Now I will arise, says the Lord

"For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise," says the LORD; "I will set him in the safety for which he yearns." Psalm 12:5 NKJV

Israel has been under attack. Until the recent ceasefire, Hamas launched over 4,000 rockets at Israel in just two weeks. Many were fearful to even go out of their houses. Today there are reports of militants continuing to stage smaller attacks and rearming, readying missiles to fire into Israel's heartland once again.

The people of Israel need our help and prayers desperately.

Some Israeli children still fear going to sleep at night because they are scared a missile will hit their home. Other elderly are staying indoors to stay safe. Many of these families are weighed down with the question of "What is next?"

On top of that, is the economic impact of last month's constant bombardment from Gaza, combined with the continued onslaught as hundreds of acres of orchards and fields are burned by terrorist "fire kites" and improvised firebombs.

Many in Israel feel all alone and are struggling to feed their families. Except for a remnant of courageous voices, many nations have turned their back on God's people and land and have erroneously labeled the innocent victims of terror as the cause of the violence.

But there is hope...

God promised in His Word that He would arise and set those who are "under oppression" and "in need" in safety, and He is inviting you and me to be a part of this promise fulfilled.
