 Right now, there are several prayer focuses that are converging at the same time.
Rather than "shot-gunning" prayer focuses from many sources, I am going to mainly
send you the prayer focuses by Chuck Pierce, (and those he quotes) as Chuck is truly,
I believe, just like one of the "sons of Issachar," who knew the times and seasons.
Few people who I've ever known have been so right on regarding the timing and strategies
concerning prayer, as Chuck Pierce.
We have major strategies in prayer we are shooting to you in fairly rapid succession,
regarding Iraq elections, the U.S. Presidential Inauguration, the upcoming abortion
issues, and more.
For those of you who want to pray "in concert" with many of us around the nation
and the world, these prayer directives, that are a bit overlapping in their timing,
are highly critical in this hour.
This is the time NOT to let our guard down.

10-DAY PRAYER FOCUS: DEVELOPING A MIND FOR VICTORY
 Dear
Friends and Faithful Warriors:
I just returned from the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE) Meeting in
Colorado Springs. This was our ninth and best meeting. Peter Wagner and Cindy Jacobs
did a great job of leading our time together. I then spoke at Apostle Dutch Sheets'
prophetic gathering for Colorado. I am now flying to Atlanta. Please pray as I seek
the Lord to order my steps this year.

The Starting the Year off Right Gathering on January 6-8 was really amazing.
The revelation and release of anointing by the speakers was just incredible. Put
this on your calendar and plan to be with us next January. I spoke on Waves of Change.
The Lord had shown me this in mid-December.
CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR SOUTHEAST ASIA
Great shaking! Great devastation! And great opportunity for the Lord to touch many!
We are connected in Sri Lanka, and recently had a couple, who minister in that nation,
visit us.
On December 4, 2004, at our Firstfruits Service
at Glory of Zion Outreach, Keith Pierce prophesied that Sri Lanka would be before
world attention within 30 days, then 60 days, and then 90 days. He also prophesied
that the Buddhist temples would be flooded and Buddhist priests would be jumping
like grasshoppers to get out of the water. He then went on to say that the Lord
would do a strange work to crumble the Buddhist temples from within. Well, now I
understand!
I find it interesting that they are saying few animals in the game preserves were
injured. Jack Hanna was on TV and said that the predator and prey warn each other
when something is up. The elephant can feel it in its feet and signals the giraffe.
The lion sees the giraffe is alerted, and alerts others, etc. This must be a year
that we, people, become more alert and discerning.
LAST YEAR: THE NUMBER 4 - REARRANGED BOUNDARIES
Remember, last year, that I wrote the following about the number "4":
"I feel it's important we understand the Biblical
meaning of the number '4.' Four denotes God's creative works. This number is related
to material completeness, or many resources taking a new form. This is a year that
we must relate to the land, the world around us, and especially our city or territory.
This is a year that God will be doing things so that heaven will begin to manifest
in the earth realm.
"Four is the number for the great elements (earth, air, fire, and water); the regions
of the earth (north, south, east, west); the divisions of the day (morning, noon,
evening, midnight); the number of seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter); and
the four phases of the moon. Four also marks division.
"Four is the first number that can be evenly divided by a number other than one
or itself. Therefore, this will be a year that we see division in order to bring
about a completeness of God's purposes by the end of this seven year season. Watch
for certain religious structures to divide. Watch for political parties to become
polarized. Watch for earth boundaries to be reestablished so God's covenant purposes
can be accomplished."
The following article is interesting in light of the above: Quake Rattled Earth
Orbit, Changed Map of Asia
"An earthquake that unleashed deadly tidal
waves on Asia was so powerful it made the Earth wobble on its axis and permanently
altered the regional map, US geophysicists said. The 9.0-magnitude temblor that
struck 250 kilometers (155 miles) southeast of Sumatra island Sunday may have moved
small islands as much as 20 meters (66 feet), according to one expert . . . 'Based on
seismic modeling, some of the smaller islands off the southwest coast of Sumatra
may have moved to the southwest by about 20 meters. That is a lot of slip.
"'The northwestern tip of the Indonesian territory of Sumatra may also have shifted
to the southwest by around 36 meters (120 feet),' Hudnut said. In this case, the
Indian plate dived below the Burma plate, causing uplift, so most of the motion
to the islands would have been vertical, not horizontal." (12/28/04, AFP).
The earth, the nations, God's people, the church
-- we are all shifting and changing rapidly.
THIS YEAR: THE NUMBER 5 - SUPERABUNDANT GRACE IN THE MIDST
OF CONFUSION
This is the year that ends with "5." This number means grace or favor. This is a
year where our "five senses" will recognize the Presence of a Holy God. Where God
moved with the elements of the earth last year, He will move on us this year. This
will be a year of unusual VICTORY. Just as David picked up five stones to defeat
Goliath, the Lord has increasing victory planned for us.
I feel we are as in the days of Noah again. Noah gained favor from the Lord. He
built a prototype that had never been built. As I was reading in Genesis 8, verses
5 and 6 illuminated or "jumped out" and quickened in my spirit:
"And the waters decreased continually until the tenth
month. In the tenth month, the tops of the mountains were seen. So it came to pass
at the end of 40 days, Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made." (KJV)
This was a rhema word to me . . . the next ten months we can go from victory to victory
so that in the tenth month we can see the blessings of God flowing through the windows
of opportunity that He has established in the heavens for each of us.
BREAK OLD CYCLES AND WATCH FOR NEW OPPORTUNITIES
As I was reviewing the Word of the Lord for this year (http://www.glory-of-zion.org/newsletters_0.htm),
I read the following:
"Be surrounded and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Develop a new level of discernment through worship. Reality is produced when we
worship in Word (Truth) and Spirit. End old cycles. Do not cycle through your wilderness
again. Break the cycle of Mt. Sinai (don't get around that mountain again!) and
head toward and up Mt. Zion. In the face of your enemy, violently praise! Let praise
BIND the strongman and then plunder, take, and repossess your spoils."
We must not miss our windows of opportunity
this year! We need to break old cycles that would cause us to half-heartedly enter
in to all that the Lord has this year. We need PASSION to PRESS! Coming full circle
and breaking old cycles are keys to our victory ahead.
Receive a new anointing! The anointing will give you victory over death cycles and
the fear of death. Be anointed to have victory over demonic forces that would try
and stop you in the future (particularly through the end of March)! Be anointed
for increase and harvest so you begin to fill His storehouse!
Receive an Issachar anointing to interpret the times so you know what decisions
to make! To anoint or, mashiach, refers to one who is anointed with oil, symbolizing
the reception of the Holy Spirit, enabling Him to do an assigned task. Mashach means
"to smear with oil or paint." Allow the Hand of the Lord to paint you with His anointing,
and may your enemies know you have been set apart!
VICTORY!
What is victory? Victory means final and complete supremacy in battle/war, or a
specific military engagement ending in triumph. Victory can also mean success in
any contest or struggle involving the defeat of an opponent or the overcoming of
obstacles. Now is the time to move past the obstacles that would prevent you from
succeeding in what God is asking you to do!
The primary Biblical assertion is that victory belongs to God (Jonah 2:9; 1 Corinthians
15:54-57; Revelation 7:10). This is succinctly expressed in the phrase "the battle
is the Lord's" (1 Samuel 17:47), i.e. victory belongs exclusively to the Lord and
is His to bestow at will. Victory is only assured when we are operating in the will
and timing of God in the earth realm. There are three special features of the Lord's
victory.
First, the Lord's victory is the exercise of holy sovereignty in the course of history.
"Victory" is another way of saying that the government of the world rests in the
hands of a Holy God, who orders all things according to inflexible principles of
morality, so that sometimes His holiness must be asserted against His people, and
becomes "His strange deed" (Isaiah 28:21).
Second, this holy government and the power of victory are annexed to the holy rule
of the only God. Therefore, there is no doubt who will ultimately win the war. Before
long we will know His voice so well, that He will speak, we will obey, and victory
is assured (Ezekiel 38-39; Revelation 19).
Third, the people of God enter into victory by the obedience of faith. We experience
victory in God's victory (Exodus 14:13-14; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 20; Ephesians
6:16; 1 John 5:4-5). Peace, righteousness, and salvation are associated with victory
(1 Kings 22:28; Isaiah 41:3, Heb. Text) and are evidenced by the enjoyment of total
well-being that victory brings.
Victory through salvation is personal enlargement and deliverance (1 Samuel 14:45;
Judges 6:14). Righteousness is the personal quality which guarantees victory (Isaiah
59:16-17). All these cluster in a unique way around the cross of the Lord Jesus
Christ, the supreme victory of God (Ephesians 2:14ff., Titus 3:4-7) and His righteousness
(Romans 1:17, 3:21-27) (J. Pedersen, Israel, 1-4, 1926-40, Index s.v. 'Victory';
J.-J. von Allmen, Vocabulary of the Bible, 1958, s.v. 'Victory').
OUR VICTORY IN THE WAR AHEAD IS DEPENDENT ON GOD'S PERFECT
TIMING
1 Chronicles 12:32-33 refers to, "the sons of Issachar
who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs
were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command" (NKJV).
One of the first prophecies I ever received over my life was from a well-known individual
that was being used in the Charismatic movement in the 1970s. He prophesied that
I would understand time and have an anointing for timing. On the march in the desert,
Issachar was on the East with Judah and Zebulun his brothers. They led the march
toward the Promised Land (Numbers 2:5; 10:14-15). Therefore, the Issachar anointing
is very important if we are going to advance in victory.
Issachar means "he will bring reward." Men of Issachar, approximately 200, knew
how to ascertain the periods of the sun and moon, the intercalation of months, the
dates of solemn feasts, and could interpret the signs of the times. Also, Jacob's
prophecy was, "Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down
between the sheepfolds. When he saw that a resting place was good . . . he bowed
his shoulder to bear burdens, and became a slave at forced labor"
(Genesis 49:14-15, NASB).
This anointing is very important if we are going to carry God's burdens in the earth
realm, and bring them to birth at the appropriate time. Issachar was positioned
on Shechem at Mt. Gerizim, "to bless the people" (Deuteronomy 27:12). To summarize,
the Issachar anointing understands the timing of God, the government of God, carries
the burden of the Lord, and releases the blessings of God into the earth realm at
the intersection or crossroads of every season. Receive the Issachar Anointing!
In the Word of God, the timing element is built around the Feasts. The Old Testament
contains two calendars -- a civil and a religious one -- and this complicates our
understanding of the origins of the New Year. Therefore, Rosh Hashanah begins what
is known as The Head of the Year and culminates with the Feast of Tabernacles. This
is different from the first month of the year, which actually begins at Passover.
When the Bible is read with this concept of time, we seem to better recognize God's
purposes in the earth. Hebraic numbers have word and pictorial meanings. This helps
us understand time and stay very focused prophetically. We should begin the Head
of the Year with God's revelation for that year. We should pass over or cross over
into the fullness of the year with this revelation guiding our path.
I know we have entered a key kairos time that we could not afford to miss. In
God's Timing for Your Life, Dutch Sheets says the following:
"At the Pool of Bethesda, Jesus came to the
man who had been in his paralyzed condition for 36 years and asked him what seemed
to be a strange question: 'Do you want to get well?' (John 5:6, NIV).
"The man's answer revealed that although he was waiting at the pool, he really had
no hope of being healed. He was in a kairos moment, close to fullness, but hopelessness
had set in. Jesus asked him this question to make him realize that, although he
was waiting for the miraculous stirring in the pool, he had lost all hope of actually
being healed. Only seconds away from experiencing the new - just a handclasp away
from total restoration - the man was too disillusioned to recognize it. Somewhere
along the way, as he went through the process of time, he lost his expectation.
There wasn't anything within him that could respond in hope to Jesus' question.
"When God brings a shift, we must be ready to shift with Him. If we're not careful,
we won't believe that He can bring us from the chronos stages through the kairos
seasons and into fullness."
This is a kairos time for developing a mind
for victory. The following 10-Day Prayer Focus will help us shift our thinking into
a victory mode.
10 DAYS TO SHIFT YOUR MIND INTO A VICTORY MODE!
DAY 1. Read John 5. Get past any self pity. Defy the method of the day and
enter into victory.
DAY 2. Read Genesis 6-9:17. Know that God has a plan and new prototype for
your ultimate victory. Declare that any "waters" will recede and that you will receive
the open window of His blessings.
DAY 3. Read Ruth 1-3. Receive a new anointing. The anointing represents physical
refreshments after washing. In Ruth 3:3 we find where Ruth had to make her shift.
Naomi told her to take off her widow's garment, wash and anoint herself. You have
toiled too long. I decree all weariness breaks from you. Ruth then went to the threshing
floor and found her Redeemer. May His redemptive plan and key connections come clear
in your life.
DAY 4. Read 1 Kings 17-18. Agree with the Lord that you will follow Him into
new arenas of supply and provision. Ask Him to move you past any poverty structure.
Travail and ask Him to bring heaven's plan into sight for you.
DAY 5. Read John 2:9, 1 Corinthians 15:54-57, and Revelation 7:10. See that
God is a victorious God.
DAY 6. Read Psalm 60. Know that our God will do valiantly for you.
DAY 7. Read Acts 12. Get past any past failures and watch the Lord open doors
unexpectedly for you. Be sure to recognize when He is moving on your behalf.
DAY 8. Read 2 Kings 4. Know that God has victory plans to overcome your debt
structures.
DAY 9. Read Luke 5. Even though you have worked hard, the Lord has a simple
way to multiply you. Repent for not embracing His goodness.
DAY 10. Read Exodus 14, Deuteronomy 28, and Ephesians 6. His blessings are
there for you. Violently praise, war, stand, and receive.
We should war for the victory of the Lord each month for the next ten months. We
should expect to go from VICTORY TO VICTORY. Be like David in 2 Samuel 23:10:
"He arose, and
attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword.
The LORD brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him
only to plunder."
