The Lord has impressed upon me to share a profound experience I had in late September, as it is a representation of what many in the Body of Christ have gone through, are currently going through, or will be going through in the near future.
My husband and I had a speaking engagement out of state that stretched us in many ways; but the Lord opened the door, so we prepared diligently. We planned our travel so that we would have ample time (a day and a half) to fine-tune our messages after we arrived. As it turned out, God had other plans. His 'fine-tuning' was internal, not external.
The day we set aside our final preparation, I woke up to a physical attack so severe, I almost went to the ER. The pain was so great I could not open my eyes or move my head. Yet during this time, I had multiple visions, and the Lord spoke to me many things. It was not until 2:00 p.m. on the day of our evening assignment that I knew I would be able to minister.
1st Vision: The Lord Is Fine-tuning Vessels of His Glory
During the worst of the pain, I went into a vision of what seemed like Hell. I was in a dark and pressing tunnel (like a birth canal), and was pummeled by tormenting pain, demonic images and taunting lies. This was an intense spiritual battle.
I dimly realized that there were scriptures to combat these things, but I had no strength to recollect even one! I was shown internal attitudes that were in my heart (even though I do not let them manifest) and imprints on my soul from the world. These were not 'evil' as we think of evil, but they were images of the world that pass by us every day through interactions with the world, social media, etc., as well as words spoken and received. He also showed me deep roots of perceived limitations and false self-beliefs. These were all things that do not reflect the glory of God.
Then I heard the following:
"If you want to carry My glory, a vessel of My presence, you must not allow these things to have residence. It is not enough to give Me precedence, for I am the Holy One; Holy is My eminence."
I was completely undone by the presence of the Lord in this situation, and the awareness of His holiness on a very deep level. Drained and weeping, I fully submitted and surrendered all of it to Him. I was prepared to die if that was what was to come.
If you have told the Lord you want to be a carrier of His glory, there will be continual preparation and fine-tuning. He is doing a quick work in removing those things residing in us that hinder His being seen through us. He is going deep into areas where other voices have held us captive, eradicating those roots that have formed false images of ourselves, God and others. Things imprinted in our formation that are not of His divine doing will be uprooted.
During my encounter, He revealed and removed from me an origin of trauma within that caused me to be 'driven' in many areas. I had perceived this character trait as a strength. Focused, zealous for the Kingdom of God, but under pressure, it blindsided me from being fully aware of the leading of the Holy Spirit.
To be a vessel of His glory, it will no longer be enough to give Him precedence; He is bringing us into experiential awareness of Himself – His holy and mighty presence in us – bringing a paradigm shift in our seeing and being. There will be quick and clean judgment against all things in our lives that are not bringing Him glory, for the emergence of vessels of glory in the earth. It may be painful but the reward is great.

"And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (Eph. 4:30, KJV)
Eminence and Immanence
As I searched out the meaning of eminence, I realized that there are three words that sound the same: "eminence," "imminence" and "immanence." Through this, Holy Spirit brought me into a deeper revelation of what the Lord was saying, emphasizing eminence and immanence.
Webster's dictionary defines eminence as a "high rank," "position of prominence or superiority" and "elevation." In the Greek language, eminence (huperoche) also includes excellence. In the Hebrew language, eminence (netsach) means "everlasting," "glory," "splendor" and "excel." Clearly this describes God.
Immanence is the quality or state of being immanent – indwelling, inherent. It is a word describing a quality belonging to the nature of someone; yet being within the limits of possible experience or knowledge, versus transcendent.
Holy Spirit revealed to me that although God's holiness is eminent (superior, high ranking, sacred), it is also immanent (indwelling; belonging to His nature and ours, as He is in us), and He desires us to experience His holiness in us as reality. "Be ye holy, even as I am holy." The Holy Spirit of God indwells our very being, and together, the Church is being built into a holy temple in the Lord, a dwelling place of God in the spirit (Eph. 2:21-22).
For many months He has been having me dive deep into scriptures relating to the glory of the indwelling Christ, how we are filled with His glory and how sin is the outcome of falling short of living from the reality of the indwelling of His glory. I have been praying daily, for years, that He would remove anything hindering His glory from being seen and known. And He is faithful to do that. The Lord wants us to walk in a greater revelation of being temples of the Holy Spirit of God – carriers of His glory, His holiness.
"Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ)." (Phil. 2:12, AMPC)
We are in such dark times, and oh how the world needs to see the glory of the Lord (in and through us). Being holy is recognizing we are set apart for Him and allowing Him free rein in our lives so that He will be made known.
"I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes." (Ez. 36:23, HNV)
2nd Vision: "I AM Your Banner; I AM Your Victory!"
I went into a second vision. I saw a plaque with a dark background and silver engraving on the edges. There were two angels hovering over something; suddenly I realized that it was me! I heard, "I AM your banner; I AM your victory!"
The immediate sense I had when He spoke this was that there are certain battles that only our almighty God and His ministering angels can overcome. This was certainly true in my case! We will be faced with situations where our usual spiritual warfare tactics will not work.
Many are overwhelmed at the amount of evil that is being uncovered and manifesting in the earth. There has been an unleashing from the pit of Hell, it seems, and God is saying, "I AM your banner; I AM your victory; I AM your deliverance. Keep your eyes on Me. The battle is Mine. I Myself am your victory!"
The victory was written in the book, preordained and won by Christ before time began. The Word of God, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, shall prevail. He will be seen as Lord of all! We are in the days foretold by the prophet Daniel. Stay the course. Surrender not to the enemy, but to our God!
"Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." (Dan. 12:10, NKJV)
Burdens Are Being Removed
The Lord gave me the following passage of Scripture as I meditated on His being my banner, my victory:
"Thou hast given a banner to them that fear Thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. That Thy beloved may be delivered; save with Thy right hand, and hear me. God hath spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth... Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies." The root word for Shechem, according to Strong's Concordance, means "place of burdens." To mete out means "stretch" and "extend." The root word for valley means "depth" and "be profound," while Succoth is the place of "booths"; the place where we meet with God.
Our speaking engagement actually took place on the seventh and eighth day of Succoth/Tabernacles. The Lord spoke to me that from that seventh day of completion and eighth day of new beginnings, He would bring deep revelation to the Body of Christ of our being His dwelling place. In the place of His dwelling, doing all that we do from a place of communion with Him, the heavy burden is removed. He is dividing our burdens and removing the heavy yoke that the enemy has put us under. He is bringing a paradigm shift and extending time with Him to bring deep and profound revelation of the reality of His indwelling!
One of the personal things that the Lord did during this trial was to make it impossible for us to fine-tune what we had prepared. I was brought to a place where I had no strength or ability of my own. I had to rely completely on Him, allowing Him free rein during ministry; and He brought forth a mighty victory as He was seen and experienced as the Lord of glory. This is what He is desiring in these end times. He is removing the heavy yoke of self-reliance and performance-driven ministry so that He will receive all the glory!
3rd Vision: His 'Revealing' Brings forth His Healing
I went into a third vision. There was a lot of angelic activity; angels' wings shimmered with bright silver edging and brought flashes of light over me. When I asked what this was, Holy Spirit revealed that they were healing my nervous system. I then heard, "In this place you will have peace."
"The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts." (Hag. 2:9, KJV)
The word "peace" (in Strong's Concordance) is shalom and means "health," "soundness," "prosperity" and "wholly." God is doing a purifying work in His people for His glory to be seen, but also to bring us into the fullness of His shalom. The silver edging on the plaque in the second vision, and on the angels' wings in the third vision, represents redemption. One of the roles of angels is to minister to the heirs of righteousness (Heb. 1:14), assisting in the Lord's work of redemption. Know this: there are angels that are assigned to you, and they will minister to you as you allow the Lord to have His way!
In my case, the Lord sent His angels to do a mighty work in me; He brought a divine interruption to an attack on my optic nerve (unbeknownst to me at the time, but later diagnosed by the doctor). Had the Lord not intervened, I could have gone blind in one eye. I believe that the Lord is opening up my spiritual sight to greater realms; for what the enemy means for harm, God will turn to good. He works all things together for good to those that love Him and are called according to purpose (Rom. 8:28).
The devil is a liar – the father of lies. I believe that whatever he brings is a perversion or the outright opposite of what God wants to do in our lives! Ask the Lord what He is doing in the midst of your pain, and when you are questioning those things that you do not understand!
Be encouraged; no matter what the trial, if you surrender and submit to the Lord, He will be your banner and your victory! He is doing a purifying work to bring you into a higher and deeper level of ministry. "For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things..." (Rom. 11:36)!
I heard, "I am purging for My glorious emerging; I am revealing to bring healing. I will bring a fresh infilling to those who remain submissive and willing. Stay under My hand for I am the Great Physician; all that I do is with perfect precision, to send you forth with a new commission."
