Dear ElijahStreams Family,
First off, Derene and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. My team shares the countless emails, texts, and letters you send us, and let me tell you—your words encourage us more than you know. God uses them to refresh and restore us. We are humbled by your trust in us and thank God for you every single day.
Mike and Lori Salley just returned from Uganda, and oh man—what they shared with me absolutely wrecked me.
The testimonies of what
YOU have made happen through these
water wells are nothing short of miraculous. (By the way, do you realize you've now funded over
400 wells?! That's 400 villages transformed. 400 communities encountering Jesus.)
But this one story... this one really hit home. It's about a woman named Helen.
And if you need healing today, I want you to read this story and
claim it as your own.
I personally know what it's like to battle sickness. To feel weak, nauseous, and forgotten. To wonder if God sees you. If He hears your prayers. If healing will ever come. (I've shared my story on the air several times.)
Helen knew those feelings too.
For a long time, she suffered from
stomach cancer. The pain was unbearable. Her stomach was visibly swollen. Every sip of water—dirty, contaminated water—felt like fire in her gut. She barely ate, terrified of what it would do to her body.
She wrapped fabric tight around her stomach just to try to make the pain bearable. And worst of all?
She felt forgotten. But God had never forgotten her.
When the well drilling started in Helen's village, everyone took notice. Clean water was coming.
But God was doing something much deeper.
The morning before the well dedication, the Show Mercy team arrived. They went door to door, telling people about a Father who saw them—a Father who loved them.
They invited Helen to receive Jesus.
She said no. She wasn't ready. Still, our team prayed for her healing. They believed for a miracle.
Then, later that day at the well dedication, something happened that
Helen never expected.
Her friend,
Generous, a woman everyone knew as a
prostitute and bar owner, stepped forward. She grabbed her two daughters by the hands and
gave her life to Jesus.
No hesitation. No shame. Just surrender. Helen stood there, stunned. She had known Generous for years. She had seen the darkness in her life. The struggle. The shame.
And now... Now, she saw
joy. She saw peace where there had only been pain. She saw light where there had only been darkness.
And something shifted inside her. After watching
Generous' life transform, after seeing the weight lift from her shoulders, after seeing real hope for the first time...
Helen finally said yes to Jesus. Her heart was healed. But her body? Her body was still broken. She still felt the sickness. The pain. The weakness.
But then, something happened.
As she began to drink the
clean, fresh water from the new well— something changed. Little by little, the pain began to ease. First, the burning stopped. Then, she could eat without fear. The swelling in her stomach
began to go down. Until one day...
She realized it was completely gone. No more pain. No more sickness. She went to the doctor and he confirmed the cancer was gone!
Jesus healed her. And her entire village stood in awe. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He did it for Helen, if He did it for me, He will do it for you.
Take this testimony and claim it as your own.
Because healing is coming.
And YOU, our ElijahStreams family, were part of this miracle. Because you gave, Helen's life will never be the same.
Because you said yes, this well didn't just bring clean water—it brought Living Water. And we're just getting started.
Right now, we are funding 30 wells every single month—but there are still more villages waiting. More Helens still suffering. More people longing for hope.
Imagine this... God doesn't need us to accomplish His plans.
But He invites us anyway. He lets us
participate in His remarkable, Kingdom work.
And not only that—
He rewards us for it. We have the
most generous, extravagant Father who delights in our obedience. This is our moment to say yes again.
I pray that one day in eternity, you'll see the faces of those whose lives were forever changed because of your generosity. I pray you'll hear their voices saying,
"Thank you. You gave, and because of you, I met Jesus."
As you consider what you might
sow into ElijahStreams, we just want to say, "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
