Prophetic word released on July 9, 2024:
I heard the Lord say, over the next four weeks, "Watch what you watch." Meaning, we need to be careful about what we are watching and taking into the gates of our eyes.
The Assignment of the Enemy
There is an assignment from the enemy to cast witchcraft over the eyes of our nation—not just in the natural, through media and screens, but also by projecting ungodly images into our minds and into our dream life.
Hopelessness, fear, and looking at our lack or inability are three attacks that satan is launching to distract us from seeing what God is saying and doing.
The main goal of this assignment is to get us to abort the promise/mission/position that God is calling us to.
Part of the enemy's strategy is to project "what if" and "worst case scenario" imaginations into our minds that would cause us to doubt the goodness of God and submit our authority. (Photo via Pexels)
War with the Promises of God & Protect the Season of Preparation
This is a great time to meditate on the promises of God, both written and prophetic, so that we can make war with them when the enemy comes to sow doubt in order to get us to back out of our "yes" to follow Jesus where He is guiding us.
We must also be careful to protect our hearts and our eyes from making agreements with anyone or anything that's promising a shortcut. We must protect the season of process and preparation so that what we birth in the days to come doesn't ultimately turn out to be either a premature birth or an outright Ishmael. Slowing down to listen to the Lord and His leading, as we make agreements and alignments, will cut back on a tremendous amount of unnecessary spiritual warfare this month.
Do not allow yourself to come into agreement with the voice that says, "Did God really say?" It's a trap. Wait on the Lord before jumping the fence. The restriction you feel right now is God's protection hedging you in and leading you out into the next place.
A Time to Go up to Our Prayer Tower
For some, this is a Habakkuk 2 time where we are being invited to go up to our prayer tower, see what God has to say, and then write out the vision and make it plain.
There is divine strategy waiting to be released along with faith, hope, and tremendous courage to face our challenges.
A Season of Closing the Door on the Past
For others, this is a season of finally closing the door on the past season by tying up loose ends as the door to the new is opened wide before them. I believe this will manifest by way of buying and selling new homes, signing leases on new properties, new business deals, career or job changes, and even changing churches. God might even be asking you to separate yourself from certain friends or even family members right now, just as Abraham did (see Genesis 13).
These big commitments can be scary. It's so important that you follow through with what the Lord has asked you to do. Don't make what you are moving away from an idol by depending on it (or them) before you depend on God. The Lord is everything you need. Seek Him first and everything else will be provided. Don't settle for scraps when the place He is bringing you into is a good place flowing with milk and honey! (Photo via Wallpaper Flare)
A Time to Refocus on the Eyes of Jesus
For some of you, this is a time to refocus on the eyes of Jesus and allow Him to give you a fresh perspective.
So many of you have been in such a time of intense warfare that your eyes are stinging from the fog of war. Look at Jesus and let Him cleanse your heart and mind. Let the water of His Word wash over you and restore your soul.
For those who have made it through the battle, He wants you to see the ways He was actually working all of it out for your good! He is giving you clarity about how to see those who hurt you. He is releasing the power to forgive and release your trespassers. He desires to speak to your identity and to your future, and He wants to give you a glimpse of the great things He has in store for you.
Take your thoughts captive. Cast down every thought or imagination that leads you into fear, despair, or hopelessness. Fix your eyes upon Jesus and He will show you great and mighty things that you do not know!
