Lana Vawser: "From Boxes to Blank Canvases - An Invitation to the New!"

Do you feel there are times where you have lost out on life and wasted precious time?

I think many have felt that way in different seasons...but know this – God loves redeeming you...as if nothing was ever lost.

Lana Vawser writes an excellent message about this in her recent article as she says:

The words "BEGIN AGAIN" thundered once more, and the Lord showed me that some of these precious ones had laid things down for many different reasons, but the Lord was saying, "BEGIN AGAIN!" The Lord was inviting them into a place of encounter to see who they were again – to see the new things He had for them in this season. And as they would pick back up the things that they had laid down and dropped, things they felt had died or failed, Jesus would paint a beautiful picture of the increase and fruitfulness that would come forth in their obedience.

I saw Jesus looking at them, and smiling, He spoke, "It will be different this time – so much different."

What a powerful vision that is for all of us! If you have felt like you've lost out...know that God is giving you a brand new invitation to begin again with Him.

Recently, as I sat with the Lord I heard Him say, "FROM BOXES TO BLANK CANVASES."

I then saw many in the Body of Christ who felt like they were living 'contained.' Expectations of others (or expectations they had placed upon themselves), circumstances, and lies were keeping them contained.

It's Time to Fly!

In this vision, it was very clear to me that the heart of the Father was for them to FLY in this hour. They were not created to be contained or to be boxed in; they were born to stand out and shine in the authenticity of who the Lord had created them to be! This was a time to arise and flourish in their identity in greater ways than ever before, to flourish in their unique expression of who Christ is within them, and to walk in greater authenticity.

I could feel the deep weariness that they had been walking in as these boxes of containment were sucking the life out of them – out of who they were created to be by the Father.

His voice spoke again: "IT IS TIME TO FLY! IT IS TIME TO FLY."

The depth of freedom I could feel in His voice was exponential. The power of the Holy Spirit was breaking limitations in a way that many had never experienced before. This was life-changing deliverance, healing, and a commission to fly higher on the winds of the Spirit in exponential ways.

Reintroducing His People to Themselves

I had a very strong sense that the Lord was reintroducing His people to themselves. Many have forgotten who they are because of the lingering effects of different seasons they have walked and are walking in – seasons where they have fought against the constant battles, disappointments, expectations, lies, and the stronghold of the fear of man. Living under the heavy weight of all these different things has slowly been sucking the life out of them, and many have felt like they don't even know who they are anymore.

In that moment, I saw Jesus taking them by the hand. He was taking them deeper into the season of being reintroduced to themselves as they were created to be by the Father – the dream of the Father in them, walking in who they were created to be, and unfolding and flourishing in accelerated ways. I could feel the depth of freedom in His voice. The power of the Holy Spirit was a breaking limitations in a way that many had never experienced before. This was a life-changing deliverance, healing and commissioning them to fly higher on the winds of the Spirit in exponential ways.

Many had forgotten who they were because of the lingering effects of different seasons they had walked in and were currently walking in – fighting against the constant battles, disappointments, expectations, lies, and the stronghold of the fear of man. Living under the heavy weight of all these different things had slowly been sucking the life out of them, and many had felt like they didn't even know who they were anymore.

From Boxes to Blank Canvases

Again, I heard the Lord say, "FROM BOXES TO BLANK CANVASES," and I saw the boxes that these people had been living in. Jesus was bringing such deep deliverance and freedom. These boxes were breaking in explosive ways, and where the boxes once were, suddenly there were blank canvases. I saw Jesus standing with these people before the blank canvases, and He began to paint and draw. He was showing them, on these canvases, how HE saw things, and how HE saw them. I could sense the realignment of original design and identity exploding and flourishing all around.

There were so many tears in that moment. Jesus' eyes were filled with tears – tears of joy and tears of love – at their beauty, and by how deeply loved they were by Him and the Father. I could feel His heart bursting with love. This was a moment and season of the deepest encounters with the love of Christ and the love of the Father. I was surrounded by the JOY that was set before Him, the joy for which He endured the Cross (see Hebrews 12:2).

I could feel so many layers of His JOY in that moment, and the love of Christ for these people was so weighty. This was going to be the deepest and most sacred season of knowing His love and being known and so delighted in by Him. I knew that such a flourishing strength and joy was going to explode and blossom within their hearts as they experienced just how loved and treasured they were by Him on a deeper level, and that so much which had hindered them would be no more.

An Invitation to the New

At the same time, I knew that these blank canvases were also an invitation from the deep place of intimacy with Jesus to see the new landscapes, designs and plans, and to blossom in new ways of operating with Him in deeper realms of freedom.

I saw Jesus painting new assignments, deep wells and new lands which, for some, were completely unexpected – things never thought of. Contained within these things was the most explosive joy in deep partnership with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and in watching His Spirit move. As they partnered with Him in the new ways and what He was painting on these canvases, not only was life flowing through them to bring change and transformation to others, but life was flowing INTO THEM, bringing them to life again.

There was such joy and such a depth of dreaming again with Jesus. All was being restored, and more! I felt a deep sense of new beginnings that the Lord was bringing to them. (Photo via Unsplash)

An Invitation to Begin Again

The heralding of His voice thundering over their season. "BEGIN AGAIN" was a declaration that was causing all things, which had been out of alignment and crooked, to suddenly come into divine alignment. Where many had felt like so much time had been lost, there was a supernatural extension and expansion of time by His hand which would see a greater fruitfulness in the season than ever before.

I was struck again, in this encounter, that the Lord is not bound by time; time bows to Him, and there was supernatural expansion, acceleration and extension happening in these new beginnings. The intentions of the Lord for their season would be fulfilled in greater ways than they could ever have imagined.

I then saw – despite the different paintings, pictures, writings and designs – that there was the same imprint deep in the center of every canvas; it was EPHESIANS 3:20. I knew the Lord was speaking in ALL these deep moments of transformative encounter with Him, and that His love would burst and flourish forth the promise and declaration of Ephesians 3:20.

"Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you." (Ephesians 3:20 TPT)
