From Sorrow and Ashes to the Oil of Gladness
"He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes." (Deuteronomy 10:21, NLT)
As I was pondering this new word from the Lord, I was reminded of the prophetic picture that I received from the last word that He delivered to my husband and myself. In that picture, there was a man lying in an ash heap. This man represented the Bride of Christ, who was beaten down from the hard season that we have all endured.
As he was about to give in and give up, the King of Light appeared on the scene and lifted the man to his feet, gave him a new robe, put a ring on his finger, and gave him the gift of the oil of gladness. Indeed, as the King of Light poured the oil of gladness on the crown and head of His Bride, their heart and countenance totally changed from that of despair to gladness and joy! This oil was an inheritance gift from the heart of the Father to His Bride for them to use as often as they desired. The oil would never run dry!
Although the oil had now restored the countenance of the Bride from despair to gladness, the harsh memories of the long and dreadful season were still prominent. The gladness was greater, yet the Lord sensed that the hard memories residing in His Bride remained. Something more was needed. (Photo via Pxfuel)
The Invitation
I hear the Lord saying, "My Bride! I now give you this invitation from My heart to allow ME to restore your childlike faith and wonder! Will you allow ME to take your hand? Will you allow ME to walk with you and show you things that will again stir up your childlike faith and wonder?
"As I have spoken in My Word, I am your God. I am the only one who is worthy of your praise. I am the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your eyes.
"The oil of gladness is part of your inheritance from Me, but it is I who will restore your childlike faith and wonder! Walk with Me and watch what I will do now! You will see it with your own eyes!"
America Shall Be Saved!
I hear the Lord saying, "For you, My Bride in America! I have you in My hand! I am in remembrance of My covenant with this nation.
"Do not fear! For you, it shall be like the days of King Jehoshaphat, for many desire to rise against you and to destroy you! Yet in your despair, you have called upon Me and you have worshiped Me! The great sins of the wicked have now reached their fullness! Now, watch and see! Those who tried to rise up against you will be flushed out and brought to justice! They shall be no more!"
"Be encouraged, America!" says the Lord. "Regardless of what you have walked through or what you are currently facing, I will be faithful! Faithful I have been and faithful I will be! (Photo via Flickr)
"I have seen your sorrows and I have collected your tears! Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Do not lose hope now at this point in time! I am doing a finishing work that many may not see!
"America, I am holding you together! Continue to hold My hand and walk with Me as I restore your childlike faith and wonder! Your best days are still ahead of you, and you will testify of My goodness!"
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." (Psalm 27:13, NIV)
A Prayer for the Bride of Christ in All Nations
Father, in the name of our Yeshua, Jesus Christ, I receive fresh hope and childlike faith and wonder this day. Bring into remembrance just how faithful You have been to me. I anticipate with childlike faith and wonder all You have done and are going to do. I receive Your strength and joy this day, amen.
