You are invited to come up higher. This next year it is critical to press into the Lord for continued revelation, that you might become established and thrive—planted for Him like a banner over a kingdom!
An Open Door with Revelation
Sometimes the revelation the Lord gives me for a new year reminds me of looking through a kaleidoscope. As a young child, I remember looking through one in awe. For those of you too young to remember, a kaleidoscope is an instrument that contains loose bits of colored material (such as glass or plastic) between two flat plates and two plane mirrors, placed so that changes of position of the bits of material are reflected in an endless variety of patterns. As you hold it up to your eye, you point the tube toward light and then slowly turn it. When you turn the tube you can see different patterns of colors at the other end of the tube.
Recently, I felt the Lord revealed yet another "different" aspect of the year 5781/2021 to me—that it will become known as The Year of the Climbing Vegetation. I actually first began to hear the Lord speak of this as early as last May. As I prayed for revelation, it first came to me in the form of a dream; since then, I have prayed about it often, but it wasn't until September that I began to get some clarity. I felt like the Lord was prompting me to ask why things like this often happen in September.
The three major fall feasts on the Jewish religious calendar all occur in the month of Tishrei (September through October). Even if you don't celebrate or follow the Jewish feasts, there is great prophetic significance to these feasts, with much accompanying activity in the heavens. Together, these last three major fall feasts prophesy, or point toward, the Lord's second coming, just as the first four major feasts prophesied (and were fulfilled by) Jesus' first coming—which I believe explains why there is an "open Heaven" during this period, when much revelation concerning the upcoming year and personal destiny is given.
So it was somewhat of a surprise when the Lord began speaking to me about an open door with revelation after the month of Tishrei ended. It was not until the following month had begun (Cheshvan, which started October 19) that the Lord showed me an open door of revelation. (Photo via FreeDesignFile)
Revelation 4:1 (NKJV) says: "After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in Heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, 'Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.'"
I felt led to consider the numbers in 2021 relative to Revelation 4:1. By adding the first 3 numbers in the year you get 4, and you're left with 1—the numbers in Revelation 4:1. Much like when the light reflected in a kaleidoscope reveals a beautiful pattern, the light of the Lord just shown on that for me.
The Lord showed me this after the typical September period of an "open Heaven," which signifies to me that this "open door" period of revelation will be ongoing into 2021. There's something about climbing vegetation that speaks of thriving and establishment.
Friends, I believe in the next year it is critical that we continue pressing into the Lord for continued revelation, that we might become established and thrive—planted for Him like a banner over a kingdom!
Zechariah 9:16 (NKJV), "The Lord their God will save them in that day, as the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land."
A Thriving Royal Bride
As I mentioned earlier, the Lord first began to reveal more to me about climbing vegetation in a dream. In early June I dreamed I saw the Lord in a room with royal blue walls, holding a crown in His hand. It was clear that the crown was not His, and He seemed to be searching the room for whom it belonged. Then He walked over and placed it on me! As I awoke I heard the words, "And she succeeded to royalty."
Immediately, I recognized these words from Ezekiel 16. There you find a beautiful illustration of the Lord's covenant love for Jerusalem, pictured as a woman He finds abandoned in a field. When the Lord passes by, He sees her and rescues her. He makes her to "thrive like a plant in the field" (verse 7, NKJV). He cares for her, enters into covenant with her, and prepares her for royalty.
I knew He was speaking through this dream of His love for His Bride—Zion—a type or symbol of God's Church. Verses 12-13 (NKJV) read: "And I put a jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth...You were exceedingly beautiful, and succeeded to royalty."
Friends, despite the coronavirus, the turmoil of the elections and the uncertainty of our times—the Lord's desire is for you to apprehend the transcending power of His covenant love. Those who truly understand they are a beautiful part of His Bride, the Church, with covenant rights as royalty in His Kingdom, will thrive like a plant in the field—despite difficult circumstances—like established climbing vegetation! Pray for Delayed Revival to Be Caught Back Up Again!
On several occasions I've dreamed about a baby named "Revival." On the first night of Cheshvan (October 19), I had another one of these dreams. I was one in a group of people walking down a country path not well traveled. We walked mostly in single file and I seemed to be one of the leaders. There was a baby present with us, and I appeared to be at least partially responsible for him.
As we continued, at some point I realized he was not there—he had fallen behind somehow and was farther back down the trail with someone else. I knew he was not supposed to be there so I ran back, picked him up and ran with him until I caught back up to the front. The baby seemed frightened at first until I turned him around in my arms, but he relaxed as soon as he could see where we were going.
When I woke up I heard the Lord say, "It has just been delayed—that's all." As for the dream's meaning, I felt He was showing me, essentially, that by some divine orchestration, revival is back on God's timeline—exactly where He intends it to be.
Friends, I see an army of truth rising. He has been laying and preparing the foundation for revival, and the Lord wants us to pray that any delay will be divinely caught up. We believe in a virtual outpouring—revival cannot be stopped on account of a virus, chaos or any restrictions on corporate meetings.
Pray with me, "Lord, may Your Church truly thrive as it prepares for revival in the year of the climbing vegetation!" Amen.
