Dear Victorious Warriors:

Psalm 46:10-11 is one of the most important scriptures to embrace in the midst of warfare today: "Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I AM God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!" (AMP) This was a scripture that came burning into my spirit (heart) at the end of July. If you will remember, I sent the following word out to for us to ponder:

"Find your place of STILLNESS for 7 days and the Jericho that seems invincible in front of you will fall, and you will move into the next level of war to unlock the best that I have for you. Yes, I say it is time for you to go into your next war and the enemy would love to hold you in the warfare that you have been in. Be still and watch Me seat you in a place to laugh at the enemies that have been in your path. I am preparing a release of joy for My people. They will laugh at their last failures and blockages. This release of joy from stillness will give you a strength to overtake the enemies that you have been battling."

When the Lord spoke this, I was on the verge of completing two major assignments He had given me. Many of you have walked faithfully with Dutch Sheets and me in prayer, giving and attending the 50 State Tour meetings. I knew that assignment was coming to an end the first week of August. I also knew I was going to Spain for the international worship gathering at Santiago de Compostela, and then visiting the nation of San Marino. This was the last of 64 nations in the 40/70 Window for a recorded prayer team to go into. Therefore, that assignment was coming to completion as well. When God said to find seven days of stillness, I had to get out my calendar to see how He was going to do that in my life. I realized that at the end of my European trip I actually had seven days set aside before I had to begin traveling again.

The Principle of Stillness

When I entered these seven days of stillness, I expected quietness, restoration and peace. But instead I found I was in tremendous warfare. I was contending with something and I wasn't even sure what it was. But then I began to study the principle of stillness. To be still is to keep silence or to be quiet. Psalm 4:4 in the Amplified says, "Be angry [or stand in awe] and sin not; commune with your own hearts upon your beds and be silent (sorry for the things you say in your hearts)." Therefore, I knew it was a heart issue God was dealing with in those seven days. If I would allow Him to quiet and purify my heart from the past season (no matter how good the past season had been) and calm my anxieties over certain circumstances and fears over the future, then I would SEE God. I wanted to be able to hear that still, small voice that is talked about in 1 Kings 19:12, the voice Elijah heard after running from Jezebel. I wanted to feel the anointing beside the still waters. I wanted to sit by the waters until their motion appeared still to me, and I had no fear of the waters overtaking me.

In the mist of all the turmoil around us personally and throughout this nation, the Lord is looking for those who have a contrite spirit. He is looking for those who operate in a spirit of meekness. Meekness is strength under control. People who operate in meekness yield the moment the Lord asks them to make a shift. Meekness is the opposite of stubbornness and hardness. A meek spirit has no idolatry but is filled with worship. The Lord is also looking for those who have a "cool" spirit. Proverbs 17:27 says, "He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding has a cool spirit" (AMP). When the thoughts of our mind are not in order and aligned with God's mind, our spirit becomes unsettled. The enemy desires to cause us to go astray and lose contact with the Holy Spirit. This is a season for confusion to be removed from our mind and spirit so that we have great authority to advance into our future.

Seven Days of Waiting

The Lord began to show me what He was doing during the seven days, and I do not want you to miss this blessing in your own life. He first took me to 1 Samuel 9-15 to read the life of Saul. I was amazed to find this verse: "Then he waited seven days according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal and the people were scattered from him." This was in the context of Samuel asking Saul to wait at Gilgal until he got there to sacrifice before they went into war with the Philistines. Saul moved out of his sphere of authority at the end of those seven days, made an illegal sacrifice, and lost the continuation of his kingdom. What this really displayed was that Saul did not have a heart fully after God but was entangled with his own purposes. I knew that I had to begin this seven day time by waiting until I felt the Lord bring me into a new place of worship. I knew that waiting these seven days was very, very important in the heart of God so that we could move forward into our future.

If you remember, at the beginning of the year I wrote an article about doors. September is the transition month during which we begin to prepare to establish ourselves for the future. The word "future" is not used in the original King James Bible. We find the words "expected end". I heard the Lord say that I am attempting to make your latter or "expected end" greater than the former. Wait until you receive a new anointing before you move forward.

Dangerous Emotions and Jericho Stillness

The Lord began to speak to me and gave me two promises to pray for His people. He said, "My people are filled with dangerous emotions. I want to settle their emotions so that their mind will think the same way that I think. Unless they allow Me to deal with their dangerous emotions they will miss many blessings that I have for the future. Many will end up striking the rock as Moses did out of a dangerous emotion instead of speaking to the rock and miss their door of entry for this season. Tell My people to be still."

Then He also began to clarify and refine what He previously shared on stillness: "I am calling for a Jericho stillness. This warfare call is important for the future of My people. If they will come before Me for seven straight days and allow Me to still their hearts and quiet their spirits, that which has been invincible in their past and has kept them from moving into their future will fall before them. Tell MY people to still their hearts before Me."

The Enemy Doesn't want your Spirit Still and Quiet

All of a sudden it dawned on me: it wasn't that we were not to do anything. Rather, this was a type of fast. I began to see this was the fast God had chosen to help us make our transition into the "expected end" that He has for us. It wasn't that we were to do nothing, but we were to capture every thought and emotion that would hinder us from our future. We were to take those thoughts before God, get them upon His altar, and watch Him begin to work in a new way. That is why I was in such warfare! The enemy did not want my spirit still and quiet before God. He knew that I would then enter into the best the Lord has for me.

Below are seven days of study helps and scriptures that will help you still your heart and ready yourself for the expected end that God has for you.

Day 1: Read Psalm 23 and 46. Sit beside the still waters until you feel the new anointing begin.

Day 2: Read Hebrews 11. Let Faith arise. Elevate and establish trust in a new way. Let God show you one of the people of faith that He wants you to model after and understand at this time.

Day 3: Read Leviticus 8. Let God consecrate your heart and life in a new way.

Day 4: Read Ezekiel 3. Receive the prophetic voice of God into your life and allow Him to establish His presence.

Day 5: Read Exodus 12-15. Remove any sin in your life and ready yourself to advance forward QUICKLY.

Day 6: Read Joshua 3-5in the AM , Joshua 6 at noon, and Joshua 7at night. Define your Jericho. Ask God to establish your walk in such a way that you surround your enemy.. Ask Him to develop a new sound in you. Let the shout of the Lord rise up and watch your Jericho fall.

Day 7: Read 1 Samuel 11-13. Cry out for deliverance and tell God you will wait as long as it will takes to see things change and breakthrough come. Ask him to give you a pure heart to see and fully obey Him.

Other wonderful chapters to study regarding seven days include Genesis 50, Exodus 29, Leviticus 23, Judges 14, Isaiah 30, Ezek 43-45, Ezra 6, and Acts 20, 21, and 28. You are no longer to be on an emotional roller coaster ride. God is ready to make the crooked places straight. Steady your feet and prepare for your latter to be greater than your former. I decree that at the end of these seven days your spirit will be renewed. Declare all staleness to be broken from your spirit: stale attitudes, thoughts, teachings, philosophies. Let the Lord bless your spirit with a fresh, new, wind and word. "Bless the Lord O' my soul and ALL that is in me!"
