God's Holy Fire
We are living in the hour of divine revelation. It is an anointed time when we are witnessing God's Word manifested and demonstrated in numerous ways. One powerful demonstration of God's presence and glory is His holy fire. No matter how much we attempt to run away from the fire, we really can't escape it, if we truly desire to be used for His glory.
I know, for me, there has been much "heart surgery" and cleansing performed in His presence. To embrace His cleansing fire is to embrace His presence. His glory and His holy fire are experienced often at the same time.
Once, while I was complaining about the intense cleansing I was experiencing, He pointedly said, "Sandie, if you want the glory, you also need My fire." It was clear to me then that His fire is needed to purify our hearts and motives as we mature in revelation. The fire not only cleanses and purifies, it also empowers us, just as it did in Acts 2! It's all about embracing a future that involves transformation—being changed more and more into His image.
A Fresh Pentecostal Baptism for the Church
We are living in the hour of the Church. The Church is being saturated with the presence of the Holy Spirit, just like it happened during Pentecost (read Acts 2 in its entirety)! God visited His children with His presence, bringing a holy fire, and as a result a tangible transformation began as He birthed His Church. The outpouring which occurred resulted in dreams and visions and prophetic revelation being released.
Please keep in mind that the Church itself is not limited to a building: WE ARE THE CHURCH! He lives in each of us who believe. We each house His presence. Yet at the same time, we need each other corporately, connecting to one another as the Lord leads us to connect (i.e., home groups, Bible studies, conferences, local churches, webinars, etc.).
Have you noticed (or heard testimony) that the visitation of angels is becoming more frequent? Also, there are multitudes of testimonies from many who are experiencing the manifestation of miracles. Dear saints, we are in a new era where God's glory is being poured out! (Photo via Picryl)
Each day, as we house God's glory, we can shift the atmosphere around us. That's right! On a daily basis, wherever you are, you can shift any circumstance or situation as you speak His Word. This is because each of you carry His presence wherever you go!
Just last week, as I was sitting on my bed meditating on His Word, Jesus walked into my room and sat in my chair. He looked at me and began to give me spiritual direction. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed; yet, I was able to receive.
I had been needing His direction for a mentoring class I had been involved in, and while praying through it, He showed up with the answers I needed. Yes, JESUS Himself! It was amazing! Jesus and I were talking! But it wasn't a verbal type of conversation; it was mind to mind.
This conversation seemed to last several minutes, but in the Spirit it was much longer. His presence was so powerful. I felt His fiery presence, yet it was also soothing and peaceful.
As I wept my way through it, I discovered that it was exactly what I had been needing and praying for. I am not sure if it was a vision or a type of trance. It doesn't matter. It happened, and I know that I experienced a new level of transformation. Trust me, I needed it! We all do.
Knowing Christ and the Empowerment of His Spirit
Enough about me. We are ALL living in the hour of empowerment, which means biblical promises are coming to pass. I don't know about you, but when I step into His presence I feel empowered spiritually. We each need His presence to counteract all the negativity we face on a daily basis.
Negativity and doubt have a way of wearing us down. We must not allow negativity to steal our joy. If the enemy can steal your joy, he can steal your strength.
Sometimes when I am having a bad day, I simply find a good biblical message on my phone and grab my ear buds and place myself in a totally different atmosphere. It's a quick way to renew my mind. It shifts me from any lies of the enemy and back into my rightful covenant position.
Housing the presence of God occurs because we are in covenant. Covenant occurs because we become one with Christ. Actually, one of the requirements of the covenant is this: We are required to carry His presence. Let me make it really plain now: to know Christ is to know His presence.
To be in covenant also means that we obtain all His benefits. Freedom is a benefit. Health and prosperity are benefits. There's more. It would benefit you to do a study on all of His benefits! But for the sake of this article, I listed the most obvious. (Photo via Pexels)
Let us remember that King David never earned God's favor and benefits but received them. So it is with you and me. We can't earn His blessings; we can only receive them.
A Word of Encouragement
If you are struggling with His fire and you are aware that you're in the process of spiritual heart surgery, I know what you're going through! Let me encourage you with this: You are being set apart unto Him. There is great work for you to do! Hang in there; it will end, and then you can shine for His glory!
I know what it is to be set apart. I know how it feels to cry out to God when things seem to be going the wrong way. So, once more, please allow me to give you a bit more encouragement.
Enjoying His presence daily can be a real treat. God knows exactly where you are and what you have need of. There is nothing that can separate you from His love.
I know the enemy tries, but we must discern for ourselves every lie of the enemy. He lies and says, "It's too difficult. God doesn't care about you. If this were God, you wouldn't be suffering through this." Well, doesn't Scripture teach us that we will suffer some? I encourage you to study this, knowing that suffering works patience, humility, and more! It helps to embrace that fireball I've been writing to you about!
Greater is Jesus within you than the enemy who is in the world. Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
You are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). It's the Father's good pleasure to give you His Kingdom (see Luke 12:32). Like Moses said, "God, if You can't go with me, then don't send me" (see Exodus 33:15). Those are my words, but bottom line, I believe that is what Moses meant!
It's like the old saying: Don't let me see it if I can't be it. I want to BE it! I know you do too! So, let's BECOME who we really are: a people transformed into His image!
