JIM W. GOLL: "Paul's Apostolic Heart for Israel"

1) Review of God's Road: Israel's Future – July's Vision Cast

On July 4th I was awakened with a word, "God's Road Map Is Israel's Future". With this came faith, courage and an urgency for Israel's salvation. I knew that God had a plan that would ultimately come to pass. Man's attempts at the Road Map would ultimately falter – but God's Road Map will ultimately succeed.

Earlier in the January of 2002, I had another encounter where a clock appeared on the wall in my hotel room reading 11:53 PM. The voice of the Lord came, "It is the countdown to Zechariah 12." It was 7 minutes till the midnight hour. Then while preparing to speak on July 4th, the Holy Spirit came clearly to me. "I want to talk to you about what time it is. Remember the time on the clock read 11:53. Romans 11 will be fulfilled through Isaiah 53."

Again revelation flooded my being. Israel's prophetic destiny (Romans 11) is fulfilled through the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53. This of course, is a messianic prophecy about Jesus and his suffering for the Jewish people and for all mankind. Israel's acceptance of their Jewish Messiah, Yeshua, will result in "life from the dead" (Romans 11:12-15) in the form of a worldwide revival.


2) Scriptural Foundation for Paul's' Apostolic Heart for Israel

"I am telling you the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever." Romans 9:1 – 5

"Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation." Romans 10:1

"For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and thus all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "The deliver will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob." And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins." Romans 11:25 -27
 

3) A Visionary Encounter During Our Israel Prayer Watch

During our School of the Supernatural this past June we included our regular Israel Prayer Watch as part of the noontime activities. As we were worshipping, the burden of the Lord came upon me in an increased manner. I became enveloped in rays of white light beaming towards me. I was flooded with light of God's love and revelation.

The beams seemed to draw me into their presence. I found my inner most being – my heart – being drawn deeper into the heart of God. As I watched and prayed, there appeared to be a man standing at the end of this tunnel of love. I could see the heart of this man as he stood in the light of God. The Holy Spirit indicated to me that this man represented Paul the apostle. It was as though I went into Paul's heart and I heard words echoing within its chambers. "My heart's desire is that all Israel be saved."

I wept and wept with as a fresh understanding came upon me. The Holy Spirit illuminated the words of Romans 10:1 to me, "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is for their salvation."

(Note: Please realize I am not stating that Paul the apostle actually appeared to me. It was a symbolic representation of him in a visionary encounter that the Holy Spirit initiated. This was not self-induced or nothing that any other spirit or I conjured up. None-the-less, it was a profound revelatory experience - one that I desire to properly steward and use wisdom in how it is communicated.)


4) The Apostolic Heart for Israel

As this experience has had some time to simmer within me, I realize that the Holy Spirit was doing something more than just giving me a renewed intercessory burden for the Jewish People. He was revealing an apostolic heart to me. God's desire is that all men repent and come to the saving knowledge of the truth. But the Lord wants us each to have His heart for Israel and the Jewish people worldwide. It is a part of our authentic apostolic mandate. As it is restored to the church and we will grow in understanding and love for His people. The closer we return to the true apostolic foundation of the church, the clearer we will see that ultimately we will have to deal with issues of the heart as it relates to God's heart for Israel.

5) From the Desk of James W. Goll

Most of you are aware that my dear mother, Amanda Elizabeth Goll, graduated to be with Jesus on Sunday morning, August 3rd. It was sudden, a shock to us all and she is greatly missed. Earth is a bit emptier right now but heaven is a lot fuller! As you understand, the personal loss of my mom is great for many of us.

Thanks go to all of you who have prayed for our family and sent notes of kindness and condolences. Our extended family has much work in front of us to do to prepare the old home front in Cowgill, MO for sell etc. Please pray with us during this process.

I received a generational blessing of the spirit of prayer through my mother's life. Therefore we are setting up a Memorial Fund in my mother's name for gifts to be given to the International House of David.
