Joshua Fowler: "Tell My People to Hold Fast!"

Just last year, a man, a non-Believer, decided to accuse us of breaking a contract.

We did NOT do that. But there was a misunderstanding. We attempted to work out a compromise, but instead he threatened a lawsuit, a huge settlement, and insisted he did not mind paying an attorney $600 an hour to go after us.

After many back and forth emails, I said by email, "Joe (not his real name), why are you trying to hurt us? We're a small ministry with a number of employees who have families to support. Why are trying to hurt us like this?"

He didn't respond. Silence.

Suddenly, the Lord spoke to me. It was not an audible voice but it was CLOSE. I say "close" because the Scripture flooding into me was so potent, I could not shake it.

Exodus 14:13 says, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again."

God was telling me through this verse (paraphrased): "See these enemies chasing you? Take a good look because after today, you will NEVER see them again."

Now, I've been known to doubt what I am hearing, but this time...THIS TIME...I was pretty certain I would not go back on this word.

And as it turned out, from that day to this, I've never heard one word. NOT ONE.

God is saying some similar things right now, not only about this election, but about many of your own enemies...

Since November 4th, I've received numerous calls and messages asking me what I'm hearing and seeing prophetically regarding the election. I've said, "It ain't over!" Many of these people have said, "We believe what you and other credible prophets have said." Then they ask, "Now, what can we do?"

Those who know me, known that I don't speak unless He speaks and says I'm to do so. So I've waited until now, and here's what I believe I'm to share:

Hold Fast!

I heard the Lord say, "Hold Fast. Tell My people to hold fast!"

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." (Hebrews 10:23 NKJV)

"And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.'" (Exodus 14:13-14 NKJV)

"Hezekiah trusted in, leaned on, and was confident in the Lord, the God of Israel; so that neither after him nor before him was any one of all the kings of Judah like him. For he clung and held fast to the Lord and ceased not to follow Him, but kept His commandments, as the Lord commanded Moses. And the Lord was with Hezekiah; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to serve him." (2 Kings 18:5-7 AMPC)

"Houd Vast" is a Dutch phrase, which literally means "hold fast." The frequent usage of this phrase eventually got it slurred down to "hou' vast" and later "avast" (see www.todayifoundout.com).

The meaning of "hold fast" seems obvious upon first impression, however, to a sailor, "fast" is a term meaning to make tight. On a ship a line (a rope) is considered "fast" when it is securely anchored. If a sailor was to make fast the line, it would mean to make the rope tight.

Over the years many seafarers have gotten tattoos on their knuckles so when they put their fists together it reads "HOLD FAST"! This became a common term among sea-folk around the late 17th century that means "stay true" and "hold tight."

Hold fast also means the following:

• to hold on to something securely, maintaining balance

• to stay put in one place, defending your position

• to secure one hand to the ship to protect yourself while using your free hand to help the general good of your shipmates

• to hold on to your beliefs and values; not wavering from your personal convictions and the truth

• the act of gripping strongly

• any device used to secure an object, such as an anchor, hook, clamp, etc.

• Biblically speaking, it means to stand still and hold your position.

I'm reminded of the old hymn, "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand." I believe these lyrics are a now word for Believers today.

"'You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.'

"And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the LORD, worshiping the LORD. Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with voices loud and high.

"So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, 'Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.'" (2 Chronicles 20:17-20 NKJV)

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19 NKJV)

I heard the Lord say:

"Now is not the time to concede. Now is not the time to throw in the towel. Now is not the time to lose heart. Don't grow weary in well doing. Now is the time for My People to hold fast. Hold fast to Me for I am the Anchor of Hope! Hold fast to My promises in My Word. Hold fast to your confession and convictions that are based on My Word. Hold fast to what I've spoken through My prophets. Hold fast, get a grip and stand your ground. Hold fast and remain true to what I've said. Hold fast, fear not, be bold, be strong, be courageous and be at peace, for I've got this and I've got you."
