Stephanie Claiborne: "A Heart of Integrity"

Stephanie Claiborne, Anchorage, AK
May 26, 2024

I recently have been camped out in the book of Job. I have been surprised at what I have found, especially how Job responded to his wife. I never thought about his wife and how she suffered at the loss of all her children and belongings.

In Job 2:7–10, we read the following:

"So satan left the Lord's presence, and he struck Job with terrible boils from head to foot.

"Job scraped his skin with a piece of broken pottery as he sat among the ashes. His wife said to him, 'Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die.'

"But Job replied, 'You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?' So in all this, Job said nothing wrong."

Will You Maintain Your Integrity?

Notice how his wife comes to him and asks Job, "Are you still trying to maintain your integrity?" Can you imagine? You are being asked, during your suffering, if you will maintain your integrity. God is moving in such a way that we will have to be able to know how to maintain our integrity during times of testing and the fiery trials that are meant to cause a refinement in our hearts. Cleansing Fire

In 1 Peter 4:12–13, we read the following:

"Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world."

Our suffering is not for suffering's sake. The Lord desires to cleanse our hearts and to bring us to a place of oneness with Him.

Integrity Is "Key"

Another thought I have heard for several years is that Job must have had some sort of pride, or something. That must have been the reason why his children and everything he had was stripped from him. The Bible states that Job would make sacrifices on behalf of his children, just in case they mistakenly sinned. Job was a man of upright character in the earth, and his name was known in the councils of Heaven. God was bringing him an opportunity to continue to align his heart with integrity, which is the Father's heart.

The Lord is saying that it is time we move from what we see to what we know of Him. During fiery trials (which we all face), we are to maintain our integrity. This looks like the following: not complaining, trusting His way rather than our way, and exchanging our perspective for His perspective in all things. THIS IS A KEY, and this is the season where KINGDOM KEYS are being released. (Photo via Pxfuel)

Align Your Words

The Lord is saying that this is the time where He is transitioning us to a place of true alignment with HIM. Now, we will see how to increase our capital in the heavenlies and in Earth by watching what we align with our words. May it be said of us as the Bible says about Job, "Job said nothing wrong" (Job 2:10).

Activation Prayer:

Put your hand on your heart, and say, "Lord, thank You for the opportunity to walk in integrity. Thank You for blessing me with an opportunity to walk in Your truth and in Your ways. May all my words align with You and what You have set in place, in Jesus' name, amen."
