerusalem to be established in truth and righteousness, I saw that same divine establishment happening inwardly. Divine order replacing disorder. Truth driving out every form of distortion. The radiant light of the seven Spirits of God exposing what had been hidden within my generational line that I was not even aware of. I saw that as I prayed in the Spirit, I was being divinely realigned with God's heart for Israel, with His covenant purposes, His righteousness, and His restoration.
God Is the Source: Oneness and Covenant Alignment
I was also coming into deeper covenant alignment myself, not because Israel is the source, but because God is the source, and because I was praying in agreement with Him, His will, and His word. A deep cleansing and purification was taking place generationally. This was not simply a surface-level type of restoration or peace, but it was deeply spiritual—a structural healing at a deep cellular level in body, soul, and spirit. Destructive cycles and generational curses that had repeated again and again through generations in patterns, mindsets, and ungodly yokes and counterfeit weights were losing all their authority and power. Every legal stranglehold that had come through wrong generational attachments and connections was being broken off!
Then the Spirit of Revelation spoke to me, saying, "Watch! For what is established in covenant alignment with My Word cannot remain bound to what is outside of it!" (Photo via Pexels)
I saw clearly and with greater revelation that my true identity is not confined to what came through natural descent, but rather completely reformed and redefined through covenant alignment with Christ. Yet God in His mercy was reaching into places that had shaped my life through people and places throughout my generational history, and He was bringing them under His divine order and authority.
As I continued to pray for Israel—for peace, salvation, and righteousness—I realized by revelation I was not just interceding outwardly. But as I prayed, I was being divinely aligned inwardly. And we know that when we pray according to His Word, we step into what He is already doing and has already done and fully accomplished, and not just in the macro sense of nations, but in the micro sense—in us as individuals!
"But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)
"Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard." (Isaiah 58:6–8 NKJV)
What He Reveals, He Heals
I often say, "God always reveals what He intends to heal and refine. And what He touches, He intends to fully restore and redeem."
What I understood in a greater way from this powerful encounter is that when we war and contend for what God desires, we strategically and spiritually position and align ourselves within what He is uprooting, tearing down, building, and establishing in the realm of the spirit, which deeply and profoundly impacts and influences what manifests in the natural realm. There is bountiful fruit, great reward, and inheritance flowing back into our lives: healing, restoration, and great blessings through covenant alignment.
As I prayed for the peace of Jerusalem to be established, I felt the Spirit of the Lord deeply establishing, strengthening, and reviving the deeper things within me—deep calling to deep! As I prayed for truth to prevail there, I felt the tangible presence of the Spirit of Truth settling and establishing within me greater wisdom, illumination, revelation, and higher levels of discernment.
As I prayed, warred, and contended for restoration and preservation for Israel and the city of Jerusalem, I recognized the restorative and redemptive hand of God working and moving in the deep, secret, and hidden places in my own generational line and linage that I hadn't even seen or recognized before!
