In this season, God is softening our hearts towards those who have felt alienated and judged, calling us to draw near in "love and truth" to those who are different than we are. He is inviting us into creation, and as we spend time with Him unplugged from distraction, He is meeting us with revelation and refreshing.

Creativity is highlighted right now, and there is grace to try completely new things that you have never tried before. God is creating strategic opportunities in business and in other kinds of partnerships. As these opportunities present themselves, you will marvel at how divine these alliances seem.

A Call to Love

It's time to rally together around those who we may not have loved well: those who may feel alienated, ostracized, judged, or alone. Keep your eyes open to those who are experiencing this in varying degrees and in different settings. As the Church, we must be careful to keep our hearts pure as we reach out to those who have been persecuted in some way.

At times, almost all of us have fallen into judging someone else, but Jesus exhorts us to not judge in Luke 6:37. Consider how Jesus spoke with the woman caught in adultery in the passage below.

"The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst they said to Him, 'Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do You say?' (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

"This they said to test Him, that they might have some charge to bring against Him. Jesus bent down and wrote with His finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask Him, He stood up and said to them, 'Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her...'

"But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before Him. Jesus stood up and said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.'" (John 8:3-7, 9-11 ESV)

We must let go of the tendency to only reach out to those that are like us, and instead recognize that we can minister to and show true kindness to all people.

By drawing near and embracing those with different worldviews and values, and those who may not know the revelation of His love, we are taking Jesus' command to love and not to judge the heart. He will honor our humility and vulnerability in making this choice. (Photo via Unsplash

May we be a safe place for those who have been judged, who feel unloved or alienated. May we speak the truth to them in love. May they know that they can come as they are, and feel fully known for who they are. May Jesus be glorified through our choice to love in the same way He does.

Revealed in Creation

"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.'"
(Psalm 46:10 NIV)

We are all busy, and life passes us by unless we are intentional with our time. One thing that rejuvenates our souls, as well as connects us to hear the voice of God, is spending time in nature.

This season, make connecting with God in nature a priority and you will not regret it. Make time to watch the sun rise, go for a walk while talking to Him about your day, simply spending time outdoors to see His beauty.

This is a time for quiet listening, intentionally making time for Him, and enjoying His presence. Revelation and answers will come during this time. There is a special anointing that you will have access to simply by choosing to value and spend time in His creation with Him.

Can't You Talk Louder, God?

At times when things weigh heavy, choose to not be distracted, but instead process it with God and He will meet you.

It is so easy with all the technological advances that are happening right now to put ourselves on auto-pilot and coast through our lives. Our phones never leave our sides, and we have everything available at a moment's notice.

Use this opportunity to unplug and watch what the break does for your spirit. Leave your phone at home when you go for a walk, or inside when you go on the back porch. Technology does make our lives easier, but it's good to take a break.

In this time that you spend with God, He will meet you even if the time is short. There is an opportunity for deep connection right now, almost as if you're making up for lost time. This season, watch as God brings revelation in your quiet moments with Him in nature, as He teaches all of us to slow down and meets us when we do.

Committed to Create

"So God created mankind in His own image,
in the image of God He created them;
male and female He created them."
(Genesis 1:27 NIV) (Photo via Unsplash)

So often we allow the pace of our lives to take over, and things like hobbies that we love and that bring us life and joy fall away because they don't feel like a priority. We're so busy doing things that have more tangible outcomes: our jobs, taking care of our children, spending time with friends, running errands, etc.

However, it's important to remember that hobbies are a lifeline and are actually super important to our wellbeing. Although not every hobby is creative, most foster creativity at some level. Creative outlets reduce stress and help us all to slow down and focus on something that we enjoy.

In this season, consider making a commitment to be creative regularly, making it a real part of your life. We are all creative (as we are created by the Creator), but we may need different levels of exploration to figure that out for ourselves.

If you feel like you're in a rut, try a different medium than you usually use to create. If you most often write, try painting. If you usually paint nature, try painting people. There is grace this season to do new things!

God, the ultimate Creative, is assisting you in your creative journey. He is present with you in your creative process and is defining it for each of us because we're all unique and different. He is calling you to a higher level of creativity and grace to try new things you've never done before!

Strategic Alliances

"The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none." (Deuteronomy 28:12 NIV)

In this season, God is creating strategic opportunities in business and in other kinds of partnerships. As these opportunities present themselves they will be exciting initially.

Don't be surprised if, as you dive deeper, the questions start to erupt about timing, finances, viability, etc. It may seem like now is not the best time. However, as you press in and move forward, if it IS something that God is breathing on, He will show up, revealing that it's actually the perfect time and that He's already made a way. In business, watch as the finances line up just in time, and after the deal is final, the momentum of the new union will be impressive. In relationships, watch as God brings just the right person to you at just the right time. You will marvel together at how divine your alliance seems.

Before these partnerships and opportunities began to develop, some of you thought the end was coming. You may not have seen a way out before this partnership was on the table, and the exciting result is that it will help both sides out. Rejoice in the fact that it's not the end, but instead it's the beginning of something wonderful!

This season, God is divinely orchestrating timing and opportunities. He's been bringing this together for a long time, and now it's finally coming to fruition!

Declarations:

• I am called to love.
• God meets me in the quiet places in His creation.
• God reveals Himself to me through what I create with Him.
• God is bringing just the right people to me at just the right time.
• When I choose to unplug I can hear God more clearly. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
