 Decades ago, I went through a tough, life-changing time in which I felt both abandoned and betrayed. Back then, a prophet and pastor I really love said:
"Steve, God is not all that interested in vindicating you. He instead wants to use this experience to help you grow in your walk with the Lord."
Years later, as it turned out, I was not only vindicated but I was PUBLICLY VINDICATED. It was so very healing and it was "sweet to my soul."
So, I asked this prophet and pastor about how or why this happened, when he said that God was not all that interested in vindicating me.
He responded, "Steve, I didn't say He would not vindicate you. I said He was not PRIMARILY interested in vindicating you, but He was going after your life lessons to build character."
OK, so I got the point, but I'm here to tell you, dear saint, that while it IS TRUE that God's primary interest is not in vindicating you, it IS SIMULTANEOUSLY TRUE that for many of you reading this, God is about to ENJOY vindicating you!
And it will be sweet to your soul!

"This Is Your Season of Restitution & Vindication"

Note from Anita Alexander: This is not a political article, but a word to encourage those who have stood, for decades and recent years, through the fires of persecution and great trial which has, in some cases, caused them to suffer great loss at the pursuit of obedience and allegiance to their faith. IT'S TIME.
Prophetic word posted on January 24, 2021:
There were two words I heard tonight while praying in the spirit: RESTITUTION and VINDICATION.
 Restitution: "an act of restoring or a condition of being restored."
a) a restoration of something to its RIGHTFUL owner.
b) a LEGAL action serving to cause restoration of a previous state.
Vindication: "to show something to have been right or true, or to show someone to be free from guilt or blame." (Photo via Piqsels)
"To show" means to reveal or to be plainly seen.
The Lord says, "Whatever is done and said in secret will be brought out into the light" (see Luke 12:2-3). "Whatever" means whatever – good or bad. This is the hour where the righteous will be vindicated and evil will be exposed. For EVERYTHING that has been done in secret is going to be "plainly seen."
Scapegoats Go Free
Tonight while praying, I felt the Lord's righteous justice towards those who have been treated as scapegoats because they have stood for righteousness and purity. There are many who have suffered ridicule, persecution and rejection because they are pure in heart and have not chosen the road of partaking in the leaven of the Pharisees. Wearing the hypocritical mask is easy as it can keep the peace with those who – religious or otherwise – will make you pay if you disagree with them. But to stand and be true to your convictions has a cost and it can cost you everything, even that which is dear.
However, I believe many who have stood true in this last season (for some even decades) are being set free from the scapegoat cycle and are coming into a space of vindication and honor. No longer will they wear the blame of those who won't own their stuff and live under the accusations of lies. This doesn't mean persecution will now evade them, but it means persecution will no longer stop them, make them hobble, or paralyze them from moving forward.
 I believe this is the season where legal decrees are being made in the courts of Heaven, serving sentences on lies and accusations, and recompense and restoration for loss. (Photo via Flickr)
A Decree of Restitution
Let the thief steal no more, and may he be forced to pay back seven-fold restitution. May marriages be restored, businesses recovered, fortunes returned, family relationships healed, set right and aligned in truth; may prodigals be restored back to the Father, false balances be corrected, scapegoats set free, addictions destroyed, infirmities loosed, witchcrafts dissolved, wrongs made right – and while we are at it, may Jezebel be completely overthrown!
I decree Isaiah 61:7: "Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs."
Let It Be.
