"But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]
will gain new strength and renew their power;
they will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];
they will run and not become weary,
they will walk and not grow tired." (Isaiah 40:31)
The title of Marsha Burns' article is a prophetic encouragement for you by itself: "This Is the Beginning of a Season of Hope."

Hope in the Lord
When I was seeking God for what He would show me regarding the next new era, I glanced out my office window and saw a rainbow. I then saw in the spirit someone walking on a rainbow and thought of some of the song lyrics from Over the Rainbow:
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
(Ballad by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Yip Harburg)
We must leave the past behind with all of its woes and sorrows and embrace what God has in store for us in the days ahead.

A Season of Greater Spiritual Awareness, Authority and Power
If you will seek earnestly to be one with the Holy Spirit, you will be able to live and walk in His awareness, exercise His authority and operate in His power, which will not only be a benefit to you but also to those around you.
"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)
It will be a season of freedom and liberty. We will not have to be shackled by anything that's not right for us as individuals.
You are a child of God who has been given the freedom to choose. Personal choice is a gift that will extricate you from bondage of any kind. Trust Him to help you get free and stay free.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1)
Surpassing the Normal and Mundane
This will be a time that will surpass what we accept as normal or mundane. Be willing to think outside the box to know that your capabilities are greater than what you have settled for. You must believe that God will reveal your true nature and abilities. Do not be afraid to expand beyond what you have considered to be your limitations.
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)
Go Beyond Current Understanding and Desires
You have to want to expand beyond where you are and be willing to make the changes necessary for your own good and the good of those around you. Stay close to God, and He will direct your steps. (Photo via Flickr)
"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." (Luke 6:45)
Small Steps and Giant Leaps
It will not necessarily be small steps as much as giant leaps. I cannot help but think about Neil Armstrong with his first step on the moon: "That is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." When we position ourselves to be extraordinary and to go beyond limitations (either self-imposed or externally imposed), those once small steps will become giant leaps. However, we will begin with a first step.
"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:6)
Keep moving in the right direction, and make every step count.
