Believers, let us remain focused on this fact – we serve a BIG God! And, we must choose to believe that nothing impossible whenever we factor God into every equation of our lives (Matthew 19:26). This includes whatever we might encounter individually, nationally, and even across the entire world. The Bible is full of situations where breakthrough appeared to be impossible, and yet, as God previously promised, His promises to His people always prevail.
God Is Our Healer
In the last two years, both my husband Mickey and I received miracles. Mickey was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a fatal cancer, and I was in the hospital with sepsis which was at the point of being fatal. Yet, God miraculously healed us both! The way that He healed both of us was unique, but what matters is that we were healed!
Mickey had to stand on His prophetic promises as God took two months to heal him. I, on the other hand, had the audible voice of God speak to me while I was having a CT scan. God healed my colon as He spoke audibly, and the technician witnessed the instant healing while performing the CT scan. I was amazed at how God's voice filled the room, and the technician was amazed at the CT scan. To God be all the glory!
God Has a Unique Plan for Healing and Deliverance
I believe, as I am writing this article, that we, as Believers, are experiencing something that the children of Israel came up against. It is not unusual for us to be challenged in the same way that Israel was challenged, and we are instructed by God to learn from their example (1 Corinthians 10:11). For several months now, at our church services in Bedford, Texas, I have been making prophetic declarations concerning crossing over and not allowing anything to hinder our faith concerning possessing our promises.
As Christians, we know we've been released from our previous "Egypts" and that Jesus paid the price for our freedom and deliverance. However, many of us, myself included, have found ourselves up against a wall! Just like Israel, we are being pursued by our enemy; evil threatens to overtake us and slay us. It appears as if a Red Sea stands before us and everything seems hopeless. And, unfortunately, just like the Israelites, some are murmuring about our circumstances, blaming our leaders (and God) and wanting to go back to Egypt.
But, God had a unique way to deliver His people. In Exodus 14:20-21, God instructed Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea. God caused the sea to go back, made the sea into dry land and divided the waters. The Israelites went into the midst of the sea, on the dry ground, and the waters became a wall. Wow! Think about it! A mighty wind split the sea and divided it in half. The waters which were meant to drown them were turned into a mighty wall to protect them and empower them to cross over into destiny!
Believer, the enemy may have pushed you up against a wall, but God has a unique plan for your deliverance! Sometimes, the only way that God will get rid of an enemy is through that enemy pursuing you to a Red Sea! Remember, the Red Sea destroyed the enemy (Pharaoh and his army) and not His people. I'm sure the Israelites were awestruck, amazed and overwhelmed as they witnessed this miraculous event – just as I was awestruck, amazed and overwhelmed when the technician told me that my colon was instantly healed DURING the scan of my colon! God could have healed my colon while in the hospital, but He had a unique way and a unique timing.
Deuteronomy 23:14 says, "...[T]he LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you..." Yes, He knows where you camp out-He will find you and deliver you!
We Are Battling the Spirit of Rahab as We Cross Over
While writing my book on the antichrist spirit (Conquering the Antichrist Spirit: Discerning and Defeating the Seducer that Binds Believers Today), I mentioned the spirit of Rahab. Previously, I had read over several passages where Rahab was mentioned, but suddenly the passages were highlighted to me because of the connection between the Rahab spirit and our "crossing over times" in 2021. Job 9:13 and 26:12 refer to this spirit as a very powerful monster of the sea:
"God will not turn back His anger; the [proud] helpers of Rahab [the arrogant monster of the sea] bow under Him." (Job 9:13 AMP)
"With His power He calmed the sea. With His insight He killed Rahab [the sea monster]." (Job 26:12 GW)
Isaiah 51:9-10 mentions Rahab as being an Egyptian god. Rahab represents powers of destruction and chaos.
"Awake, awake, put on strength and might, O arm of the LORD; awake as in the ancient days, as in the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab (Egypt) in pieces, who pierced the dragon [of Egypt]? Was it not You who dried up the Red Sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a pathway for the redeemed to cross over?" (Isaiah 51:9-10 AMP) (Photo via Pixabay)
Keep in mind that it's in the "sea." As Israel crossed over the sea, this was a spirit that was opposing their destiny and attempted to abort the destiny of a nation. As I write this article, there is much chaos in the world. But listen up, God is not threatened by chaos! In fact, the Bible is full of people, nations and kingdoms facing chaos. However, God will always have an agenda focused on establishing His Kingdom and nothing – not even chaos – can stop it. He is an unstoppable God!
God moved Israel out of chaos at the Red Sea and He will also do it for us today. In Psalm 89:10 (AMP), it explains how God uniquely moved on their behalf:
"You have broken Rahab (Egypt) in pieces; with Your mighty arm You have scattered Your enemies."
Though Moses stretched out his hand, it was God's hand that defeated the chaos that was caused by their enemy! Psalm 50:15 says, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you..." We are calling on God right now and He is hearing us.
We have witnessed much chaos in the last few years. We have witnessed a pandemic crisis, a national and worldly crisis, and many crises individually. The enemy has tried to pursue us to keep us from stepping into our destiny and fulfilling our assignments. BUT GOD has a unique plan to save and deliver.
We Are Now Aligning with God's Timetable and Purposes
Again, God promise is to deliver, but we must have His perspective on deliverance as He doesn't always view things as we do (Isaiah 55:8). His ways are higher and He thinks differently, but His promise is still a promise. Bottom line is this – we must align with God's timetable. Many times, God is telling us to wait for the promise. We want microwave answers and breakthroughs, yet God desires to use all things for His glory. In Acts 1, the people were told to wait in Jerusalem for the "power." Only 120 "waited" for that power that we today acknowledge as Pentecost. Power came to those who waited then and it is the same today; power falls upon those who have learned to wait on God.
Those who waited in the upper room witnessed power, fire and fulfillment. Peter acknowledged that it was a "fulfillment" of all that Joel had prophesied in Joel 2:28. If we learn to wait, the fire of God and the power of God will go forth and bring us to the place of great fulfillment. Expect to witness the fire of God in this season. Expect that fire to ignite us with a fresh passion, burning away all that needs cleansing and refining; thus, bringing an increased anointing. Expect increased anointings and mantles of authority to be released by His Spirit in this season.
Learning to wait – patiently wait – is also an important key at this time. It's important to maintain faith and to write the vision (your destiny and the promises God has given you) on the tablet of your heart. Though it might tarry, God promises that it will come to pass at an appointed time (Habakkuk 2:2-3). No one enjoys waiting, but during those "waits" know that God is uniquely devising a plan of deliverance.
Continue to Confront Jezebel
One of the most important and revelatory books I have written is Breaking the Threefold Demonic Cord: How to Discern and Defeat the Lies of Jezebel, Athaliah and Delilah, which exposes the spirits of Jezebel, her daughter, Athaliah, and Delilah. The spirit of Jezebel is so active again, today, that I will be doing another webinar on the spirit of Jezebel in February of this year. Yes, we are still at war as we continue to contend for our future. And, it's absolutely essential we learn these spirits' wicked seductions so that we can fully possess our promises and fulfill our destiny; but for now, let me remind you of a way that Jezebel can be defeated.
Revelation 2:18 is the passage where Jesus reveals Himself as "the Son of God, whose eyes are like a blazing fire..." It is in this passage that Jesus rebukes the church of Thyatira for tolerating Jezebel. Believers, once again there has been a toleration, a yielding to the Jezebel spirit. We've witnessed this in our nation, in the nations of the world, in our own lives and, yes, in our churches and businesses.
Tolerating Jezebel releases chaos, death, destruction, desolation, witchcraft and much more. But God is releasing His holy fire in this season to defeat the Jezebel spirit. Jezebel has raised her head once again, and the spirit of Athaliah is murdering the generations as never before. The spirit of Jezebel and her control of government is alarming. But God has a unique plan! Begin to pray now, if you have not been, for the fire of God to destroy, pull down and overthrow the territorial strongholds of a Jezebel spirit. I believe God's unique plan to defeat Jezebel is unfolding.
Agreeing with God
Though we might be contending with the enemy right now, we must still confess the breakthrough. Let me remind you that in September 2019, we entered the new Hebraic decade of Pey (meaning "the mouth"). There is power in our words. God is anointing our mouths to voice words that decree victory over every evil spirit that opposes us. When we agree with what God says (about ourselves, our nation, our families, etc.), He releases angels on assignment to empower us and answer our declarations and prayers. (Photo via Pixabay)
Expect angel armies to move on your behalf as you speak God's Word.
2021 is a year to agree with all that God says concerning our identity in Christ. Though we've been challenged with an identity crisis before, this is the year in which divine alignment must occur concerning our godly identity. As we agree with what He declares concerning our personal identity, we will witness a name change. Several people in the Bible received name changes. To name a few...Sarai's name (princess) was changed to Sarah (mother of many nations). Abram (father) became Abraham (father of many). And Simon's name (God has heard) became Peter (rock). These name changes occurred to establish them into a new identity which God desired them to embody and become.
Jacob was another who received a name change, and it came in the midst of great chaos and distress. His name meant "supplanter," and he was just that – a liar, deceiver, thief and supplanter. But, in the midst of what appeared to be chaos and a time of despair and great wrestling, he had a name change. The Lord changed his name from Jacob to Israel (meaning "he who has the power of God"). God was empowering him to become a man who knew God and knew God's power! No longer would Jacob need trickery to get ahead in life; he could now trust in God's power to release the blessings to him.
Believers, this is our time for name changes. As we cross over from chaos to victory, we are empowered to speak forth miracles, agree with Heaven and witness Heaven's best come to Earth. No longer will we be called desolate, for we are called the blessed of God. Our names are becoming the healed, the delivered, those who hope in their God. We possess an overcoming anointing as we behold Him and become changed into His divine image. We are moving from sickness to health, from poverty to prosperity – no longer abandoned but sons (Romans 8:14, 19)! We are in a season of understanding the fullness of sonship and possessing our inheritance with that sonship authority while seated in heavenly places.
Remember Lot's Wife!
It is a time to let go of our past, cross over and not look back. After crossing, Israel continued to murmur and complain while desiring to go back to Egypt. They would have rather returned to bondage than believe and trust God during their journey.
When God sought to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, the angels instructed Lot and his family to leave quickly and not look back! Yet, Lot's wife did look back, and therefore, she was turned into a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:17-26). By looking back at the evil cities, she betrayed all of her heart's secret longings for the previous perverted lifestyles.
Dear ones, it's time to let go of the past. If we grieve over (and resist letting go of) relationships or lifestyles that hinder our relationship with God, it's a sign of a compromised heart. Through the story of Lot, we witness another one of God's unique plans to deliver us. Many times, it involves letting go of something. It's time to let go of our past behavior, old belief systems, mindsets, etc.
It's time to put off the old man and put on the new. It's time to let go of old patterns of behavior and set our face like flint toward the plans of the Lord. Don't look back. Remember Lot's wife whenever you are attempted to go back. Believers, we cannot let the past continue to block our future. Let's move past our past. Let's all let go and grow to a new level.
Moving from Glory to Glory
2021 will be a year of moving from glory to glory. This will involve a commitment to remain focused and established in Him. He desires to shine through us.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
There are some translations that say, "being transformed from glory to glory." There's that word "transformation" again! As we are changed into His divine image, there is a process of transformation. As we take on our new identity in Christ, it involves transformation. And, transformation involves moving into different realms of His glory. Transformation is the process that a "worm" – a caterpillar – goes through to change into a butterfly. In Isaiah 41:14, God referred to Jacob as a worm. Why is that? Because a worm is lowly and has no glory on its own. But, with God, there is transformation in which God's glory can be fully seen.
Believers, be transformed today through the renewing of your minds. Know who you are in Christ. Arise and let His glory and love shine through you in 2021! You are an overcomer and you are crossing over!
Isaiah 60:1 (NIV), "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."
