Realignment

One of the primary things the Lord spoke to me in the beginning of 2020 was that the Body of Christ, at large, was in a time of recalibration. God also showed me in a vision of a luxury car that looked very beautiful on the outside, however, it lacked momentum, endurance, stability and horsepower. The Father compared this car to His Church and its desperate need for realignment. His Church doesn't appear to be sluggish, drained, powerless or unstable, but it has been in need of attention to address what's going on, on the inside.

Over time, like a car steering column with all four wheels on their axles, it can become very loose, shaky, suspect, unbalanced and potentially dangerous if not attended to. The steering wheel will need a realignment for there to be better control of the vehicle. The steering wheel gives direction and controls the wheels' movements. If the axle that supports the wheels on the car is not sturdy enough and aligned properly, then it can create further damage to the vehicle's overall performance and, ultimately, the wheels could fall off and create life-threatening situations for the driver and passengers.

Furthermore, if you ever get all new tires on your vehicle, you are required to get a wheel alignment. Why is wheel alignment important? It is essential and necessary for alignment, or tracking, which is the process of ensuring a car's wheels are set to the optimum position, as per the car manufacturer's specifications. Incorrect alignment can create rapid, irregular tire wear and can ultimately impact the handling of the vehicle.

Likewise, it is the enemy's plan in this season to wear out the saints, but God wants to align us for maximum performance in the Holy Spirit. The Lord said that He is aligning and realigning His people back to His original plan and purpose for them. He is exposing things on purpose so that Believers will not walk in fear but supernatural faith to push back darkness and change the negative demonic narrative as a result of this pandemic. He is calling on the prophets, prayer warriors, leaders and Believers to join forces to discern, disarm and destroy the works of the enemy.

Why wheel alignment and what is its purpose, spiritually speaking, you may ask?

Wikipedia says this about wheel alignment: "Wheel alignment, sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of wheels to the car manufacturer specifications. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear and to ensure that vehicle travel is straight and true (without 'pulling' to one side). Alignment angles can also be altered beyond the maker's specifications to obtain a specific handling characteristic."

One may ask, "Well what does this have to do with the season we are in right now?"

Well, I am glad you asked! God said that the Body of Christ is in a time and season of alignment and realignment; and in this new era and decade, He wants His Body to go through a supernatural repositioning to come away and get a plan of action to address these unseen turbulences. In other words, what we are encountering in this global crisis, pandemic, civil unrest and economic uncertainty was not created by Him but by an unseen enemy—to kill, steal and destroy the overall purpose and destiny of God's Church. However, Jesus declares in Matthew 16:18-19:

"And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever you bind on Earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on Earth will be loosed in Heaven."

Possessing the Prophetic Advantage

The enemy is unmatched against the Body of Believers; we are called to become God's prevailing people against the forces, strategies and agendas of Hell (Matthew 16:18). God told me that what the enemy meant for your harm He is turning around for your good. We must not succumb or give in to what is happening around us in the natural. God is equipping, educating and empowering His people in the secret place to become a secret stealth weapon against the enemy. (Photo via Pixabay)

Amos 3:7-8 (ESV) declares, "For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets. The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?"

In the year of the mouth, the Lord is sounding the alarm, through His prophetic voices, that will give divine instructions to the Body of Christ with heavenly intel and strategies to outwit the enemy at his own war games.

Moreover, the Lord declared to me in prayer that the Body of Christ must possess the prophetic advantage in this season as we prepare for what is yet to come in the following months. The presidential election is one agenda the enemy is targeting. We must pray and fast like never before.

We are in the middle of intense spiritual warfare; the enemy is the puppeteer behind this pandemic to control and manipulate what is projected over the media. I must admonish you not to listen to fake news or reports. Whose report will you believe? The report of the Lord should be your answer, in faith and boldness (read Mark 5:25-34).

Also, I declare to you prophetically that there are greater and brighter days ahead of us, even though it may not look like it in the natural world. Keep in mind that it is in times like these that God uses the darkest moments to speak and reset things back to His divine plan. He's done this since creation. When the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, suddenly, it was God's opportune time to move upon the face of the waters and speak: "Let there be light!" And light came out of the shadows of darkness (Genesis 1:2-3).

When gross darkness hits the earth, it is the greatest time for the prophets to speak up and out, to declare and decree, "Let there be healing, peace, joy, breakthrough, revival and light in darkness." It doesn't matter what things looks like now, or how the year 2020 started out—as things look the opposite of what the prophets of God prophesied. God said it's not over! He says to continue to anticipate your breakthrough in faith. For His promises for you are and will be "yes and amen" before the year is out.

However, in the meantime, God is asking these questions: What are you doing while being quarantined? What will you do with the time you have while waiting for things to go back to normal? Are you hearing and leaning into what God is saying through this pandemic? Have you allowed fear, doubt and hopelessness to settle in? Are you sick and tired and feeling hope is deferred?

God is adjusting and aligning the spinal cord of His Body in this hour. He is the Chiropractor who is correcting and aligning what has been misaligned in the joints of His Body.

3 Words: "Repent, Rest and Reset"

In prayer the Lord gave me three words that He wanted me to share with His people in this hour. He declared that this is a time and season where we must repent, rest and reset. When this pandemic of the coronavirus hit rapidly in many places—especially the United States in late February—and things were beginning to shut down as a result of it, the Lord said that it was time to repent.

1. Repent

What is the real definition of repentance? It is "the action or process of repenting especially for misdeeds or moral shortcomings; the action or process of acknowledging regret for having done something wrong." In other words, we must repent by changing our conduct, actions and minds pertaining to things that are contrary to God's will. The Body of Christ must evaluate her own actions by making sure we are in right standing with the Father. In the coming days ahead, there will be those who are not remorseful and repentant of their secret sins, who could possibly fall prey to scandals and open shame orchestrated by the enemy.

Acts 3:19-20 declares, "Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you." (Photo via Pixabay)

God desires all of us to do a heart check and repent of and confess any unrepented sins—knowingly or unknowingly. It's better to be safe than sorry later. We must understand that the enemy is looking for anything he can use and accuse us of, if those areas of our lives go unchecked, unaccounted for and unrepented of. God wants to realign our heart strings to His. We must make sure that our own desires and will don't supersede His will for our lives.

The Bible says in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Christ Jesus."

2 Corinthians 7:10 also says, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

2. Rest

The second word the Lord gave me was the word "rest." What does the Word of God say about rest and relaxation? The word "rest" is defined as "peace, ease or refreshment." And the word "relax" means "to become looser or less firm; to become easier, or less stiff, in manner." The Bible speaks quite highly of rest. It is a repeated theme throughout Scripture, beginning with the creation week (Genesis 2:2-3). God created for six days then He rested, not because He was tired but to set the standard for mankind to follow. The Ten Commandments made resting on the Sabbath a requirement of the Law (Exodus 20:8-11).

Notice that the Lord said, "Remember the Sabbath." This isn't new, it has been around since creation. Many of the Lord's children and their servants and the animals rested one day out of seven. The commandment given to rest was not a license or an excuse to be lazy. You had to work for six days to get to the Sabbath. Not only did the people need to rest, but the land also needed to rest (Leviticus 25:4, 8-12). It's clear that the Lord takes rest very seriously.

God desires rest for His people because resting doesn't come naturally. To rest, we have to trust that the Father will take care of things on our behalf. We have to trust that if we take a day off, it's not the end of the world and the world will not stop turning on its axis. From the beginning, when man decided that he would start making all the decisions (Genesis 3), mankind has become more tense and less able to relax. It was in the Garden that this problem of disobedience started, but obedience, now, will bring the rest that the Father so desires for us all (read Hebrews 3:7-4:11).

Again, one of the definitions of "relax" is "to become less firm." Relaxing our hold on our own careers, families, ministries, businesses, personal lives, etc., and turning them over to the Lord in faith, is the best method to relax. It was while I was being quarantined for 3 months that the Lord told me He was giving some of us time to reflect, refresh and rest. He is also giving us supernatural strength to rejuvenate and revive for seasons to come.

We know the Bible says that times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:20 ESV). It's a time to readjust things back to God's purpose, making sure that we are not distracted and do not become busy bodies. The Lord is giving us time to rest and be at peace. Being quarantined and shut in may seem like punishment, however, in all actuality it has served as a time to be still before the Lord and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10). It has been a time designed for peace and solidarity; a time to refocus and birth creative ideas, businesses and God-given dreams; a time to heal and spend time with God and those you love.

Without rest there is no divine focus and concentration on specifically what you are called to do. God doesn't want us to burn out or break down like a car in need of wheel alignment. He is a good Father and wants the best for His children. Some had been praying and asking God for much needed rest, a vacation and some time off. Well, the quarantine season presented for us just that in my opinion. God is turning what the enemy planned against us for our benefit.

Below are a few Scriptures that speak about rest:

Matthew 11:28-30 ESV, "Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

Mark 6:31 ESV, "And He said to them, 'Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.' For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat." (Photo via Pixabay)

Exodus 33:14 ESV, "And He said, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'"

Psalm 4:8 ESV, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety."

Psalm 23:1-2, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters..."

Psalm 91:1-2, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"

Psalm 127:2 ESV, "It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for He gives to His beloved sleep."

Hebrews 4:9-11 NIV, "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from their works, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience."

3. Reset

Lastly, the Lord spoke to me that we are in a time of a hard reset. He gave me this powerful Scripture, Isaiah 43:19, where it declares: "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

What does the Bible say about doing a new thing? In Ezekiel 11:19 it says this: "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh" (NIV).

In this time of a hard reset God is making new pathways and avenues in the wilderness (or I would say, "pandemic" or "economic drought"). In the midst of this crisis and civil unrest, God tells us to spiritually see that He is doing something, and that something is a new thing. In Isaiah 43:19, He goes on to say He is doing it NOW! In the unseen realm things are springing forth to make a way for His people. God is removing people, places and things of old and replacing them with new things that are coming into your life right now. He is asking the question in this hard reset: Can you perceive what He is doing regardless of what is happening around you? The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

I just received a new iPhone 11 Pro Max, but prior to this, I had my iPhone 7 for 4 years. Even though my old phone barely worked, I was so accustomed to it that I didn't want to upgrade, shift or change it. One day, my phone stopped working. I restarted it but nothing changed. The next thing I knew I needed to do was to go to the phone settings and hit the hard-reset button. The reset button caused my phone to purge, remove and clean out everything that was causing a virus or bug in my phone.

There is a difference between reset and restart. God is not causing us to start over but to reset by removing anything that is blocking and hindering our breakthrough. COVID-19 was sent by the enemy to steal, kill and destroy God's plans and people. However, God hit the hard-reset button so that we may repent, rest and reset. The hard-reset button I pressed caused my old iPhone 7 to work again, become brand new again, even though it was outdated. It caused my phone to return back to the original factory settings when it was first delivered to me. Likewise, God is resetting you to relaunch you into your breakthrough!
