In this season, God is shining new light on Scripture so that you can perceive His Word in a new and fresh way. What was once seen through the lens of condemnation and shame, the Lord is bringing clarity and revealing His goodness, hope, and truth.
For some of you, opportunities will appear that may not appear to be upgrades, but as you step out in faith, you will see they are much better than you first expected. God is releasing wisdom and grace to make decisions. Peace will be a vital key as you trust in the Lord's timing and stand strong against opposition. As you partner with Him in blessing those around you and focusing on His presence, He will lead you into the victory you were born to walk in.
Transmuted Light
"Truth's shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of Your Word makes my pathway clear." (Psalm 119:105 The Passion Translation)
I recently saw a sunbeam shine on a woman's arm, and as the light hit her arm, it became a rainbow as though it was shining through a crystal. The transmutation (changing into another nature, substance, form or condition) of the light brought a new perspective of her arm. It was highlighted in a new and different way. (Photo via Unsplash)
Right now, God is shining new light on the Scriptures. Many have only been made aware of how they fall short because they read the Bible through the lens of condemnation. The grace was there in Scripture, but there also existed a lack of understanding in the verses.
Shame and condemnation have colored the way that many interact with the Bible, and it has kept them from a real relationship with Jesus. Condemnation allows satan to cripple us more and more because we are focused on ourselves and our own shortcomings.
Through God's shining light, however, we can perceive the Scriptures in a new way that reveals truth, hope, life, and joy. Take hold of the power to lay down your old lenses of shame and condemnation and receive the truth of God's Word with hope and love.
Unexpected Upgrade
"Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you." (Ephesians 3:20 The Passion Translation)
Watch as opportunities present themselves that feel like an alternative to your current situation. At first, they may not appear to be better opportunities, but as you step out in faith, you will find that they are actually better in ways you couldn't have seen if you had not taken that step. When the transition is over, you will have a list of improvements that you weren't expecting. The way that you make this decision and even the steps leading to this decision will be easy and not require much effort. (Photo via Pixabay)
Transitions that may initially seem like a lateral move (equal to where you are now) will end up being an upgrade. You will discover ways that this move was an improvement over the former things once you make the move. Expect to see this become true in relationships, business transactions, and in seeing God's provision.
You may have an opportunity to move (houses, businesses, churches, jobs) and that option will be confirmed as you take a step of faith. Watch this month as God provides a way that ends up being even better than you hoped or thought!
Beneficial Change
"So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God's perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are His lovers who have been called to fulfill His designed purpose." (Romans 8:28 The Passion Translation)
You may see a change that feels like it could potentially be bad or expose a need, but it will suddenly be met in a timely, smooth, and easy way. Weather this change with courage and faith, trusting that God knew about this need before you did and He's working things out for your good.
It will be necessary to take the time to actually evaluate and examine the need thoroughly. After this, you will be more aware of God when He meets the need. Take the time you need to get down to the nitty-gritty and really examine the facts. There will actually be a benefit in paring down, and you may not need as much as you thought you did.
For example, your income may be reduced by a certain amount, but in evaluating your finances you may realize that you don't need several services that you were still paying for. Had you not forced yourself to look closely, you would not have even realized you were still paying for unnecessary things.
God is meeting us as we do the work to examine our situation in light of a coming change.
Wisdom for Decisions
"And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and He will give it! He won't see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but He will overwhelm your failures with His generous grace." (James 1:5 The Passion Translation) (Photo via Pixabay)
You may find yourself in a situation where you need to make a decision, but because of circumstances, you may feel almost desperate or rushed. Don't cave to the pressure or frustration. Separate yourself from the situation so that you can think about what you actually want to do. The process may take longer than you would like and that may make you feel like you need to rush, but take the time you need to have peace about your decision.
God is giving us wisdom for our decisions and the grace we need to make them. He is creating opportunities to grow in decision making as we learn to trust Him in the process. God tells us that He will give us wisdom generously and without judging us whenever we ask (James 1:5). So ASK! After this is over, you will be a better, wiser decision maker. Watch how He meets you in your need!
Victorious Opposition
"But if you will listen, I say to you, love your enemies and do something wonderful for them in return for their hatred. When someone curses you, bless that person in return. When you are mistreated and harassed by others, accept it as your mission to pray for them. To those who despise you, continue to serve them and minister to them. If someone takes away your coat, give him as a gift your shirt as well." (Luke 6:27-29 The Passion Translation)
If you are facing a trial that looks like an attack, persecution, or simply some opposition coming against you, victory can be yours! Stand strong by simply not engaging. Resist the powerful temptation to REACT, and instead seek God's truth for the situation found in Scripture and the wisdom of counsel.
Choose to keep your heart tender by not becoming offended or hurt. The moment that offense sets in, we have given the enemy an access point to derail us with his lies. There is tremendous power in choosing to bless and forgive our offenders. The Bible tells us that in order to be forgiven, we must forgive others first (Mark 11:25). (Photo via Flickr)
Unforgiveness can quickly turn into bitterness and resentment, which eventually leads to a hardened heart. In that place, it is much harder to turn back. Do not give weight or significance to the struggle, but instead focus on Jesus, who has every solution to every need.
God is giving revelation of the tools that He has put at your disposal and the grace not to react to the enemy's schemes. Use your tools wisely; bless them, pray for them, renounce any agreement with what was coming against you (condemnation, rejection, offense, fear, etc.). Declare that you are choosing to tap into God's wisdom and solutions for your situation. Choose peace instead of reacting and lashing back. If God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?
