"In This Christmas Season, Decree, Declare and Ignite"

Upon reflecting on the Christmas season and the purpose and the plans of GOD, I have found it's very humbling and exciting. 2,000 years ago an angel announced the coming of our Lord. Shepherds watched the sky. Three wise men watched the sky. They all followed the signs and a king was scared he was going to be usurped at any given moment.

Yet, Scripture told us He was coming:

"The Lord says, 'The time is coming when I will choose as king a righteous descendant of David. That King will rule wisely and do what is right and just throughout the land.'" (Jeremiah 23:5)

With this being said, no one thought he would be found in a stable (often man looks for kings in a palaces). Yet, he was. No one thought He would be a King, yet, He IS.

Fast forward to today. God is speaking in this season. He is delivering a message that is not common to the reader. It's His season to decree, declare and to ignite the imagination of all.

Yes, angelic activity is released. Yes, love is increased. But where is the message? Where is that glorious message we hope for? Did they not ask, "Where is He?" Just as God spoke in those days of scattering and idolatry, He is speaking, today, worldwide. Yet can we hear Him? Do we see Him? Do we know Him as He should be known?

"But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul." (Deuteronomy 4:29)

Look to the Sky!

Christmas is a time of reflection, anticipation, hope and mystery. Humbling, isn't it? Why is this message uncommon today? What has changed? Society has changed. The Church and the Believer has changed. Political correctness and sinful behaviors accepted by law entered in.

All point, once again, to the coming Christ – but He is not in the lowly stable this time...neither is He in a palace. Once again, the focus is on the sky – the light in a dark place – the hope of a King who will rule with justice and mercy!

"Where is He?" I often hear people asking – especially when they are suffering. The people are beginning to cry for a king, a leader and a prophet. They are looking for someone who will guide them to a safe place. "Where is He, the One I'm looking for?" I hear them cry. He's here! He is the King of kings and The Lord of lords! His majesty is reigning in the earth today. He is the great High Priest, presented as the ultimate sacrifice and accepted by the Almighty. He reigns as King over the Church – or does He?

The humble stable shared this promise with the wise men of the time. Those men were so transformed, they departed another way. The boy grew and became bold in front of those who opposed His Father's Kingdom. Many marveled at Him. Then they opposed His life and took it. Yet He lives.

He Is Searching

In this day and hour He is looking. He is searching for those who will accept the divine call to comprehend the kingship of GOD – the ambassadorship and the extension of His realm – in a much higher level than we have seen in the past; the reigning of kings and priests, a royal priesthood.

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)

Filled with His Promises and Majesty

This extension of His Father's Kingdom is being released now! As the stable was filled with the glory of God, so will the churches be filled with His promises. We will begin to see this upward motion, thought and distinction of change. This Christmas season, we will begin to see the majestic side of the birth of Jesus; the glorious realm of His presence. Songs will bellow from the lungs of Believers with gusto, taking on relevant meaning. Angels will make appearances in houses of worship as they do the bidding of the Father, making way for the King! "Make way!" I hear in my spirit. "Make Way!"

Here are biblical examples of angels preparing the way for the King:

• God sent the angel, Gabriel, to Mary in Luke 1 to tell her that she would give birth to the Son of God.

• Gabriel also came to Zechariah to tell him the news that Elizabeth would bear a son.

• In Luke 2, God sent an angel messenger to the shepherds to tell them of Jesus' birth.

• In Matthew 28, an angel appeared at the tomb of Christ to announce that Jesus was risen.

Who's in?

Yes, what has happened before will happen again. Are we looking for this? Gabriel will announce His coming when it's time. Yet the angels are preparing the way, even now, as messengers, and will touch the lives of many people!

"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14)

"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to His own will?" (Hebrews 2:1-4)

The call is going out from Heaven and Earth. Our own Sovereign is calling us to take heed; to listen, do and be. Who's in? Just as the angels appeared in the past, they are appearing now, declaring where to find Him, the One we look for.

"'This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.' And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.'

"When the angels had gone away from them into Heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, 'Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.' So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them." (Luke 2:12-20)

In this season, we will see the story read about and longed for...the humble birth, the glory of God, the angelic realms, the transformations, and the mystery and majesty of the truth.

God says to you: "Now I'm calling many sons and daughters to do and be like Jesus (shepherds, healers, friends, brothers, deliverers), to become kings, priests, apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors – all of those who stand in that place of humility where divine transformation emerges in the hearts of all – so all of mankind can find saving grace in this world through you and through Me."

"The Son of David, from the stable to the heavens, reigning supreme, so I shall declare you to be...and I declare, even now," says the Lord, "you will always have descendants, and I will make your Kingdom last forever. Your dynasty will never end (see 2 Samuel 7:16)."

A Simple Prayer:

Let's pray: Sweet Jesus, You are the story...You are what I long for, the one Son for all! Dear Lord, I have heard Your heart. This is Your season. Allow us to reflect on the past and the future. We pray that each one of us is sensitive to the will of GOD, epically, as the focus is on You during this season. Make me a light in the dark place. Allow me to see, hear and feel Your presence. Give us this day our daily bread. Deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
