The goodness of God is at work in this season not only to bring a widespread turning from wickedness toward righteousness, but individual turnarounds as well.
"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance." (Isaiah 55:1–2 NKJV)
As I prayed over the revelation the Lord gave me for the Hebraic year 5785 (and the Gregorian calendar year 2025), I felt the Holy Spirit reminded me that we are halfway through the decade of the letter Pey, which in the Hebrew alphabet has the numeric value of eighty. The primary meaning of Pey is "mouth," and by extension "word," "vocalization," "expression," or "speech" (see hebrew4Christians.com).
If you remember, Moses was eighty years old when he was called by the Lord to be His mouth and voice for Israel; although when Moses protested, the Lord appointed Aaron to be a mouthpiece, or spokesperson as well (see Exodus 4:12–16; 6:28–7:7).
If I See It, I Say It
The elements of decreeing, declaring, and targeted intercession are all important in this season. A motto to live by is if I see it, I say it.
The fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Hey, represents the number five and can symbolize God's grace, favor, kindness, and mercy toward mankind—all factors encompassed by the goodness of God.
All four Gospels record the story of the feeding of 5,000 men (besides women and children) with five loaves and two fish, and with twelve baskets of bread fragments left over (Matthew 14:13–21; Mark 6:30–44; Luke 9:10–17; John 6:1–14). In John's account, afterward, Jesus launched into a discourse on not working to obtain food which perished, but seeking the food which endures to everlasting life. Jesus explained, "... I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst" (John 6:35 NKJV).
The Lord's been highlighting Isaiah 55 to me for 5785/2025, a chapter which reflects the theme of the goodness and abundance available in God, much like Jesus' feeding of the 5,000 with twelve baskets left over did. I believe the twelve baskets left over represent not only abundance, but just as there were twelve apostles, those twelve baskets also represent the new levels of apostolic authority which will manifest in this season.
A Working for Good
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28 NKJV)
Recently, I felt prompted to reread the story of Joseph (Genesis 37, 39–50). No matter how many times I read this story, I am struck anew by the powerful way God used the adverse and unfortunate circumstances in Joseph's life to position him and "set him up" for saving lives.
In Genesis 50:20 (NKJV), Joseph, when reassuring his brothers after their father Jacob died, said to them, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
Friends, I want to encourage you that many of you who have been encountering adverse and unfortunate circumstances are also being "set up" by God for the saving of lives. For some, this might be in more practical ways, like establishing places of refuge for the days ahead. For others, it may be in a spiritual sense, by providing nourishment to the spiritually hungry and thirsty. Or it might be a combination of both. (Photo via Unsplash)
Declare the goodness of God over your life and circumstances, then watch as He uses what was meant for evil by the enemy (satan) for good!
Wisdom and Foresight
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 NKJV)
A theme I've been hearing repeatedly is that we need to be asking the Lord for wisdom and foresight—for wisdom and understanding.
One online definition I found for foresight reads, "Foresight is the ability to predict, or the action of predicting, what will happen or what is needed in the future" (Wikipedia). Another definition reads, "The ability to judge correctly what is going to happen in the future and plan your actions based on this knowledge" (Cambridge Dictionary).
This again brings to mind the story of Joseph. When God gave Joseph the interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams, Pharaoh said to Joseph, "... Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house and all my people shall be ruled according to your word... See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt" (Genesis 41:39–41 NKJV).
As prophetic people, in faith we should expect God to give us the wisdom and foresight to prepare for whatever lies ahead when we ask, and the ability to provide direction and aid to others as well.
Great Favor to Come
"And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight..." (Genesis 39:3–4 NKJV)
I had a dream just prior to Rosh Hashanah, which began at sundown on October 2, 2024. In the first part, I was seated in a balcony at a meeting after having just been asked by leadership to fill a two-fold ministry position, although I hadn't said "yes" yet, because it was outside the realm of what I was used to doing. Several leaders seated below motioned for me to come down and sit with them, so I came downstairs and found a seat nearby.
The second scene of the dream had to do with obtaining a new I.D. card, which this new position required. Many people were stepping up to help—not just with the new identity card, but with many other things I needed to get done at once.
In the final scene, I was presented a blank check made out in my name and written in very old-school cursive. (This was the third time a blank check had been presented to me in recent dreams.)
As I prayed and pondered over the dream's segments, I witnessed to having been visited by an angel in the night.
Friends, I believe angels of commissioning are on the move, bringing new assignments of increased responsibility with new identities, and releasing abundant provision for the completion of these assignments.
I heard the Lord say, "There is great favor to come!"
A Great Turning
"'Say to them: "As I live," says the Lord God, "I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?"'" (Ezekiel 33:11 NKJV) (Photo via Pixabay)
Three different times the Lord has spoken to me of a great cleansing that is coming on the land—that there will be a great turning from wickedness toward righteousness.
The third time was in a dream in which I was seated in the front row of a meeting that a godly woman was leading. Suddenly, something came over me and I fell to the floor, weeping and wailing uncontrollably. Recognizing that Holy Spirit was moving, the woman came over and asked me what I was experiencing.
I told her I saw a cleansing rain. Then I said, "There will be a great cleansing on the land, a turning from wickedness to righteousness."
Turnaround Is HERE
"Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness." (Psalm 107:8–9 NKJV)
The Lord spoke to me of another aspect of turning, this time regarding personal turnarounds. As I shared in a previous article, several months ago my husband and I experienced a setback to our health due to a vehicle accident.
One night as I was earnestly praying for a turnaround regarding our health, I suddenly heard the Lord say, "Stop begging for turnaround. Turnaround is HERE!"
Mic drop.
I honestly didn't realize I'd been begging, but apparently I was. Since then, I've been declaring that turnaround is here over many situations, and have seen miraculous results.
Friends, it is my belief that the goodness of God is at work in this season, not only to bring a widespread turning from wickedness toward righteousness, but individual turnarounds as well.
Areas for Activation
Determine to step up your level of targeted intercession in this season. Remember, God is a prayer warrior (John 17; Romans 8:26, 34; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24)! Pray especially for the coming election, and watch Pennsylvania on election day.
I invite you to pray with me: Lord, grant us wisdom and understanding for the times and seasons we are in. We pray for a great cleansing to be on the land. Let there be a great turning from wickedness toward righteousness!
Together, let's declare the goodness of God—that His goodness will bring a great turning and that turnaround is HERE! Amen and amen!
