Be a Torch Carrier
Recently the Lord spoke to my spirit while I was resting and said, "Torchwood Court, 1321 Torchwood Court, Torch Carriers." He repeated it again, and the Holy Spirit told me to look up 1321 (or 13:21) in Scripture (which I will share about below). Torchwood Court is the street I grew up on, and 1321 was part of the house numbers. I hadn't thought about it in a very long time, until the Lord spoke this to me.
When He said "Torch Carriers," I believe He was saying this to us: It is the time for the fire of God, in this generation, NOW! Now He is revealing Himself as the pillar of fire. He is depositing His strength, guidance and love in us. He will not leave us, but He will protect us, go before us and light up the path. For this generation is to be taken into the next move of God!
It Is the Glory of Kings to Search Out a Matter
When the Lord drops revelation into my spirit, I first go into wonder and awe at what He tells me. It circles around in my spirit and I take a deep breath as I realize the creator of the universe just spoke to me. It takes a little while for my mind to focus on anything other than Him and to start studying and looking deeper into what He just said, because my heart is taken away by His voice. The Bible says in Proverbs 25:2, "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out."
So I started my journey on what the Lord was wanting me to know.
A Pillar by Night
I looked up Exodus 13:21, which reads: "And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night."
In the Greek, the word "night" literally means:
• the time for deeds of sin and shame
• the time of moral stupidity and darkness
• the time when the weary and also the drunken give themselves up to slumber
That caught my attention, and I knew the Lord was speaking more than just about my street I grew up on.
I then looked up the word "pillar," which (in the Greek) comes from the word "amad," meaning:
• insurrection
• stand
• uproar
The Holy Spirit said, "I desire for an uproar and uprising to begin in My children, for the things of God to come forth." The Lord then led me to Revelation 3:12 which reads: "For the one who is victorious, I will make you to be a pillar in the sanctuary of My God, permanently secure..."
The word "pillar" (above) means a pillar of fire.
We Are Pillars of Fire
God is making us into pillars of fire who will blaze bright and bring an uproar to the old way of doing things, man's way. He desires for us to shine and be permanently secure as He leads us during the 'night' times – the times of darkness upon the earth.
He will ignite you to stand strong and be courageous as He guides you into all truth. His glory is the result of such an uprising, as it says in Isaiah 4:5-6 (TPT):
"Then Yahweh will create over all of Mount Zion and over every gathering a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night. And all this manifestation of dazzling glory will spread over them like a wedding canopy. It will be a tabernacle as a shade from the scorching heat of the day and a safe shelter to protect them from the storm and rain." (Photo via Unsplash)
He will spread His glory over His children as a tabernacle, a canopy of His love for His Bride.
So be strong in the might of the Lord as He is leading and guiding us through the night, filling us with His Spirit to overcome the darkness. Let the pillar of fire lead you to travel through the night, for the Lord goes before you and will be with you!
