Prophetic word released on September 5, 2021:
Yesterday in my prayer room, I was allowing the Father to just love on me. Feeling overwhelmed, pressed, and slightly anxious, I knew what I needed was His love alone to wash over me and give me new perspective.
While in this place of encountering His steadfast love, I went into a vision. I saw all around me green vines and leaves, and as odd as it sounds, I knew that I was a fruit of some sort, attached to the vine. I could feel life flowing from the vine into me, yet I still felt a little like I was tender and drooping – perhaps a bit wilted after a long, scorching season. I was definitely attached to the vine (John 15) and the colors of my fruit were still quite vivid, but I had a feeling of being tired and emotionally depleted.
A Sky Full of Dragonflies
As the vision continued, I saw that there was a nasty little worm poking its head from around a big leaf in front of me. The worm looked directly at me, and I knew that it was about to move toward me to begin eating away at my fruit. But then...within seconds of the worm's appearance, I LIFTED MY EYES and saw that the sky had filled with dozens upon dozens of DRAGONFLIES! Several dragonflies landed near me and began picking off the worm, while others went to the vine and leaves and began to eat off the aphids and mosquitoes that had begun to eat the sap from the plant I was attached to.
The vision of these dragonflies was magnificent. When I came out of the vision, I was lying on my floor weeping and overwhelmed by the GOODNESS of God. Immediately after receiving this life-giving vision, I checked my phone and had two text messages from dear friends who separately had it on their hearts to pray for me and encourage me! I knew the Lord was saying to not fear because I am not alone, and HELP IS ON THE WAY.
Lift Up Your Eyes! Help Is On the Way
"Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from Me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with My strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with My victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:10 TPT)
Dragonflies are significant because, in the natural, they eat the bad bugs and worms that come to suck the life from fruit plants. There are vegetable gardeners across parts of the globe who actually do whatever they can to ensure dragonflies stay in their gardens so that the plants will remain healthy and produce fruit.
BE ENCOURAGED! I felt the Lord say that this is an encouragement to the Body of Christ right now. Many are connected to the vine and bearing good fruit, but feeling slightly withered in some way. The aphids of the world seem never-ending at times, and the scorching heat of the fire that many have been walking through has felt nearly unbearable. But God WILL NOT LEAVE YOU. He has called you to that place, and He will bring help at just the right time. Lift up your eyes!
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made Heaven and Earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore." (Psalm 121 NKJV)
Like Honey to the Soul and Health to the Body
I believe that the dragonflies in this vision represent the gifts of exhortation, encouragement, comfort and edification. In fact, 1 Corinthians 14:3 calls this one of the roles of the prophet ("But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men"). Whether you consider yourself "prophetic" or not, Romans 12:10 calls all Believers to "outdo one another" in love and honor. Words of encouragement and life are absolutely necessary in this era, even if it appears counter-cultural at times. (Photo via Pixabay)
Today, I invite you into this Kingdom assignment, to push past your own weariness in this season and rise up to encourage and comfort others. Proverbs 11:25 says that the person who refreshes others will be refreshed himself. Speaking life over other Believers, Proverbs 16:24 says, is like sweet honey to the soul and health to the body. What an opportunity to build one another up and advance the Kingdom, in Jesus' mighty name!
For those who have been in the fire and feel depleted, I release over you both the encouragement and help from Heaven that you need. I declare HELP to you, and words of life from the least likely places. I ask the Lord to strengthen you on the inside, to have the courage and faith to trust that the Lord is not sleeping nor slumbering, but He is sending everything you need as you stay connected to His vine.
You are not alone. Just as the Lord saw fit to create dragonflies for gardens in the natural, how much greater is His love for YOU – His most valuable creation. Your "dragonflies" are on the way. Keep your eyes lifted up!
