An Anointing to Take Down Giants
At a recent conference in Duluth, Minnesota, a young woman came up to me and said she had a dream about me. I was curious and asked her when she'd had the dream. She said, "The morning of July 3." That immediately caught my attention, because my birthday is July 3. I knew God was saying this dream was significant to me.
In her dream, she saw herself in a laundry room. She saw a beautiful, majestic hornet flying around. Then she saw herself viewing someone from an eagle's eye view. This was someone who represented bondage and addiction, and they were surrounded by bull dogs.
In the dream, she was on her way to see me preach in Chicago. She knew I contained an anointing to help deliver people who were in bondage and addiction.
Upon driving to see me, she crossed a bridge with fireworks and knew people would get hurt. Upon reaching the bridge, she saw seven twenty-foot giants. They were a gang of giants. She went to the second floor of the mall to confront the giants. The security guard opened the door, and she went in to face them!
End of dream.
Interpretation of the Dream:
This woman's dream began in a laundry room, which can represent the "launderer's soap" in Malachi 3:1–5 (BSB):
"'Behold, I will send My messenger, who will prepare the way before Me. Then the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple—the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight—see, He is coming,' says the LORD of Hosts.
"But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? FOR HE WILL BE LIKE A REFINER'S FIRE, LIKE A LAUNDERER'S SOAP.
"And He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the LORD in righteousness.
"Then the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will please the LORD, as in days of old and years gone by.
"'Then I will draw near to you for judgment. And I will be a swift witness against sorcerers and adulterers and perjurers, against oppressors of the widowed and fatherless, and against those who defraud laborers of their wages and deny justice to the foreigner but do not fear Me,' says the LORD of Hosts." (emphasis mine)
God sends out "the hornet ahead of you" to drive out giants. Joshua 24:11–13 (BSB):
"After this, you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The people of Jericho fought against you, as did the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I delivered them into your hand. I sent the hornet ahead of you, and it drove out the two Amorite kings before you, but not by your own sword or bow. So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities that you did not build, and now you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant."
Therefore, the hornets (the power of God) meet us in the laundry room (the place of cleansing/consecration).
I remembered another dream someone had of me in 2008. In the dream, they came to me while I was in the bathroom (representing the place of cleansing/deliverance). They asked me what my job was. I said, "I sell soap." I knew then that this dream was a prophetic nod about me giving the "soap," or "cleansing fire," needed to prepare us (the church) for the greater glory!
Catch the Little Foxes
Dream received March 17, 2025:
In a recent dream, I walked into a storage room of sorts. I was going in to rest. I put my wallet and keys up on a shelf and then noticed a little fox running on the floor of the room between boxes, etc.
A thought came to mind: "I should probably secure my keys and wallet a bit better in case this fox gets ahold of them."
But then seeing this little fox again, I made an internal judgment call and thought, "This is too small of a fox to mess with my keys and wallet, and it's unlikely it can even reach the shelf I placed them on." (Photo via Pexels)
So, I didn't give it any more consideration and went in, let my guard down, and began to relax.
In the very next moment of the dream, I saw the fox somehow stretching from a box in the room all the way to the shelf where my wallet and keys were. I didn't think the fox had the strength, agility, or even interest in my possessions, but to my surprise, it did!
Immediately, I stood up and ran to scare the fox away, but before I got to it, it had taken my keys and swallowed them! I knew I had to act quickly in this matter, because I would need those keys for my vehicle, my home, and other belongings before they were finally digested out of the fox. And to make matters worse, I would have to find them among a pile of poo.
So, in the dream, I caught the fox, rammed my hand down its throat, and grabbed the keys out before they made it to its stomach. At that moment, I realized this little fox was not to be underestimated! A repentance (changing of mind) came to me about my passivity towards the little fox.
End of dream.
I believe this dream is a personal reminder, and yet has broader application to the body of Christ from the Holy Spirit, that it's not the giants who often pose the most threat in our lives but the little foxes!
As I have watched so many of these exposures happening among leaders within the body of Christ, I've become convinced that the little foxes that were allowed to remain spoiled their vineyards! There is such a subtle yet powerful deception about viewing the little things as being inconsequential, and therefore they are minimized or ignored altogether as a result.
I don't believe any one of us is better than the other! No matter who we are, the little foxes that we don't catch will eventually become the destroyers of our fruitfulness! Any of us who think we are standing firm should take heed lest we fall (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Oh, and let me say, you can't afford to wait until the fox is done digesting what belongs to you. If you're passive in taking back what the little fox takes, you will have to wait until it can only be found in a pile of dung—a disgusting mess!
This is a word of exhortation for all of us in the body of Christ to heed the "voice" of the Bridegroom and "Catch for us the foxes—the little foxes that ruin the vineyards—for our vineyards are in bloom" (Song of Solomon 2:15 BSB).
Some of you need to take inventory of your "storage room." Catch those little foxes and take your keys back; take your wallet/identification back; take your self-governance back!
"But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged." (1 Corinthians 11:31 NASB)
Cleaning the "Dung" from the Prophetic
Date stamp around 2008:
Years ago, I received a word through the audible voice of the Lord about prophetic ministry: "You can move with the dunghill, or you can stay with lamentations."
There is a "prophetic" voice coming out of the church that has a lot of movement, but God calls it a dunghill. I knew immediately that the "lamentations" which God was referring to was Lamentations 2:14.
"The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not EXPOSE your sin to ward off your captivity..." (Lamentations 2:14 NIV, emphasis mine)
I understood that God was grieved about the lack of sin exposure in prophetic ministry, because it was resulting in continual and increasing captivity. (Photo via Rawpixel)
As we can see from this Scripture, God's heart in exposing sin is to deliver us from captivity, not to shame us! In this time, we must invite God's loving light to shine on areas of sin so that we can come out of participation with it, or we will remain in a state of captivity during a time of acceleration. Remember that God exposes sin to remind us of what no longer belongs in us. He is for us!
Loss of Purity and Life in the Prophetic
Dream received December 27, 2004:
In my dream, I was at a smaller conference gathering, and I was there with Leonard Ravenhill. He and I were tag-teaming doing ministry.
Someone asked me how I knew Leonard, and I said that we had traveled together several times. Next, in the dream, I looked at Leonard's pointer finger and saw that it had a small cut on it. I saw very seductive vampires attracted to the blood, and they began to feed on and draw out the blood from his finger.
As I observed this happening, I looked at him more closely, and his face suddenly seemed to change into someone I didn't recognize. I knew when I looked at him that he was involved with horrific immoralities, even the "illegal kind."
I don't believe this dream was literally about Leonard Ravenhill. I believe it was symbolic. Leonard Ravenhill, in the dream, represents (in my opinion) the call to prophetic purity, holiness, and prayer that produces revival. Me seeing his pointer finger cut is symbolic of seeing the prophetic voice of the church wounded and breached, losing the blood (life) that it's meant to carry. The loss of purity and life in the prophetic has attracted the "vampiric" spirits of wickedness to engage and draw out the prophetic into immorality.
The "illegal kind" immorality that I saw (when I looked in Leonard's face), I believe, is both literal and symbolic. It's illegal for us as saints to function as leaders and ministers while mixing with immorality.
Then there are those who are actually engaging in the types of immorality that are an abomination, even among the ungodly.
The other thing to note about the pointer finger, or the "pointing of the finger," is how many of us who say "don't do this or that" are actually doing it ourselves. Is our prophetic pure in its desire to be just and to love mercy?
Jezebel's Hour Is Over in the Church!
Dream received March 28, 2025:
I woke myself up from a dream, prophesying intensely to individuals in the body of Christ who were parroting the narratives and agendas (even unknowingly) of the spirit of Jezebel.
Without the discerning of spirits in operation, I believe I likely wouldn't have recognized "her" voice in these people. They certainly didn't recognize it and were even sincere about what they were speaking. However, I recognized something. These individuals were pushing an "agenda of reconciliation," a word with great biblical merit. Yet I discerned that the kind of reconciliation they were advocating for was one-sided, had no regard for needed boundaries, and violated my own conscience.
At that point, I pushed back against this agenda of supposed "reconciliation" with a loving explanation that reconciliation is good only when certain conditions are met, and that to violate those conditions would be harmful, damaging, and greatly defile my own conscience. And that's when I saw Jezebel enter their eyes! I saw something violent, aggressive, and unyielding, and I knew this was no longer a logical discussion; it was spiritual warfare, and I must not yield to it!
I lifted up my voice and began to speak: "I tell you, by the word of the Lord, that Jezebel's hour is over in the church! Many of you have become eunuchs in her tower, no longer able to impart life on your own but made to parrot what she feeds you." (Photo via Unsplash)
I then roared, "Mark my words, you will see her fall, and when you do, you will come out of her witchcraft. Though you resist me now and can't see, you will see! You will see and know the truth that you have been manipulated, enslaved, and controlled!"
I then said, "You will return from her tower and report to me that the word I have spoken is true."
Jezebel is a spirit that seeks to rule. She rules or seeks to kill those who won't yield. We must come clean from our tolerations of her witchcraft and immoralities.
These are some of Jezebel's narratives:
• Don't expose the sins and abuses of leaders and the church; it's too harmful for everyone.
• Don't trouble the leaders by holding them accountable.
• We can't afford to bring judgment upon ministries whose gifts and impact have been so great.
• Keep things going as they always have; keep the peace.
• Allow for men and women who have committed horrific abuses and immoralities to retain or easily regain positions of influence.
• Continue to uphold a clergy/laity divide in the priesthood.
• Don't ask the hard questions, and don't rock the boat.
• Accuse the world of the very things you tolerate!
Below are a few thoughts about the church that has married itself to the toleration of Jezebel. (I will call it the "Religious Christian Enterprise.")
The "Unsinkable Titanic," "Religious Christian Enterprise" has run into God! He is now reminding the "handlers" of his house that he is the Captain and the Head! He is not making an apology for sinking what he didn't build or commission! Man's vanity built a vessel that set sail long ago in the "name of the Lord," but left the Captain on shore with the blueprints, building materials, and navigation charts. It appropriated the name of the Lord for its own use to siphon life from the souls who seek to sail with him and with their energy. This ship gained steam, growing a name for itself.
What we are now witnessing with this ship is not enemy resistance or hitting a random iceberg, but God himself has raised the "iceberg" of judgment to stop the movement of what no longer holds or reveals him!
It's a remarkable sight to watch the handlers of the Religious Christian Enterprise attempt to put things back under their control and order, knowing the ship has struck something. The thought comes to mind that we are watching some of these handlers "rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic."
The Good News!
Dream received March 25, 2025:
In my dream, I found myself speaking on repeat, "The glory of God is coming, and we haven't seen anything yet."
I believe God has appointed a time, right now, for his cleansing fire to purify us and prepare us for the justice of God against the works of the devil in the world, and the greater glory he is going to pour out!
"'Take away the stone,' Jesus said.
"'Lord, by now he stinks,' said Martha, the sister of the dead man. 'It has already been four days.'
"Jesus replied, 'Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?'" (John 11:39–40 BSB)
God is going to remove our shame and the fear of exposing our dead, rot, and filth. And as we roll the stones away in repentance, cleansing, and in faith, we will witness God's resurrection power and glory!
