From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve Shultz

Dear Saints of God,

So 2020 found MILLIONS of us stuck in our homes. We "felt" we were stuck, but to the last one of you reading this, YOU KNOW what God did to UNSTICK you during your "stuck" time, am I right?

You NOW realize that what satan meant for evil, God totally used for good in your life and in the LIVES of all of God's people.

Now, it's a new day and God's prophets, almost to the last man and woman, are calling this not a new day but A NEW ERA ON EARTH.

God is up to amazing things, unlike anything we've ever seen.

Now as part of this word below, Madeline James says:

"I see ministries having to upgrade and acquire new buildings because the harvest is increasing. This year miracles will increase dramatically."

And:

"Many will begin to encounter the 'God of Miracles.' Unprecedented miracles will mark 2021."

I'd hang on for a wild and great ride if I were you. This is going to be an amazing year! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Enjoy!

Steve

Change Is in the Air

As we were getting ready to step into 2021, I heard the Spirit of God say, "Change is in the air!" 2020 was a year of divine reset and pause on every level. At the beginning of 2020, I saw the Lord put His hand on a big, red button that said "R-E-S-E-T." God used that year as time of resetting us back to divine purpose. Everything that could be shaken has been shaken to some degree. Now, as we've entered into 2021, I see the Lord's hand being taken off the "RESET" button and hitting the "GO" button.

Many people have been in a holding pattern. A holding pattern is a state of waiting or suspended activity or progress. Over the past couple of weeks, my dreams have been filled with change, transition, "the new," and taking off. Don't miss the shift. It's time to ready yourself to take off again in 2021! Don't get left behind. God is moving you out of the "stuck" place.

As we continue into 2021, for those who have remained steadfast and faithful, the Lord is enlarging you and your influence. I see ministries having to upgrade and acquire new buildings because the harvest is increasing. This year miracles will increase dramatically. Many will begin to encounter the "God of Miracles." Unprecedented miracles will mark 2021.

In the beginning of December 2020, I had a dream where the Church at large was being renovated and repaired; new coats of paint were being put on, and the cupboards were being cleaned out. That which was was toxic and tainted – served out to the Body of Christ in previous eras, seasons, and movements – the Lord is cleaning up. A new level of purity is coming forth in the Body of Christ.

Continue to expect a changing of the guard, a raising up of the new, and a bringing down of the old. More generals will be going home to the Lord. A new era will continue to be ushered in 2021. Behold, God is doing a new thing, and it's here (Isaiah 43:18-19). Don't look to former or past things; we are moving forward.

Restoration and Restitution

As I was praying into 2021, I was reminded of Jeremiah 29:11-14. In this passage God makes a declaration over Israel while they're in captivity and declares, "For I know the plans I have for you...plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope...I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and places where I banished you..." (Jeremiah 29:11, 14).

"Restore," in this passage in the Hebrew, means to "bring back, restore, refresh, repair." As I prayed into this, I saw the Lord gathering all the pieces of hearts, minds, emotions and bodies that were shattered in this past season. Many have felt fractured and broken in some way.

2021 will be a time of restoration for many. In God there is nothing missing or broken. Not only will it be a time of restoration, it will be a time of restitution. Where the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), the Lord is saying enough is enough.

This is the hour of the justice of God. Every area that the enemy has touched or taken, the Lord is releasing restitution. Take courage, beloved, there are verdicts from the courtroom of Heaven which being rendered in your favor. You will see them manifest in this new year.

The Rebuilding

During a time of prayer last August, the Lord began to speak to me about 2021. I began to hear the Scripture Isaiah 61:4 in my spirit: "They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations." 2020 was a year where the Lord allowed exposure and the tearing down of that which cannot go into the new. I had a dream in June 2020 where the Lord showed me He was bringing down those in high places that have exalted themselves above the Lord. There is more exposure coming to those in places of influence.

(Below are excerpts from a word God gave me in how we are to position ourselves for 2021/5781, published by the Elijah List on September 14, 2020.)

Prepare to Build and to Plant

As this storm begins to shift, we'll begin to see the things that need to be rebuilt and repaired.

Isaiah 58:12 AMP declares, "And your people will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up and restore the age-old foundations [of buildings that have been laid waste]; you will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings." What is a ruin? The word "ruin" is "a state of decay or disintegration (or an object in that state); a destroyed or decayed building, town, etc.; to reduce to ruin; collapse" (dictionary.com).

Part of the Jeremiah 1:10 mandate is to tear down and uproot, but we often miss the part where it says we are to build and plant where things have been uprooted. When we fail to repair or fill the gaps again, it gives the enemy opportunity to build and plant what he wants.

As we continue through 2021, and further into the Hebrew year 5781, it's important we understand the significance of the season.

One of the word pictures for 5781 is represented through the ox. Prophetically, an ox represents strength, the apostolic grace, and the ability to carry the burden. Even in the midst of all that's going on there will be a grace to build and advance. Remember, natural seasons don't dictate the spiritual seasons.

As I pressed into this more, the Lord reminded me of the story of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was the king's cupbearer. His heart was troubled when he heard the news of his people being in exile and the wall of Jerusalem left in devastation.

"They said to me, 'The remnant in the province, who survived the exile, are in great trouble and disgrace. Jerusalem's wall has been broken down, and its gates have been burned.'" (Nehemiah 1:3 CSB)

Know that when you begin to build and advance, there will be opposition; there will be those who don't have your heart and will come against you to distract you. This was true for Nehemiah. As he began to asses the damage, Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem came against Nehemiah. They began to mock and accuse him of being in rebellion to the king (Nehemiah 2). Radical obedience will look like rebellion to those who don't understand. When you begin to build, its important to know your enemy or opposition (Ephesians 6:12).

Sanballats carry a spirit of distraction and are an enemy in secret. Sanballats are those who are wolves in sheep's clothing. Sanballat was under the rule of the king with Nehemiah, but he hated him. You must be able to recognize and discern your Judas. Sanballats carry a religious spirit. When God increases your influence in Heaven and upon the earth, the devil will send people into your life with the intent to derail you from your destiny. Be discerning. (Photo via Piqsels)

Tobias means "the Lord is good." When building, be aware of those you call family in the Lord that have lost the understanding for where you're going. As you advance, there will be those who don't have the capacity to go with you. The enemy can manipulate good people into becoming the enemies of your destiny. Don't get bitter; bless them and move on. Sometimes you have to separate to multiply.

Geshem means "rain storm." Geshems are those who are your enemy in the open. Identifying the demonic resistance against you will help direct your warfare. Know and discern the principalities and strongholds in your regions so you can be effective.

Throughout the book of Nehemiah these three came against Nehemiah relentlessly. They tried to distracted him, scheme against him, slander and accuse him, and even plotted to kill him. God was faithful to keep Nehemiah and expose the plans of the enemy every time.

Nehemiah 4:14-16 says: "After I made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, 'Don't be afraid of them. Remember the great and awe-inspiring Lord, and fight for your countrymen, your sons and daughters, your wives and homes.'

"When our enemies heard that we knew their scheme and that God had frustrated it, every one of us returned to his own work on the wall. From that day on, half of my men did the work while the other half held spears, shields, bows, and armor..."

God was faithful to His people and protected them. Throughout Nehemiah it often says that the Lord strengthened their hands to do the work (Nehemiah 2:18); God is releasing a grace upon you to succeed and overcome. He will empower you to complete what He has put in your heart to do.
