From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzIn this word, Bob Blase exhorts God's people to come BUY from GOD WITHOUT MONEY – the riches He has for us.

It's important to remember that God wants to bless you with all the goodness and good things from Him – He wants to do this even more than we ourselves want it!

Read this word more slowly to grasp all that is in it. Then let's go after what He is promising to us...but leave your wallet. These things from God are to be ours, without cost. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

God's Gift of Faith

You and I have entered the Realm of Great Exchange. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God" (Romans 5:1-2). Through faith, which itself is the gift of God, in Jesus Christ you have entered the Realm of God, the Kingdom of Heaven, the Realm of Great Exchange.

Come, Buy and Eat

What could any of us possibly have of value to trade with God in exchange for what He has for us? We need only ask Him for that answer. "Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost" (Isaiah 55:1).

The Great Exchange is On

Christ took our sins and exchanged them for His righteousness. We call it "salvation." We no longer limit the Holy One of Israel by thinking that God's grace is limited to just getting saved. Being born again is not the conclusion of His work in us; it is only the beginning of life with God and His work in us to make us like His Son. "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren" (Roman 8:29).

The Great Exchange Continues

God's gifts to us are truly endless. Christ bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, and by His stripes we are healed.

He has given us His beauty in exchange for our ashes, His oil of joy in exchange for our mourning. He has clothed us with His praise in exchange for our spirit of heaviness. In our weakness He gives us His strength. We cast our anxieties on Him in exchange for His peace. These are Kingdom-faith transactions between the Lord and us; transformations within us that are as unlimited as the promises in the Word of God. They are all an expression of His undying love for us.

Kingdom Values

Our mindset is to be that we keep ourselves open continually to God's process of renewing our minds. By this we can keep growing and comprehending what God is after. "Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:1-2).

This is His path that leads us to view our lives through the value-system of the Kingdom of Heaven. Then, we will know His will. In the wisdom of God, He made it so we can exchange our need and weakness for His life and Spirit. He put the Teacher, the Spirit of Truth, on the inside to lead us. He gave us His Word to light our path. And the Lord Jesus sealed it all with His sacrifice on the Cross, His death, resurrection and ascension.

Unlimited Inheritance

God has given an unlimited inheritance, because Jesus Christ Himself is our our calling and inheritance. "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18). Jesus is both infinite and eternal. I am fairly certain you cannot get any more great and unlimited than that. This is also why He has provided for you His righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit; because that is the Kingdom of God (Romans 14:17).

He Rejoices Over Us with Singing

I can hear God's heart as if singing so many Scripture verses to us, His beloved children:

"If God is for us, who can be against us?
The Father took delight to give you the Kingdom.
I go to prepare a place for you.
I have loved you with an everlasting love.
Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations.
I will be with you always, even to the end of the world,
Even forever and ever. Amen."
