Kevin Zadai with Sister Ruth Carneal: "Accessing the Glory Through God's Word"

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

God loves speaking to us through HIS WORD...and it's the surefire way of hearing from Him in ALL circumstances.

This is a great reminder from Kevin Zadai as he says:

Sometimes we forget that the written Word is one of the most important access points to the glory that we have been given. While we wait to hear from the Lord, we should also be searching the Scriptures daily for the answers we seek.

I couldn't agree more. Read the rest of this article to discover valuable keys to accessing His glory. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Jesus often said, "It is written," but how many people bother to ask, "What is written and where do I find it?"

We want to know and can begin to know the Lord by studying His written Word. We can attend church, but we have to take time to turn those Bible pages ourselves in order to learn what God wants to say to us.

Sometimes we forget that the written Word is one of the most important access points to the glory that we have been given. While we wait to hear from the Lord, we should also be searching the Scriptures daily for the answers we seek.

A Key to Accessing the Glory

We can see that a key to being ready to move in the glory is to eat of the Word every day. We need to read our Bible daily. Some people want to live on one "meal" a week, usually on the weekend.

Sister Ruth, co-author of my book, Stories from the Glory, and I both agree that you can't do it. You just can't do it. You won't live. God won't let you. If He has to follow you with His Word, He will make sure you eat of it. His Word is life itself. What we eat or don't eat is important.

Learn of Him. When you read the Word, you are reading about who He is. And because you take the time to study Him, as you read the Holy Spirit will begin to give you revelation through the Word. He will open, expand, and overtake your spirit. If you allow His Spirit to overtake you, He will take you into those realms He has placed in your heart. God puts realms into our heart.

God Will Use What We Learn

We can read all the stories, like those about Paul, Peter, John, James, Philip, and Stephen. We can learn the apostles in alphabetical order and all of the tribes. It's easy. God will use what we learn. (Photo via Hippopx)

Sister Ruth told me that she learned all of the books in the Bible. Then she learned how many chapters were in each book. Do you know what the Lord did? Here's what she told me.

One evening, she was traveling to Texas when she decided to stop at a church. The pastor said, "Does anybody know all the books in the Bible?" She raised her hand and shared what she knew. God will use what we study and learn. It doesn't matter how small it is. He will use it in our life, in some measure.

The Word Is a Lamp Unto Our Feet

We must have that constant association with the Lord and seek His desire in every situation. Seek His will and focus on what He wants you to do. You will do simple and great things. It doesn't really matter. Once we know His will, we simply obey Him. We go and do.

Jesus told us that we can find all we need in the Word. (Study John 15:7 and 2 Peter 1:3.) He was saying, "These are the important things, so put the emphasis on what is important." Focus on Him and you will never fail to walk where He is leading you. The Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105).

Speak in Tongues

I have learned that we are to pray to step into the river of glory. Pray more in the Spirit, in your supernatural language, in tongues. If you do not yet have the gift of tongues, then be certain to give your life to the Lord and ask Him for this gift.

Tongues are a private, supernatural language that is between you and God. The enemy has no ability to interfere with or operate in a supernatural prayer environment. When we pray and speak and sing in tongues, we are praying great mysteries. We are praying forth our destiny.

Focus on Him

It doesn't matter what goes on politically or what you hear about the world; remain focused on God at all times. Focus on the Lord when you pray. Focus on Him when you read the Word. Focus on Him when you worship. Focus on Him in all that you do.

Abide in the Word

God will speak to you as you meditate upon His Word. There is life in every word. You make it come alive by reading it, speaking it, and applying it to your life. God is Spirit. He operates in His Word.

Don't fall short of what God wants you to do. Remain in the Word. It's not just about knowing the Word. We are to abide in the Word until it comes alive in us. We become filled with the presence of the Lord. His words are life, and life more abundantly (John 10:10). (Photo via Rawpixel)

The Time Is Short

More than ever before, it is critical for every person to know the Lord. Time is short and eternity is approaching. Judgment Day is coming soon. Are we ready to stand before the Lord? We need to ensure that we know Him and that He knows us. We don't want to hear, "I never knew you" (Matthew 7:23).

There are doors that God will open. He will absolutely astound you. He has a purpose for you in His heart. You will be so amazed. He will thrill you with the way He works. He said, "These things will be added to you, if you seek Him" (Matthew 6:33, paraphrased). If you seek what He wants and what pleases Him, you will be busy night and day, doing the Lord's work until He comes.

The Word Is God's Testimony

Acquaint yourself with God in the usual ways and in new and unusual ways. Go after Him. Wait upon Him. Ask Him something you don't understand and let Him work it out in your spirit. Be the testimony of who He wants you to be. You want to have a testimony. The Word is God's testimony.

In the Beginning...

In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). If you want to know where you are supposed to be going, it's helpful to look back "in the beginning" so that you can begin anew.

It is only when we humble ourselves and pray that God says that He will hear from Heaven (2 Chronicles 7:14). When you draw near to Him (especially in His Word), He will draw near to you through the glory realm.

Kevin Zadai, ThD is dedicated to training Christians to live and operate in two realms at once – the supernatural and the natural. Called to ministry at age 10, he attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where he received a bachelor degree in theology. Later, Kevin received training in missions at Rhema Bible College. At age 31, during a routine surgery, he found himself on the 'other side of the veil' with Jesus in a heavenly visitation that forever marked his life. This encounter ushered his ministry into new dimensions of power, activation and impartation. Kevin is retired after being employed by Southwest Airlines for 29 years; he and his wife, Kathi, reside in New Orleans, Louisiana and are ordained by Dr. Jesse and Dr. Cathy Duplantis.
