Chuck Pierce: "Strategy: Rest to Break Old Cycles" PLUS "37-day Prayer Focus
Beginning on 9/11"
Special Intro by Steve
Shultz:
There are few men that I
respect at the level I respect the prophetic voice and character of Chuck
Pierce. Read this article slowly and carefully as Chuck both introduces the
upcoming new year (based on the Jewish Calendar) and wraps up the last one.
How we respond in rest and faith will determine our next five years,
according to Chuck. And I believe this!
Also, please come to Albany, Oregon Dec 15 and 16 as Chuck Pierce and Dutch
Sheets help pray, and declare prophetically, Oregon and this nation's
destiny. This is a HIGHLY strategic time in the spirit, in the Northwest,
AND the whole Nation, (though yes, it's around Christmas time).
You can read more about it
at:

We will be meeting just up the road from our Elijah List offices in Albany,
Oregon, in the very community where Kathryn Kuhlman was launched into her
international healing ministry as a teenager ( I bet you didn't know that!)
. See you on December 15 and 16 here in Albany, Oregon! We can hold close to
1500 folks here for this event and it's a no-registration, no cost event!
So Come! There's room for you! And Worship will be "off the chart!"
See you here close to Christmas!

September 10, 2003
Dear Faithful Prayer Warriors:
Greetings! May the joy of the Lord be filling your spirit and strength permeate
your body. When the Lord visited me in December and revealed to me the blueprint
for this year He said, "July 15 through September 15 will be a time to refine
vision." As we refine our vision we should be led into increase. Remember, this
is a Sabbath Day Year, and how you set the course this year is how the next
five years will follow. Therefore, you will want to have a mind for increase
developed before Rosh Hashanah occurs on September 26/27.
Resting to Break Old Cycles
The Lord also said
we are not to strive this year. Rest breaks old cycles. And, if we would enter
into rest by faith and mix the Word of God in our hearts with faith, we would
double again. Proverbs 29:18 says, "Without a vision (prophetic utterance and
proper established boundaries) a people perish (go backwards, decline and finally
are no more.)" God wants your vision to become sure as we approach His next
season. Some of you might feel blocked. Lay down everything and let God restore
your place and function in His Body.
The Psalmist summarized my feelings in Psalm 27:13, "I would have lost heart
unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land
of the living." I want to add to this that one of the reasons my heart stays
strong is you. I want to thank you for your prayers, your gifts, your notes,
and your emails. Your prayers and support have released a supernatural strength
for me to go forth in these next several months. Thank you for responding to
the call to help me make this "shift" of faith that God is requiring of me.
A Busy Schedule
I'm putting my schedule below because many of you know that August was one of
the most demanding but productive months I've ever experienced. September and
October are similar. I will be taking an Eagle team to Europe (Rome, Athens,
Jerusalem, Cyprus) in two weeks. Dutch Sheets and I have six states to visit
in October. I also go to Kazakhstan for our international Gideon's Army prayer
gathering for the Silk Road region, led by Peter and Doris Wagner. Marty Cassady,
Tommie Femrite, and I will be heading the Intercessory and Ministry Team. I
got to be at home with the kids for a couple of days because Pam is in Oklahoma
working on finishing her degree. I am now in Colorado Springs for our annual
Apostolic Roundtable for Deliverance Ministers. At the beginning of the year,
the Lord impressed me that July 15 through September would be a "time to refine
vision", before we enter into the new year. Rosh Hashanah is Sept 26-28, followed
by the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and then the Feast of Tabernacles October
11-17. These Feast times hold much revelation for God's people. The issue is
not that we must legalistically participate in the Feast; we should, however,
acknowledge God's sovereign times in the earth realm. When we do this, we flow
in prophetic revelation. "Without a vision (or prophetic revelation) a people
perish (go backwards, or lose their way of advancement) and do not heed their
restraints or boundaries. (Prov.29:18 paraphrased). Covenant blessings manifest
in the midst of God-ordained boundaries. Remember, we are ending a Sabbath day
rest year in the midst of a seven year war cycle. How we set the course for
our lives, families, corporate visions, ministries, the Church, cities, and
even nations, this year, the next five years will follow suit.
A TIME TO REFINE VISION!
This is a time where God is refining our vision. To refine
our vision means that we have our vision but it must come into a more clear,
pinpointed focus. To refine means to make pure, free from impurities, clarify,
to remove imperfection or commonness. There is a clear implication here that
we will have something removed from us. There is an inference that we will be
cultivated through polishing and become elegant. In other words, refined vision
causes us to shine. Remember, how we have set the course this year is how the
next five years are going to follow. Vision is an experience in the life of
a person, whereby a special revelation from God is received. This revelation
from God has two purposes: Immediate Direction, as with Abram in Genesis 12:1-3,
Lot in Genesis 19:15, Balaam in Numbers 22:22-40 and Peter in Acts 12:7. Another
reason for the release of revelation is to: Develop the Kingdom of God by revealing
the moral and spiritual deficiencies of the people of God in light of God's
requirements for maintaining a proper relationship with Him. We see this type
of vision communicated by the prophets. The Hebrew word for vision refers to
the prophetic function of receiving and delivering the word of God by a prophet
(Read Joel 2 & 3). Other words are used for the literal sense of perception
with the physical organs of sight (Job 27:11-12; Prov. 22:29).
Refined Vision Releases
Increase
Since vision is a Kingdom function, once refined, there is a great dynamic of
increase released. When Abraham responded to God's test relative to taking his
only son up on Mt. Moriah, he gained new vision for the future. By laying His
only son, or future, on the altar, God revealed Himself in a way that Abraham
had never known Him. He compounded His character of Jehovah with Jireh, revealing
Himself as the One who could cause a vision that was destined for death to be
resurrected from its ashes. The connotation here was, "When I SEE the need that
My covenant people have, I WILL PROVIDE." We must lay down anything that needs
to be laid on the altar. This takes a new dimension of faith. I am praying for
faith to arise and that you have His eyes to see clearly. He will cause you
to "see your provision for the future."
Blessings and Joy,
Chuck D. Pierce

37 DAY PRAYER FOCUS TO LEAD US INTO CLEAR
VISION
- What is the current authority structure that you are working in?
- What is your sphere of influence?
- Do you know your motivational gift? Are spiritual gifts manifesting in
you?
- Where are you most comfortable serving the Lord? Are you presently serving
in the context of a corporate setting?
- Do you sense the anointing and fruit of God coming forth in your life
and present place of service?
- Do you have access to all the resources you need to accomplish your vision?
Vision without resources creates frustration.
- Do you feel your vision is shifting at this time?
- How are you seeking the Lord to receive strategy to refine your vision?
Matthew 6:33 says to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.
- What would be the enemy's number one strategy to stop you from moving
forward in your vision?
- Do you have a mind and a goal for increase?
- Who and where will the vision the Lord has given you touch? Redefine the
scope of your vision.
- What one area needs to be unlocked in your life, vision and territory
so you move forward in your call from the Lord?
- Do you feel confident to accomplish what God is asking you to accomplish
at this time?
If you begin on September 11, this prayer focus will take you through October
17, THE END OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES. If you do not understand the significance
of the Feast and this time of year, I have an explanation following the prayer
focus. Ask yourself the previous vision questions...then pray for 37 days.
Day 1 READ PSALM 37 (esp. vs.29-34). Build this revelation into your
life.
Day 2 READ MARK 8:22-26. Cry out for vision and allow the Lord to lead
you from an old, familiar place. Sometimes our familiar surroundings tend to
blind us. He led the blind man out of town to heal him.
Day 3 READ MARK 8:22-26 AGAIN. Notice the process of vision. Do not grow
weary in the Lord's process or method. Allow Him to touch you again!
Day 4 READ JOHN 9;1-12. There are some things you are going through that
are strictly for the "glory of God" to be demonstrated in you. Let Him anoint
you and then you 'go' where He would send you. Be sure you are properly connected.
The pool of Siloam meant "Sent". This is the Greek word linked with apostle.
Be sure you evaluate the leadership connections in your life.
Day 5 READ JOHN 9:13-41. Do not be afraid of confrontations. Sometimes
questions and conflicts establish vision and your relationships for the future.
Day 6 READ GENESIS 22:1-10. Our tests confirm our faith. List the current
key test you are going through. Be willing to stop and worship in the midst
of the test. Worship determines heaven's release! Abraham had to lay his only
son on the altar. If we lay our future on the altar the Lord can refine it.
The test you are going through today determines your future.
Day 7 READ GENESIS 22:11-15. Expect the Lord to visit you and reveal
Himself to you in a new way. The Lord revealed Himself as YHWH YIREH. This is
the first place God compounded His name. YIREH will make provision when He sees
the need. He came to Abraham a second time. Let Him visit you again.
Day 8 READ any Psalm and REJOICE!
Day 9 READ GENESIS 22:16 - 19. Write your original covenant promise.
Notice here, once Abraham completed the test the Lord had him in and the revelation
came, God added another piece to Abraham's promise.
Day 10 READ EXODUS 3. Just as Moses turned aside from his daily routine
"to see the burning bush", you be willing to turn aside and see what God has
for you in the future. This chapter sets the course for a new release. This
revelation allowed God's people to be broken out of bondage and moving toward
their inheritance.
Day 11 READ JOSHUA 1. Ask the Lord to settle your mind. When we meditate
on God's plan for our life we are assured success. Let God circumcise your heart
again. Let Him sever any fleshly deed that could be hindering you. Ask Him to
remove any reproach. Expect new supply to begin. There comes a time when your
"manna" ceases!
Day 12 READ JOHN 7. Jesus participated in this great feast. This is where
He taught us about springs of living water being down deep in your bellies.
This actually means your womb. Ask the Lord to bring forth that which He has
conceived in you.
Day 13 READ JOSHUA 5:13-15. Even though Joshua had been with Moses 40
years, Joshua had to have his own revelation of Who God was before he moved
forward. Enter into a new dimension of humility for God's divine leading in
your life.
Day 14 READ JOSHUA 6. We all have our Jericho. That is the invincible
place we have to face before we can advance into our promise. Do not be afraid
to face that which seems invincible to you.
Day 15 READ II KINGS 2. Elisha was willing to follow to the end so he
could SEE the supply that was in Heaven. Don't quit pursuing until you get to
the end of a thing.
Day 16 READ II KINGS 6: 8-23. Because Elisha saw into the heavenlies,
he could pray for his servant to see Heaven's supply when the enemy had them
besieged. The supply is in the heavenlies for you. See into the invisible. Let
God blind your enemies.
Day 17 READ EPHESIANS 1 (esp. verse 3). See your spiritual blessings
in heavenly places.
Day 18 READ EPHESIANS 2 & 3. See who you are in Christ. Receive grace
through faith.
Day 19 READ PSALMS 92. Receive a new anointing and SEE your desire on
your enemy. Flourish from your new vision.
Day 20 READ I SAMUEL 9. Receive the 'seer' anointing. Saul gave a gift
to Samuel and found out where his donkeys were. Declare that you will see your
losses recovered.
Day 21 READ I SAMUEL 16. Recognize that God does not see the way man
sees. Be anointed like David.
Day 22 READ I SAMUEL 17. Once you see the way God sees and receive the
anointing He releases on you, take your Goliath down. Just be sure you're clothed
the way you're supposed to be clothed before you go into war against him.
Day 23 READ I CORINTHIANS 2. Receive supernatural wisdom, inaccessible
to the enemy. Let God show your eyes things that no eyes have seen. Let the
Holy Spirit reveal God's mind to you.
Day 24 READ ROMANS 6, 7, 8. Let the Lord crucify any area that is contrary
to His way within you. Resist the thoughts of your carnal mind and receive the
spirit of adoption that brings Father's revelation.
Day 25 READ DANIEL 2 & JOEL 2. Recognize God's sovereignty and know that
you can interpret supernatural revelation from God.
Day 26 READ AMOS 3. God does nothing unless He reveals it first to His
prophets. Amos used questions to develop a cause and effect relationship. Go
back and review the questions above to help you in uncovering what God has for
you today.
Day 27 READ JOHN 1 (esp. verse 50). Let the Lord renew your love for
the Word of God. Know that Jesus has seen where you are and wants to see an
expression of your faith.
Day 28 READ JOHN 12 (esp. verse 21). Have a desire to see the Lord high
and lifted up, performing miracles in your midst.
Day 29 READ JOHN 14 (esp. verse 19). He manifests Himself to those who
love Him and keep His commandments. Ask Him to manifest Himself to you.
Day 30 READ I JOHN 3. Faith worketh by love. Faith overcomes. Let the
outworking of love bring you into a new place of victory. Receive the Lord's
character of purity, for "the pure in heart will see God."
Day 31 READ REVELATION 1. You are blessed by reading the book of Revelation.
Know that He is the Revelator, the One that uncovers and causes you to see.
Get to know Him as Alpha and Omega. At this time He is both beginning and ending
certain things in our lives.
Day 32 READ REVELATION 2 & 3. Notice how He commended each church, pointed
out the weakness of each church, instructed each church and reiterated the promise
of each church. Let Him do the same for you.
Day 33 READ REVELATION 4. Get a new vision of the throne room of Heaven.
Let the Lord say to you, "Come up here." Let Him show you your open doors. Let
Him now show you your future.
Day 34 READ REVELATION 5. Declare that the Lamb is worthy. Read this
chapter out loud.
Day 35 READ MATTHEW 16, especially 13 - 23. Peter connected into Father's
throne room and gained overcoming revelation. May you receive your keys to unlock
that which the Lord is revealing to you. Again, be careful of your carnal mind.
After Peter's major revelation, his mind aligned with Satan's thoughts. Build,
and unlock!
Day 36 READ JOB 22: 19 - 30. See, receive, and decree a thing and watch
God establish it for you.
Day 37 READ HABAKKUK 2: 1- 4.; 3: 1, 2, 17-19. Write your new and refined
vision.
Understanding Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Trumpets, Feast of Tabernacles
Rosh Hashanah begins September 26. ROSH HA-SHANA, the "Head of the Year," is
marked with two holidays. Jews eat apples dipped in honey and wish each other
"Shana Tova!" (A Good Year). This fall feast has become the "Jewish New Year."
Rosh Hashanah heralds the beginning of the "civil" new year. Modern Rosh Hashanah
is traced back to the so-called "Feast of Trumpets," the sounding of the trumpets
on the first day of the seventh month (Tishri) of the religious calendar year
(Lev. 23:24; Num. 29:1).
On the Feast of Trumpets, or "Day of Blowing" (Yom T'ruah), "You shall have
a Sabbath, a reminder by blowing, a holy convocation" (Leviticus 23). The shofar
was used as a call to battle (Judges 3:27). It was sounded at the battle of
Jericho. In Joel (2:1), it sounded an alarm on the Temple Mount to herald the
coming of the Day of the LORD. In Joel (2:15), it is associated with repentance,
the calling of a fast and solemn assembly. In Psalm 150 it is an instrument
of jubilant praise. Zechariah 9:14 specifically states that the Lord GOD Himself
will blow the shofar when He fights in the last days with the Sons of Zion against
the Sons of Greece. This is a sound that we must get to know. The trumpet referred
to here was the shofar, a ram's horn. It was distinctive from the silver trumpets
blown on the other new moons. Silver trumpets were sounded at the daily burnt
offering and at the beginning of each new month (Num. 10:10), but the shofar
specifically was blown on the beginning of the month Tishri. (Probably the silver
trumpets were also blown since it was also the new moon.) It begins the "ten
days of awe" before the day of atonement. According to Lev. 23:24-27 the celebration
consisted of the blowing of trumpets, a time of rest, and "an offering made
by fire." YOM T'RUAH--The FEAST OF TRUMPETS begins the season and ten days later
is YOM KIPPUR, The DAY OF ATONEMENT. These ten days are known as "Days of Awe,"
where we are expected to examine ourselves, seek repentance, and make restitution.
Kippur is linked with word redemption. Success occurs when we are centered in
God's redemptive plan for our lives. By praying and seeking the Lord and allowing
the Spirit of God to cleanse us, our vision becomes refined.
The high priest made atonement for 'all the iniquities of the children of Israel
and all their transgressions in all their sins'. Atonement was first made for
the priests because the mediator between God and his people had to be ceremonially
clean. The sanctuary was also cleansed, for it, too, was ceremonially defiled
by the presence and ministration of sinful men. We find in Hebrews, an interpretation
of the ritual of the Day of Atonement as a type of the atoning work of Christ,
emphasizing the perfection of the latter by contrast with the inadequacy of
the former (Heb. 9-10). Jesus himself is termed our 'great high priest', and
the blood shed on Calvary is seen as typified in the blood of bulls and goats.
Unlike the Old Testament priesthood, the sinless Christ did not have to make
sacrifice for any sins of his own. As the high priest of the entered the Holy
of Holies with the blood of his sacrificial victim, so Jesus entered Heaven
itself to appear before the Father on behalf of his people (Heb. 9:11-14). We
find that instead of outward purification, the Spirit of the Lord works on us
internally, causing our conscience to be cleansed so we "see' clearly.
The fact that the Old Testament contains two calendars—a civil and a religious
one—complicates our understanding of the origins of this holiday. Until modern
times this day did not appear to be a major feast day. But as we prophetically
mature into the Feast of Tabernacles spiritually, these days become more and
more important. Another great significant place in the New Testament is John
7. This Feast is known as the Feast of Illumination. Let the Spirit of revelation
rest on you now!
