"In times of tragedy like this, one of the amazing things that you see is just people coming together. The challenge is finding where are the people on the ground that can really help deploy this kind of money. We have those contacts, and we are excited to get behind this..." – Chris Kuehl, COO of Restore7
[Breaking Christian News] Thankfully, in the wake of the tremendous destruction of Hurricane Helene, there are many organizations that are helping the victims in the hardest-hit areas. (Screengrab image of Chris Kuehl via Restore7)
Among those is Restore7, which is working with local pastors in North Carolina.
Chris Kuehl, COO of Restore7, and son-in-law of prophetic speaker and author Johnny Enlow, spoke recently on video about the efforts they are making to bring aid to Helene victims, and specifically what that looks like:
"...One of the main churches I've talked to right now is feeding almost 2,000 people a day... they're buying meals by the truckload, which is $60,000—I'm trying to buy them one truckload," explained Kuehl in the video message.
"And then we have about two other pastors that we're working with who are both responsible for about 45–60 families right now; they're not receiving anything from the government. We want to go in there and help them get set up for the next six to twelve weeks with this aid. We feel very confident that we can deploy this money in a way that is not going to be just taken by the government... In times of tragedy like this, one of the amazing things that you see is just people coming together. The challenge is finding where are the people on the ground that can really help deploy this kind of money. We have those contacts, and we are excited to get behind this," he added.
Kuehl noted the disorganized situation among those who've lost everything and are looking for help: "It's chaotic and that's why we feel it's really good to work with pastors on the ground there... we know we have an audience that really wants to be a part of this and just help. So that's what we're doing. Like always, everything you give to Restore7 is tax deductible. And 100 percent of this is going to go into the communities; we're not taking anything for administration, we're not taking anything for our time in going down there. A hundred percent of what you give will go into these communities..."

The following information from Restore7 gives specifics regarding the needs they are targeting. Click here to give to help victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.
MISSION: To Raise $700,000 for three specific needs in the aftermath of Helene. These are smaller towns around Asheville that are not receiving government support. We are also right around the corner from winter and need to start getting warm clothes and goods into the area.
$200,000 for a tractor trailer truck load of food for Pisgah Forest, NC. This will impact over 2,000 families. This will go directly to a church in Pisgah Forest.
$300,000 for Candler, NC. This is direct action to 60 affected families for generators, dehumidifiers, food, and shelter.
$200,000 for a pastor in Mills River who is setting up a temporary food bank. He is personally delivering aid to his community. This will impact 125 families in the community.
*If we reach this goal, keep giving. We can give much more to these three communities; this is just a baseline. We will find a use for every penny.

Relief Effort Update from Johnny Enlow:
(Facebook post made on October 9, 2024)
Hey Restore7 Family,
We are absolutely blown away by your generosity in the face of the Helene tragedy. You are incredible, and we are so thankful that we are building the Kingdom together. (Image of Johnny and Elizabeth Enlow via Restore7)
We have been buying, shipping, and giving non-stop since last week. We were making a generator purchase (we had 15 at this particular store), and a man came up and asked what we were doing with all the generators. As soon as he found out where the generators were going, he asked if he could buy one of the generators for the people in Helene.
We were met a few minutes later by what basically amounted to a homeless man requesting that we take his seven dollars. It was probably the last seven dollars he had. The widow's mite is the purest of all gifts. Another man asked to fill up our gas tanks. We could tell these kinds of stories all day... (Image of Hurricane Helene relief efforts via Restore7)
At every turn we see America coming together to support one another. It is what makes this nation beautiful, and in the end this is why we will overcome everything happening in this nation right now. The fighting spirit is alive and well in America.
We are heading down to Asheville this weekend with ten trucks and trailers. We have around 100k in supplies and are seeding money to pastors on the ground who are on the front lines of the day-to-day needs.
Thank you so much for your belief in the work. We couldn't do it without the incredible Restore7 family. We wanted you to hear a good report from us. The people of America are coming together in the face of tragedy. We are so encouraged with every donation, and with every generous gesture that people along the way are sowing into their fellow man.
