From the Desks of Steve Shultz and Julie A. Smith:

Steve Shultz We are so impressed with the rising generation and the wisdom they carry.

As we read through Jesse Shamp's recent word, we were in awe at the wisdom he carries and pours out so well.

In this very hour, we need as much wisdom and understanding as we can possibly get to navigate us through these challenging times.

Jesse opens up with these strategic words:

How are we to redeem the time in these last days?

As I have been in prayer this season, studying and waiting on the Lord, He has placed upon my heart strategic prayer points and keys for redeeming the time in our nation of America, as well as in the Church. I pray this helps you through these troubling times.

God always has a plan to "deliver us from evil" in every circumstance and trouble we face, both individually and corporately.

How to Redeem the Time

Recently, this word of the Lord came to me: "I am awakening My people to be redeemers of time."

"[F]or the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, 'Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.' So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days." (Ephesians 5:14-16)

How are we to redeem the time in these last days?

As I have been in prayer this season, studying and waiting on the Lord, He has placed upon my heart strategic prayer points and keys for redeeming the time in our nation of America, as well as in the Church. I pray this helps you through these troubling times.

1. Know God's Will

If we are to redeem the time, we must know what the will of the Lord is. Jesus came to reveal to us God's will; He came to redeem the day by being a light bearer.

What is the will of the Lord for America? What is the will of the Lord for God's Church? What is the will of the Lord for your life? It's important that we ask ourselves these questions and receive the proper instruction from wise council that comes through the Holy Spirit, who is the Counselor. The Word of God reveals to each of us God's will. It's important that we have others around us who understand the will of the Lord and declare it!

2. Declare Who God Is

We redeem the time by what we declare—that this is the Lord's day!

"This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)

We must be a people that declare who God is. We must be a people that declare: This is the Lord's day, and not the enemy's.

3. Understand That Jesus Came to Redeem the Time

Jesus came to redeem the time: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the LORD" (Luke 4:18-19).

Jesus was anointed to preach the year of Jubilee. He came to preach a word that would set the captives free; a word that would heal God's people. It was a word that said, This is the day of freedom for you! He was anointed to redeem the time by bringing Heaven to Earth.

I believe God has divinely orchestrated times for His people. It's important to know, as well, that God is not limited by time.

4. Bring Forth the Testimony of Jesus

We are commissioned to be ambassadors of His Kingdom and transform the earth by bringing forth the testimony of Jesus!

The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy (see Revelation 19:10). The testimony of Jesus imparts life, hope and love to the earth.

5. We Must Awaken!

Awaken means "to stir up or produce" and "to wake from sleep." God desires for us to wake up from our spiritual slumber and passiveness, and to shake off that which has caused us to fall sleep. Let Isaiah 60 be your portion this year! (Photo via Pxhere)

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and His glory appears over you." (Isaiah 60:1-2)

6. Put on Light

The Bible speaks of the armor of light. Those who walk in the light have no condemnation. Those who walk in the light, walk in forgiveness. Those who walk in the light, the enemy cannot reach. The light surrounds those who are submitted to the Lord; the light becomes a shield.

In God's light, we see light. Revelational truths come as we are in that place of the light! We must put on light! We must be a faithful watchmen in prayer for the saints. God will always have a people, a remnant, to redeem the darkest of days. Those who will bring light to the darkness. Those who will be a voice to redeem the time, redeem wisdom, redeem a generation, and redeem a nation.

7. Let God's Word Lead You!

The light reveals what is in darkness. As we are navigating through so many changes in our society and culture, I want to remind you that God's Word remains the same. God's Word will lead us through all the shifts and demonic agendas of the enemy that our society is faced with.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)

8. Use Wisdom, Be Watchful, and Pray

Prayer empowers us to overcome temptation. We need strength to overcome sin, but let me remind you that unbelief is a sin, and bitterness can be a sin. When we get wounded in the wilderness, we must look to the Cross for healing so that we may keep enduring and cross over into the promise.

Our adversary has schemes, but God gives us strategies. Using wisdom in our warfare today is essential! I want to also encourage you to be watchful and in prayer. God is preparing His army to fight the enemies of God, to be fully prepared in the armor of the Lord and sword of the Spirit.

Leviathan and God's End Time Army

God is preparing His army in the midst of the shaking. We tend to forget that God foreknows and foresees every scheme of our adversary. God selected you to be on the earth for such a time as this.

We have witnessed the enemy's attempt to deceive the masses by blanketing those in the world with a dark cloud of despair, hopelessness and oppression. The enemy is at work today to bring about the fruit from the seeds of deception.

Our fight is not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers. God's end time army is being fully equipped to pierce Leviathan, the dragon.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Leviathan comes to bring a demonic swirl of confusion and deception. His objective is to bring division and destruction. Leviathan is in high places, as dragons go to high places. We have seen firsthand the wickedness of the enemy woven into all areas of society. (Photo via Pixabay)

How to Take Down Leviathan: This Is the Lord's Secret Weapon

As Believers, one of our common enemies is Leviathan, the dragon. Leviathan is a dragon and a sea monster, as well as an ancient serpent. The enemy has the same tricks and schemes; there isn't anything new that he does. He can't do anything that is original.

"In that day the LORD with His sore and great and strong sword shall punish Leviathan the piercing serpent, even Leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." (Isaiah 27:1)

The Bible promises us that one day Leviathan will be slain. I believe that day can become today as God's remnant arises. The enemy has already been bound; he is defeated. Yet, he is still deceiving hearts and minds in the earth today. The enemy is defeated, yet he is still roaming about as a roaring lion.

However, there is a weapon pointed toward Leviathan; it's the sword of the Lord! The word of the Lord came to me and God spoke to my heart, "My hidden weapon is My people in the earth that become one."

Revelation began to flood my heart and tears were in my eyes. God's weapon is His Word in us in these last days! Gideon wasn't given a sword, but he and his men, in unity, became one sword toward the enemy. It was the vibration that went forth out of one sound that defeated their enemies. It was a vibration that brought a spiritual climate of victory! Angels encamped around them as they stood on the word of the Lord!

God's sword becomes one through the remnant coming together in alignment. When we know we have one common enemy, we have one common goal—to pierce the dragon that is in the sea. We must know what the will of the Lord is and what the Word of the Lord is. We must be skillful with the sword, as we have an adversary.

God is moving and breathing upon community and family, as we are stronger together than we are separate. Unity provides a weapon that points toward the dragon. There is strength in numbers. The enemy despises unity. We must find those things that we have in common rather than what divides us.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)

Why was it so significant for Jesus to pray the prayer He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane? He didn't pray for world peace. He didn't pray to end world hunger. He didn't pray that war and famine would end. Jesus was, and is, concerned about all these things, yet it's not what He prayed. He prayed this prayer: "that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me" (John 17:21). He prayed for unity! He prayed that we would become one as Jesus and the Father are one.

God's weapon, this season, is the hidden intercessor; it's the remnant coming together under the banner of God's presence—in the unity of faith that we share!
