When God Issues a Divine Restraining Order
"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." (Isaiah 43:25 NIV)
My dear friends, the Lord has been stirring something extraordinary in my spirit about the supernatural "blotting out" that he performs in the lives of his beloved children. This isn't just spiritual poetry or religious metaphor; it's a divine reality that can transform your life completely!
When God speaks of "blotting out," he's describing a complete removal, an absolute erasing that leaves no trace of what once was. Think of the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea. When Pharaoh's armies pursued them, intent on dragging them back to bondage, God didn't just provide a temporary solution or partial deliverance. No! He completely blotted out their enemies!
"The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea, not one of them remained." (Exodus 14:28 ESV)
I sense in my spirit that many of you are being pursued by enemies from your past—memories that torment you, emotions that overwhelm you, relationships that have wounded you, and failures that accuse you. But hear me, beloved: God is issuing a supernatural restraining order against the devil and his harassing spirits on your behalf!
The Accusers Must Drop Their Stones
Just as King Ahasuerus extended his golden scepter to Esther, granting her access and authority, God has extended his scepter of grace to you, authorizing a divine injunction against everything from your past that has tried to drag you back into bondage.
"[T]he accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God." (Revelation 12:10 NRSVUE)
Can you picture the woman caught in adultery? The accusers stood around her, stones in hand, ready to crush her under the weight of her past. But Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust. While we don't know exactly what He wrote, we see the result: one by one, the accusers dropped their stones and walked away. Jesus then spoke those beautiful words: "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more" (John 8:11 NKJV). This is your supernatural "blotting out"! This is your divine restraining order! Think of David, who cried out from the depths of his failure, "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions" (Psalm 51:1 NKJV). God answered so completely that David later became known not as "the king who failed" but as a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22). The past was indeed blotted out! He was forgiven.
Shake Off Every Poisonous Attachment
I believe the Lord is removing old emotions and suffering from many of you right now. Like the woman with the issue of blood who had "suffered many things from many physicians" (Mark 5:26 NKJV), you've tried everything to stop the bleeding of your soul. But one touch of the Master's garment accomplished what years of human effort could not—"immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up" (Mark 5:29 NKJV). Immediately! Not gradually, not partially, but entirely and instantly!
The effects of toxic relationships are being supernaturally removed from your spirit. Just as Paul shook off the viper that fastened onto his hand and "suffered no harm" (Acts 28:5 NKJV), God is enabling you to shake off every poisonous attachment that has tried to inject its venom into your destiny. What should have killed you will not even harm you!
It's Time to Make Room for the New!
Why is God blotting these things out of your life? To make room for the new! When Jesus spoke of new wine, he made it clear: "[N]o one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved" (Luke 5:37–38 NKJV). God is preparing you as a new wineskin to receive the new wine of his Spirit, the new assignments of his purpose, and the new territory of his promises!
I prophetically declare over you today that this is your season of new beginnings! New beginnings are signified biblically by the number eight. Just as the eighth day signified circumcision in the Old Testament—the cutting away of the flesh—God is cutting away everything that has hindered you. I see new promotions coming to many of you. Like Joseph, who went from prison to the palace in a single day (Genesis 41:14, 41–43), your elevation will happen so suddenly that people will ask, "How did this happen?" Like Esther, who went from orphan to queen (Esther 2:17), your new position will be a platform for divine purpose!
Hear the heart of the Father: "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:18–19 NKJV).
Beloved, a supernatural "blotting out" is taking place in your life. The restraining order has been issued from heaven's courts. The old is being removed to make way for the new. The accuser's stones have dropped from his hands. The pursuing armies have been swallowed up in the sea of God's forgetfulness. Behold, He makes all things new (Revelation 21:5)!
Hear this word of the Lord today: Old wounds are being healed, and the burdens you once carried are being lifted. As the past fades away, a new chapter of hope and promise unfolds before you. Embrace the transformation; God is preparing you for the days ahead. Trust in the process, knowing that every ending is a precursor to a glorious new beginning!
