It's Time to Use Your Voice
As we enter into the new year, I believe we are entering into a new move of the Spirit, a new rhythm, and we are already seeing it. It is a prophetic awakening! God is gathering His remnant in the earth to release a prophetic sound – a harmonious sound – that releases the winds of change once again.
I want to give you a key to living in breakthrough for 2020: It's time to use your voice and release your sound, as it will be your sound that causes mountains to move and walls to come down! I want to encourage you to release powerful decrees over your family, business, and ministries.
As we release the sound of breakthrough, we will see things begin to shift in our lives, our regions, and our cities. Remember, it's the power of your words that releases change, that's why God gave you a voice!
What Is the Lord Doing?
What the Lord has put on my heart for the year 2020 is this: This is your year to breakout and to breakthrough!
2 Chronicles 20:20 says, "Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper."
This word "prosper," in the Hebrew, means to push forward, to go over, and to break out! What are you breaking out of? You're breaking out of discouragement, lack, set back, being stuck, the spiritual prison of "never enough," and you're stepping into the breakthrough of the promise, the fullness of destiny!
This is the word of the Lord for you this season, saints!
"I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like the sheep of the fold, like a flock in the midst of their pasture; they shall make a loud noise because of so many people. The one who breaks open will come up before them; they will breakout, pass through the gate, and go out by it; their King will pass before them, with the Lord at their head." (Micah 2:12-13 NKJV)
We know Jesus to be the Breaker that has gone before us!
Throughout the Bible, we can see that God always has a remnant preserved and prepared. God is making a way for the Church, He is making a way for us to advance. He is making a way for you to cross over into destiny!
I like how the KJV translation reads: "The breaker is come up before them..." (Micah 2:13). The Word of God tells us that the Lord is a breaker, the Lord is a fearsome warrior (Jeremiah 20:11). Let us be reminded that the Breaker is within us. It's His sound that is being released in the earth through a prophetic company; it's the sound of the breaker!
Anointing of the Ox Horn
David was a warrior in the natural as well as in the spirit. He carried a breaker anointing. David was just a young shepherd boy, and Saul was king of Israel at this time, but because of his disobedience, God looked for another that would be able to take Saul's place as king. The Lord then spoke to the prophet Samuel and said, "...Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons" (1 Samuel 16:1 NKJV).
The prophet Samuel then anointed David with that oil, and even his garments were saturated with oil (we know that the oil is symbolic of the anointing). Saul was anointed with a vial of oil, but young David was anointed with oil poured out of the ox horn!
Why the horn of the ox? I believe God anointed David with the horn of the ox because it symbolized the power and strength of that animal. David received both power and authority. He carried the anointing of a breaker!
"You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me." (Psalms 92:10)
The ox is a breaker, it plows the ground for the harvest. If we want long lasting breakthrough in our regions and cities we must have the strength of the ox! The anointing that was on David's life carried him throughout the changing seasons and into the fullness of promise – that he would be king over Israel. As David stepped into his rightful place as king, he brought unity to all the tribes of Israel.
The God Who Breaks Through
"Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, 'Indeed we are your bone and your flesh. Also, in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them in; and the Lord said to you, "You shall shepherd My people Israel, and be ruler over Israel."'" (2 Samuel 5:1-2 NKJV)
It was after this that the Bible says, "...David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the city of David)" (2 Samuel 5:7 NKJV). When the Philistines heard that David had taken the stronghold, they sought after him near the stronghold. The Lord spoke to David, saying that He would deliver the Philistines into his hand (2 Samuel 5:19). David then took his army to Baal Perazim to fight them.
"So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, 'The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.' Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim." (2 Samuel 5:20 NKJV)
Baal Perazim means "the Lord who bursts through"! There is a battle for every destiny, and we need the Lord of breakthrough.
I pray shalom over your storm and I pray that the Lord of the breakthrough would intervene in the midst of every battle you are currently facing. I also pray that the Lord of breakthrough would rise in you, as you are an overcomer, because Jesus has already overcome on our behalf!
We stand in the victory that He has already obtained and accomplished! I speak breakthrough in the name above all names, Jesus!
