Eagles of God: Report From Germany

Dear Gap Standers:

Thank you for praying for us in Germany. Germany is an interesting nation and is one of the most beautiful and ordered in the world. Germany is probably known for its past history as much as any nation worldwide. We stayed in the Stuttgart region.
We began our time there by meeting with pastors and ministry leaders from across that region. Sharon Stone spoke that (Thursday) night about the process of moving through to your enlarged place. She also communicated the need for the Church in Germany to rise up in faith. I had told the team during our travel there that God wanted me to minister on how to get off dead center, move past your halfway point and into your next dimension. These two messages went well together.

Seeing Your Future by Looking Into the Past

I believe it is important for us to look at the history of Germany to understand its prophetic future. In November 1936, Germany and Italy formed the Berlin-Rome Axis. That same year Germany, Italy, and Japan signed the Anti-Comintern Pact with the three signatories pledging to defend each other against the Soviet Union and international communism. From there we see many things began to escalate.

The Causes of the Second World War

I want to be simple, but comprehensive, to remind you of the history of WWII. The Second World War was caused by Hitler's aim to unite German speaking people (using National Self-Determination which had been denied at the Treaty of Versailles). He wanted lebensraum (living space) in order to gain autarky, or self-sufficiency. He wanted to dominate Europe and the world. To achieve any of these aims would involve breaking the Treaty of Versailles (June 28, 1919), and this could lead to war.

Hitler's Allies became very aggressive. In Italy, Mussolini wanted a Fascist-Roman empire in the Mediterranean and Africa (e.g. Abyssinian invasion in 1935.) Japan wanted a Nipponese empire in the Pacific, extending into China and Australia (e.g. Manchurian invasion in 1931). Germany, Italy, and Japan were hostile to Communism (USSR). This produced great competition and hostility. Other Axis Powers included: Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Romania and Slovakia.

The Democratic Powers Were Passive

The USA was isolated and wanted to turn their head from the truth. France was unlikely, and reluctant, to intervene against Germany, because she could not rely on Britain's and America's support. Britain was sympathetic to German recovery from 1934-37. Between May 1937 and March 1939, Britain appeased Germany. The democratic powers could have stopped Fascist aggression earlier than 1939.

To summarize, the Second World War was caused by Fascist aggression and the failure of democratic powers to stop this aggression. Here is a succinct list of reasons.

1. The rearmament of Germany was a cause of war because it broke the Treaty of Versailles (made on June 28, 1919).
2. The remilitarization of the Rhineland (March 7, 1936) was a cause of war because it broke the Treaty of Versailles and the Locarno Pacts (made in 1925).
3. The Rome-Berlin Axis (October 1936) was a cause of war because it united the aggressive fascist powers and divided Europe into hostile camps.
4. Chamberlain's appeasement policy (after May 1937 – March 1939) was a cause of war because it broke the Treaty of Versailles and Treaty of St. Germain (made on September 10, 1919).
5. The Anschluss of Germany with Austria (March 13, 1938) was a cause of war because it broke the Treaty of Versailles and Treaty of St. Germain.
6. The Nazi annexation of the Sudetenland after the Munich conference (September 29, 1938) was a cause of war, because it broke the Treaty of St. Germain.
7. The Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia in March 1939, was a cause of war because it defied the Munich agreement and ended Britain's appeasement policy.
8. The Nazi-Soviet Pact (August 29, 1939) was a cause of war because it sealed Poland's downfall.
9. The Nazi invasion of Poland (September 1, 1939) was a cause of war because Britain had guaranteed Poland's borders.

I have included the above because there was something unsettling in Germany while we were there. I see the Church becoming more desperate, but there seems to be a move away from godliness in the civil government. We need to watch this nation very carefully over the next two years.

"It Is Time to Go Past The Half-Way Mark"

Here was the prophetic word for Germany given on May 14, 2004:

"It is time to go past the half-way mark. If you don't press forward, you will lose ground and go backward. Germany, you are hanging in the balance and must be willing to move forward. If you don't deal with bitter roots this year, they will produce bitter fruit for the next four years.

"Begin to develop your strategy to press forward and complete the remainder of these years of war. Be ready to press past reformation into transformation. God is raising a Church that is ready to press through. However, the barrier of the past is a mountain that must be leapt over.

"In 2006 you will make a choice of whom you will align with. 70 years ago, at that time, you made an alignment. You will have another opportunity to align. You are at a place called Shechem. Will you align with My purposes, or will you misalign? 70 years ago your heart was to rise and dominate. At the end of this 3½ years (which ends March 2005), your heart will be revealed again.

"You must call forth the next generation. The only way to win the war is for a new dimension of worship to enter the land. If My people will do this, the civil government will recognize that there is something to contend with in the spiritual realm. The atmosphere will change."

Worship Will Open the Heavens for His Glory to Come

I then saw that area of Germany would become a worship center which opens the heavens so His glory comes. People from a 180-mile radius will come because of what God is doing here. I continued prophesying:

"I am giving My Church authority to call My covenant plan to come into place. I'm putting supernatural favor on you. I'm moving you and raising ambassadors to go to other places. This is a peculiar window. The next 6 months are important.

"I want faith demonstrated and worship heard. Gather when I call. I will send key prophets so you will know what I am saying. If you will have a corporate intercession meeting once a month for six months, and worship Me vibrantly and allow your prophets to speak and the intercessors to wail, I will shake this land and demonstrate My power in you.

"The life of God will be released and you will see this land make its decision next year. You will begin to see Me move in those who are 18 - 32 [years of age] and sovereignly bring them into My house and cause this land to make its choice. Rise up and train those who will be speaking what I am saying. Let schools of prophets arise throughout the land."

Many of you have an inheritance in Germany. This is a key time to pray and intercede for this land. In the next week you can also expect to receive a new 50-Day Focus on Harvest Praying.

"We are deeply concerned that despite the strides we have made over the years, anti-Semitic incidents continue to be carried out in large numbers," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.

"While we can take comfort that this year's numbers have not increased substantially, it is unsettling that we are still experiencing anti-Semitism at an average rate of four incidents per day. It demonstrates there is a real need for continuing education and outreach...With the ongoing threat of terrorism, synagogues and Jewish institutions in the U.S. have by and large followed ADL's recommendations for making security awareness an everyday concern," Mr. Foxman said. "That, plus the increased presence of law enforcement working with communities to prevent attacks, has worked as a deterrent against anti-Semitic attacks.

"On the other hand, vandalism incidents are still a major concern. And we are also concerned that anti-Semites and bigots are finding other outlets for spreading hate, especially on the Internet, where they can enjoy virtual anonymity."

In America, the states showing the largest numbers of reported incidents in 2002 were:

• New York: 302 (down from 408 in 2001)
• California: 223 (up from 122 in 2001)
• New Jersey: 171 (down from 192)
• Massachusetts: 129 (up from 126)
• Pennsylvania: 101 (up from 61)
