Merry Christmas to our ElijahStreams Family,
Do you remember the story of the twin boys in Uganda who almost died?
Tiny, fragile, and fading fast, Kato and Waswa's cries were growing weaker by the day. I'll never forget hearing their story. It broke my heart.
Their seventeen-year-old teen mother, Sandra,
had no options.
She'd scoop muddy water from a shallow pit, stir in a few crushed tea leaves, and whisper prayers that it would somehow be enough.
One of the boys was so sick that every breath sounded like goodbye.
But then you, our ElijahStreams family, stepped in. Through your giving, a
fresh water well was drilled near their home.
That water opened the door for God to move. Isn't that incredible? One simple act of generosity opened the floodgates for a miracle.
Because of your giving, Sandra and her twins were able to get the medical care they so desperately needed at the very hospital your generosity helped make possible.
Little by little, those frail babies began to recover.
And today, over a year later, we're seeing the miracle unfold before our eyes!
The same little bodies once limp in their mother's
arms are now chasing chickens in the red dirt,
laughing, barefoot, alive.
Every time I think of it, I just shake my head and say,
"God, You're amazing."
Sandra's gone back to school, and her mother helps care for the boys. Their tiny home, once filled with fear, is now filled with joy.
And as we look at their faces, we realize...38 years ago,
when God whispered 'Well Ministries and Little Orphan Children,' He already saw them. He saw these twins. He saw their mother. He saw you.
He saw a people...an ElijahStreams family...who would one day partner with Heaven to bring life to the forgotten, hope to the hopeless, and water to the thirsty. Isn't that just like God?
He was writing this story long before any of us could imagine it.
They are living proof that God's breathing on what we're doing together.
Every well, every prayer, every dollar...it's all part of His plan that started long before any of us could see it.
And this Christmas season, we can't help but thank God for you. Because of you, Kato and Waswa are alive. Because of you, Sandra has hope.
He loves these little ones even more than we can imagine. And somehow, He lets us be part of His miracle. That amazes us every single time.
When I think of those boys running and laughing now, I just say, "God, You did it again." You took what looked hopeless and You turned it into joy.
But you know what? There are more children out there just like them, waiting for their miracle moment. The need is still great, and together, we can reach even more of these precious children.
What an honor that we get to do this with God. We get to help more little orphan children find life and hope again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for
giving, for caring, and for saying yes to what's on God's heart.
