The Lord gave me a series of prophetic dreams just before 2020 and at the beginning of the year that I believe are for the Body of Christ. After much prayer, I felt led to share some of these words. I pray for your faith to be encouraged and strengthened as you read this word.
This is a year of strengthening and equipping the army of God.
Jesus is not only our Lord and Savior, but the captain of the Hosts of Heaven, who equips us to triumph in battles. After all, 2 Corinthians 2:14 talks about God leading us in victory through Christ Jesus. The Lord revealed to me through a dream and an encounter how He is equipping His army to be victorious in battles – through the strengthening of our hands and putting on of the armor of light.
A Dream of the Strengthening of the Hands of the Saints of God
In December last year, I had a dream I was in a room where Believers were waiting on the Lord, seeking breakthroughs for long-standing battles and obstacles.
In the dream, as I prayed for them, the Lord imparted into their hands the power to demolish obstacles hindering their breakthroughs. As their hands became strengthened their confidence grew, and suddenly I saw them demolish, with their hands, obstacle after obstacle.
After the dream, the Lord gave me this Scripture: "He teaches my hands to make war, so that my hands can bend a bow of bronze" (Psalm 18:34). As the Lord strengthens hands in this season, His army is being equipped to overcome. Get ready to receive an upgrade of strength to overcome battles!
An Equipping Through the Armor of Light
Some years ago, I had an experience where I was asleep when, suddenly, I was jolted awake with a feeling of an external force making an impact on the armor I was wearing spiritually. I heard the clanging sound it made. It was an audible sound, and I got a quick glimpse of the full body of armor that was on me, which was struck as I was jolted awake. Had I not had my spiritual armor on, I believe my physical body would have been touched by the enemy, but thankfully I was protected in what I believe was a God-led battle that was taking place in the spiritual realm.
After waking up, I was directed to Romans 13:12, where we are told to put on the armor of light: "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light." From this experience, I will share the following:
• We are being equipped as the Lord's army through putting on of the armor of light.
• This armor protects us as we battle in prayer for our church, community and nations.
• I saw a quick glimpse of the armor as I was awakening from my sleep, and I was amazed at the strength and sturdiness of this full body armor of light. This should strengthen your faith that you have been fully equipped by the Lord.
• A life of purity and intimacy with Jesus is needed to put on our armor of light. Romans 13:12-14 admonishes us to put off deeds of darkness and put on the Lord Jesus in order to wear our armor of light.
The Year of Significant Increase in the Anointing
While it is true that God has ordained for us to walk in the anointing in all seasons of our lives, I believe 2020 will see a marked increase of significant anointing that the Body of Christ is called to walk in.
An Anointing and Release of the Isaiah 61 Generation
On December 23, 2019, I had a vivid dream where I was about to minister to a large number of Believers in a meeting. These Believers had gathered with a huge expectation and hunger for what the Lord was about to do. I sensed many of them were already walking in the anointing but were hungry for more. As I was about to speak, a man walked up to me and gave me a bottle of oil. In the dream, I heard in my spirit, "Anoint these ones and release them as the Isaiah 61 Generation." This was clearly a gathering of God's saints that the Lord was about to release to a new level of anointing.
I felt a sense of joy when I woke up from that dream. I believe that we have entered the threshold of a new level of anointing that will cause the Church to walk in the fullness of anointing as Jesus did. This anointing will cause Believers to step into greater levels of dominion over disease, sin and bondages in order to see captives set free and bring in a great harvest of souls.
The oil that I saw in my dream also speaks of the Lord releasing joy to those who have been mourning (Isaiah 61:3). A Season to Watch and Pray for America and the Middle East
On the 8th of January 2020, I was awakened by the Lord to check the online news. I read that Iran had just released missile strikes on American bases in Iraq under the command of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Immediately, the Lord reminded me of a vision I had in my hotel room in 2013 while I was on a ministry trip in America. In that vision, I had seen an Islamic man leading an army. He spoke and said his name was Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The presence around him was intimidating and I knew he meant harm. In 2013, the Lord had also spoken to me about the need to watch and pray against a World War 3 breaking out in Iraq.
Although I prayed at the time, I did not understand the significance of seeing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in that vision until the 8th of January this year. I then realized the enemy meant to use him to escalate a situation that could lead to war if not dealt with in wisdom. I then prayed fervently, binding the enemy from using Iran to bring an escalation of war. I prayed for wisdom for President Trump on how to deal with the situation so it would not escalate into a war. I also believe that the understanding I received this year of the vision I had in 2013 signifies that we have entered into a time where we will have greater clarity of vision.
I believe the situation in the Middle East is one that must continually be monitored by the Church, and I would encourage the Body of Christ to pray. Here is how you can intercede:
• Bind all assignments of the enemy that will want to bring war in the Middle East.
• Pray for God's continual divine intervention in the Middle East.
• Pray for wisdom for President Trump and divine guidance at all times on how to deal with situations in the Middle East.
• Pray for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to see the face of Jesus and to be saved. Pray for revival in the Middle East.
• Pray against an ISIS insurgence. I believe this is a season where God's army is rising with a call to pray to see shifts in the destinies of nations.
A Great and Effectual Door of Revival for South and East Africa
Very recently, I had a dream where I was with another Believer in a room. As we were about to open a door in the room, we noticed two black mamba snakes behind the door. The other Believer then took a stick and killed the snake so we could go through the door unhindered. After waking from this dream, I sensed that black mamba snakes, which are native to South and East Africa, represented adversarial spirits that had been hindering the moves of God's Spirit there.
In 1 Corinthians 16:9, Paul talked about the adversaries that existed in spite of the great effectual door that had been opened for him. I believe God is encouraging Believers who are sent to this region that He is removing what has resisted their ministry and the move of His Spirit (represented by the black mambas) in these areas. I believe Africa will see a powerful move of God's Spirit as God removes hindrances. A great and mighty harvest will come in through this effectual door of God's outpouring that has been opened!
We have indeed entered into a door of increased anointing, breakthrough and divine intervention in the nations as God equips His army in 2020. Be encouraged to partake of all the Lord has for you in this year and decade!
