Ella Onakoya: "Defeat the 'Flies of Destruction' with God's Strategies"

Ella recently had a dream about "flies" which represented destruction and evil plans, and God showed her how to turn it all around.

Ella makes this statement:

While remaining in watchful prayer, we should also be encouraged to trust in the name of Jesus, which can overpower all the enemy's plans as we stand in faith. Prophetically, I want to release this encouragement to you: Strategies and assignments are being given to us by Heaven to destroy evil on the earth.

On the morning of September 30, 2021, the Lord gave me a dream. In the dream, I was in a room, but was then transported into a different room. In this second room, I saw a fly, and it became apparent to me that my assignment was to destroy it, because I knew its assignment was to cause evil and destruction in that specific region.

Supernatural power was then given to me to destroy the fly. But afterward—as I rejoiced, thinking the fly was dead—a woman (who seemed like a messenger from Heaven) told me that the fly was not completely dead, and that I should destroy it, ensuring it was fully dead. As I looked at the fly, it started to recover...Making my way toward it, I saw that it was beginning to regain strength as it lifted itself up slowly, making attempts to fly away and escape.

Our Keys to Victory: Authority, Dexterity and Relentless Pursuit

I woke up from the dream hearing the words "dexterity" and "relentless pursuit." Why did I hear these words? Because the enemy is constantly changing his form, appearance and strategy, and we must have dexterity (skill, readiness and quickness) to adapt to his ever-changing strategies. We must relentlessly pursue him.

As I started to pray, asking the Lord to destroy all that the fly represented, I heard Him say that I was to destroy it. I understood the Lord's instructions to mean that His authority and power had been given to us.

I was also given the Scripture 2 Kings 13:15-18, where Joash, king of Israel, was given instructions by the prophet Elisha to strike the ground with the "arrow of victory"; but he only struck it three times. Elisha told Joash that he should have struck it five or six more times, for then he would have had complete victory.

I feel this dream is a warning yet also an encouragement to all of us to do all that we can to pursue victory. Though power belongs to God, He has given us authority to win battles and be victorious in His name. How many times have we stopped short of total victory, when contending a little longer would have secured the victory we have been waiting for? (Photo via Unsplash)

Strategies and Assignments to Destroy the Flies of Beelzebub

It is interesting that this 'evil' in my dream was represented by a fly. One of the names of the enemy is Beelzebub, which means "lord of the flies." These "flies" are demonic beings, or strategies of the enemy, such as deception, death, terrorism, evil government policies, traps of folly sent to hinder our anointing, and so much more.

While remaining in watchful prayer, we should also be encouraged to trust in the name of Jesus, which can overpower all the enemy's plans as we stand in faith. Prophetically, I want to release this encouragement to you: Strategies and assignments are being given to us by Heaven to destroy evil on the earth.

Here are just a few examples of strategies and assignments that the Lord has been releasing in this hour:

1. Taking Out Flies of Terrorism

The Lord had been speaking to me about praying against an ISIS resurgence. We are to watch in prayer, especially with the recent situation in Afghanistan. Although ISIS has been mostly well-contained within the middle east, there have been some attacks in Europe.

Recently, the Lord gave me a dream which I released on Facebook on August 23, 2021. In this dream, a woman (who I believe to be an angelic messenger) came into a house that I was staying at with some other Believers. This messenger came specifically to alert a German Believer among us to pray to avert, or take care of, a terrorist situation in Germany. After sharing my dream on Facebook, a leader from Germany saw it and later wrote to me saying that in obedience to the word I posted, she had raised up a "prayer watchmen network" in Germany—specifically to thwart and avert ISIS attacks. By doing this, she had demonstrated her authority in prayer to avert what was not of the Lord.

Just as the Lord told me to destroy the fly in my dream with the authority given to me, He is also saying to many others: "Authority has been given to you to remove the evil attacks of the enemy."

2. Dealing with Obstacles That Hinder the Kingdom

I believe one of the plans of the enemy to bring world-wide division, strife, fear, and unease is the agenda of mandatory vaccine passports. While I believe in the free will and rights of people to be able to choose the COVID vaccine (if they want to), the coercion with the various, compulsory vaccine mandates is surely an agenda we should be all be wary of and pray against.

As an itinerant minister who has been called to travel (but has NOT been led by the Lord to take the COVID vaccine), the Lord has instructed me to move with dexterity and in prayer whenever I hear news of impending vaccine passport mandates in the places I've been called minister. I have not waited until they occur. The Lord has directed me to pray in a timely manner—with authority—that no mandate would prevent me from traveling to the places He has prepared for me. As a result of these prayers (I believe), many nations are now allowing those who are unvaccinated the option of traveling internationally with just a negative COVID test result. I have therefore been able to travel and minister without the requisite of a vaccine! (Photo via Pixabay)

3. Breaking Off the Assignments of Infirmity, Death and Destruction

There is an endless list of demonic entities and strategies constantly being released into lives and nations by the one called Beelzebub. We are not to fear or even focus on these evils. We are to fix our eyes on Jesus. However, while our focus is to remain on Jesus, when God opens ours eyes to see assignments of the enemy and the mandates given to us to destroy them, we must be vigilant to fulfill these mandates in a timely manner, as we arise to release healing, salvation and deliverance in lives and nations. The anointing is the key to breaking off these assignments of infirmity.

Recently while ministering at a conference in Spain, I was praying for a woman who had been attacked by a spirit of infirmity. She wept as she described an intense pain in her chest that felt as if someone was continually punching her. I prayed in tongues over her, and later she told me that as I prayed, the pain in her chest got fainter and fainter until it was completely gone. The power of the Holy Spirit had broken that assignment of infirmity.

Our exercised authority releases anointing to free those who are experiencing attacks.

4. Walking in Heavenly Wisdom

This is also a season to walk in heavenly wisdom, so that the calling and anointing on our lives will not be hindered. As Ecclesiastes 10:1 says: "As dead flies bring a stench to the perfumer's oil, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor." Wisdom will be the key to prevailing against hidden traps of the enemy!

I encourage you to arise in relentless pursuit—with full authority—to overcome and receive victory against the wiles of the enemy; for this is the season where the Lord is urging us arise and move with the authority and dexterity given to us to pursue and receive total victory in His name.
